21. Now thats three seasons on the new sim. What are your thoughts? Do you think that it is better than DDSPF16?
So full disclosure I do not pay all that much attention to the sim overall. But if I had to write about it which I kind of do, I would say that the sim as it is now is certainly better than DDSPF16. There are definitely still some issues when it comes to stat tracking in particular - we should be able to see things like penalties committed on the index for offensive linemen, and I'm assuming there were still some kind of continuity issues for team and league records overall which should also be viewable from the index. Admittedly this could be more of an issue from what we are able to handle as a league and not just issues with the index or sim and I am just not aware of what is going on behind the smokescreen so to speak. Still, even though the big numbers are not being put up by me as I mainly play interior linemen, it has been great to see some amazing record setting seasons from my fellow offensive linemen since switching to the new sim, and I am a huge fan of things like traits that we were not able to use in the old engine. Of course, I would like to actually know what those traits do in a more well-defined way, but it's still fun.
26. Football is a game that has been going on for a while, loved by fans all over. But what if you were able to make some rule changes? Talk us through your new version of football, and what would be different and why?
My version of football would truly be something to behold. There would be no need for such banalities as "keeping score", "using an actual football", or "having players at positions other than offensive and defensive line". Instead, the entire 11 on 11 game would just be linemen of both sides of the ball going head to head until either the entire defensive line gets past the offensive line, or until the entire offensive line puts the defensive line down on their butts. Basically one big rugby scrum but that's the entire game. Pancake numbers would soar even more through the roof, and each offensive lineman and each defensive lineman would be assigned their own referees, to make sure those dirty defensive linemen don't get away with any BS like they always do. This would create more jobs as refs for all of the current players too small and puny to participate in this new and better version of football. We would also do away with things like pads and uniforms, instead going at it sumo style. Huh I guess this is basically just team sumo wrestling at this point - that just sounds way better than football honestly so I am pretty sure that I have invented the best new sport on the planet thanks to this championship week task.
