This last season has been pretty interesting in regard to my life with the ISFL. I’ve been busier than ever with the league. I’ve developed more friendships along the way and I’m thankful for it. A lot of my responsibilities include making sure the starts for DSFL is in on time as well as making sure that the sims aren’t full of wonkiness or cheating in anyway. I also have to make sure that I post announcements in the Discord server so that as many people can watch the streams when it goes live. As of late I was accepted as HO Intern for the ISFL and it has been great working for the minds of Head Office with different issues, future ideas, etc. Being able to give input freely to help better the league has been great and I hope to continue with the opportunity after the season is over.
With the many things going on around the league, I’d like to make this more of a thank you to all the people I work for since they deserve credit in helping this league grow and thrive as the workload gets bigger. The first person I want to thank is @124715 as he has been the DSFL Simmer for the last couple of seasons. His willingness to help with whatever is needed as been an asset to the team and I am so glad I get to work with him almost close to everyday. He is a very busy man, but he still makes the time to make sure the Sim Team is cared for properly and I can’t wait to continue working with him for the foreseeable future. Next I’d like to thank the person who hired me for my 2nd position with the league, and that is @siddhus. During the Kya debacle, PPT needed an interim Head to take of the team as they underwent a massive change and overall blow to morale. I originally applied for the position thinking that I may be able to get the Head job, but also wanted to be in PPT as a normal member, so I was glad to hear that siddhus had received the PPT Head position in an official role. He’s been a great member to the ISFL community, and I’m still surprised he is on the younger side. He shows a mature and natural leader presence that is valuable to this league and I’m thankful to be able to work with him and help him out in anyway I can. Thirdly, I’d like to thank my man @Tylus as Recruiting Head. He is legit one of the nicest dudes I’ve ever been able to talk with, and I’m appreciative I get to call him my boss. His drive to make sure everything is correct and organized does not go unnoticed and for me is a welcome change to working with this league. He has the important task of making sure this league grows, and he needs all the support and help he can get as we just had recruitment day today. So without his activity and willingness to help and make sure things are taken care of, we wouldn’t be where we’re at.
While I’m at it, I may as well thank the people I get to work for in a player sense. @Kotasa, you have been an awesome help to my development as a player and person. Being able to be excited for game day (ever though I know the score before anyone else does) goes above and beyond for a lot of teams. You willingness to engage and literally MAKE people active is an amazing trait you have to be able to help develop the new players of the league and I look forward to what you’ll do in the future if/when you step down as GM. @mithrandir, I’m thankful for you guys drafting me with the 13th overall pick. My biggest hope was to make sure I was drafted in the first round, and you made that happen. Your calm demeanor has helped me in ways I haven’t even thought about with this league, and the fact you make sure I’m cared for with whatever concerns I have has been refreshing. Thank you for taking the chance on me and I’m proud to be dooter for the rest of my career.
I know I’m probably missing several other people and I can go on for a long time. But I feel like the people above don’t get as much credit as they should for this league. They are tremendous pillars to this community and I’m glad I can interact with them on a consistent basis. If any of you are able to talk with these guys, please do so. They are more than willing to help with whatever is needed in the league and I hope you get to feel the same way I do when I talk with and discuss whatever with them. Thank you all for making this league like a second family!
