My bold prediction is that by the end of the year, Jack Durden will lead the NSFL in rushing.
I know that Darlane Farlane is leading the league in rushing yards and attempts right now, but I do believe if Jack had the same amount of attempts he’d be leading the league. San Jose’s offensive line is getting work done, and by having five actual humans that all update makes a big difference. I’m not disputing the fact that Baltimore offensive line is bad, but just by what Durden has been able to do, it’s impressive. Out of starting running backs in the league, he only trails Boss Tweed for highest average. Tweed averages 3.9 yards per carry, while Jack is at 3.7. Darlane Farlane is bringing a 3.4 average to the table. Farlane has 217 attempts compared to Durden’s 183, and only leads 741 rushing yards to 670. That’s 71 yards on 34 carries, or basically 2 yards a carry. If San Jose’s offensive line can keep up the pressure on defensive lines, and keep the pushes going, then Jack is going to continue doing what he does best, breaking tackles and running it down opponent’s throats. Mark my words, Jack Durden will lead the league in rushing by the end of the year.
