Unfortunately, Borgo cannot attend every childs’ birthday party (unless the circumstances were exceptional), as then the demand for appearances would be overwhelming and distracting from his practice and training with the Philadelphia Liberty. Instead of a personal appearance, Borgo will pay for a fully decked-out Liberty party set to be delivered to the child, as well as a personally signed card. Borgo understands that it may be disappointing that he doesn’t respond to most requests for personal appearances, but he still does his best to ensure that the child has a wonderful Liberty-themed party. In a few special circumstances, Borga has recorded a personalized birthday video message for the child. If the circumstances are truly extraordinary, such as for children in the hospital, Borgo will make an exception and spend the day with the child, answering questions, playing games, and just enjoying seeing with a fan who thought of him as the star they wanted to spend time with (usually it’s the stars of the team, like Ryan Negs, Tsuyu Asui, Anders Christianson, or one of the Bell Bros from the defense). The more requested players are even less likely to make a personal appearance, so Borgo often makes exceptions to his own rules and will surprise some children by stopping by the party for a short time, but only if he doesn’t miss any practice or team activities, as he’s fully dedicated to becoming the best TE he can be.
