The Bondi Beach Buccaneers season has not gone as planned. After coming within a game of the Ultimini last season, they are currently struggling to get their first win. Due to call-ups to the ISFL, they have several players getting used to new roles. Some players are excelling in their new roles. One player in particular is Chathack'rius Smith IV.
Smith is the starting Free Safety and has done an amazing job. With the call-ups, Smith has stepped up and started helping the team out with return duties. Smith has welcomed the new challenge. Starting from training camp, he has locked in what it means to play dual roles. And at the midpoint of the season he's done an admirable job. Currently he's averaging close to 10 yards per punt return. For kickoff returns he's at 15 yards per return. No touchdowns yet, but he's been improving every game. This is on top of being captain of the Buccaneers defense. On that end he has 41 tackles for the season. He's currently on pace for a new season high in tackles. Smith is an amazing teammate and has truly stepped up for Bondi Beach. In tumultuous season he has been a steadying presence for the team.
