When Wasrabi Gleel received a letter from little Jimmy Roberts inviting him to his 10th birthday party, he was extremely flattered. The Chicago Butchers have had their fair share of struggle the last two seasons, and despite the recent shortcomings, little Jimmy’s love for the squad was clear in his letter. So Wasrabi Gleel took the afternoon to go to Party City and pick up all the supplies for a great birthday bash. Streamers, balloons, a pinata shaped like a football, and a custom made Butchers cake shaped like a giant cleaver were purchased, and afterwards he drove to the boys house to surprise him and his family.
And boy were they ever surprise to see the limousine roll up and Gleel step out. Immediately flocked and swarmed by a group of screaming kids, Gleel had to laugh as ten kids simultaneously asked for his autograph. After things settled down a bit, Gleel and the parents were able to organize a simple 7-on-7 flag football game. The kids insisted Gleel play, and after some initial reluctance he relented and decided to play TE like he did in high school.
His team, with little Jimmy at QB, absolutely dominated the other team. Gleel, being that he was literally a man amongst boys on the field, was a sure-handed red zone threat. The highlight play of the game was a beautiful fade route thrown by little Jimmy to the back-right corner of the endzone, where Gleel outstretched one hand and came down with the ball for the final score of the game, 63-7.
