With half the season in the books my main man Quarterback Colby Jack is the favorite for a plethora of individual awards, including the big one: league Most Valuable Player. The Quarterback with the best stats is usually the MVP. Cheese man Jack’s stats are tremendous: he boasts a league leading 107.9 passer rating, the only other QB in the same territory is Boss. Jack has the third most passing attempts in the league while having the second best completion percentage. So the volume matches his impressive efficiency. He has the most touchdown passes in the league to this point and is about mid pack in interceptions thrown. Jack has been leading the Yellowknife Wraith’s offense admirably, and off the field he is a consummate professional and one of the leaders in the locker room. Looking ahead to the rest of the season it will be interesting if Jack can keep up with this torrid pace. Despite his great play the Wraiths are currently on the outside of a playoff spot looking in. As a member of the Wraiths I’m hoping the rest of us could pick it up so we could get into the playoffs and defend our title. It would suck if an MVP caliber type of season was used on a team that failed to make the playoffs.
