- We're now a quarter of the way through the season and the league is abuzz with with both surprises and disappointments through the first four games. Which team do you think is currently overachieving and which team do you think still has a chance to bounce back as the season progresses and why?
I think one of the biggest surprises this season is the change up in the bottom of the league. Many are used to Baltimore being the worst team in the ISFL, as for the past 2 seasons, this team has barely done anything. Whether it be a stroke of luck or a sign for greater change, Baltimore is actually performing better than 3 teams, one of them being the Austin Copperheads, a favorite to make the playoffs this season. Many expected Baltimore to be 0-6 at this point, and for Austin to have at least a winning record. The Hahalua can't catch a break however, with 0 wins on the season, which can be attributed to their lackluster offense with a rookie QB at the helm. This team may very well look like how Baltimore may next season as Baltimore will be calling up a rookie QB as well, one with lower TPE. But the offense isn't only the problem, as the Hahalua rank last in both PF and PA. Their defense has given up the most points and yards, so you could argue it's doing even worse than the offense. Meanwhile, at the top, things are mostly unchanged in the NSFC side, with the top teams dominating. However, SJS seems to be doing a lot better than most people thought they would, myself included.
