Agent Tesla: So as you know the rules of reality recently changed as the outerverse switched to a new simulation to run for your universe. Part of that change has led to 3-4 being the dominant defensive scheme because of blitz rate changes, but those have now been heavily nerfed. Now one of the 40+ reasons we signed with Colorado is because it could get you stats playing nose tackle in a blitz heavy 3-4, and it did lead you to your sole pro bowl nod. However the team has asked what we would think if they were to switch to a 4-3. What are your thoughts?
Magnus Rikiya: Well you are both my agent and kind of the creator god of my portion of the universe. So you should know better than anyone that I am all about doing what is best for the team regardless of the consequences. We both know that this change in alignment is going to radically reduce my stats, but what I want to know is are you sure you are okay with that? Honestly you have always cared more about my stats than I have after all.
Agent Tesla: I am one hundred percent okay with the change as it should do wonders for the performance of the defense as a whole which makes for happier teammates and maybe more wins. My concern is for you Magnus. You finally got honors by making it to a pro bowl, and now that you are in regression this would basically guarantee you never make it to another. Are you sure you want to go along with it with that in mind Magnus?
Magnus Rikiya: True nose tackle has always been my calling and we both know that. My entire goal is to make the rest of the defense look better at the expense of myself and so i am happy to sign up for this to be there to make everyone else look good. That one season where every other member of the defensive line was up for their positional award is still the one I would consider my most successful as a player. Even over the season I finally got a pro bowl nod.
Agent Tesla: You know I honestly can agree with that. Your ability to soak up blockers in the middle of the line is one that does wonders for the rest of the defense, and it is honestly why I decided to stick with nose tackle for your archetype despite the sim change. Plus now that you have at least the one pro bowl nod I can still say that all of my players have made the all-star game equivalent for their league. Which is fun for me!
Magnus Rikiya: So now we just do our part with me as the aging veteran there to make others look good. Maybe even including another aging veteran on the team.
Agent Tesla: That sounds like a superb plan to me. Now time to go get pizza!

Cade York for Kicker of the Year is the case I am going to make and I think it is legitimately an easy case for me to make courtesy of their performance. York is one of just five kickers to make 50+ extra points this season, and missed just one on the season which is good for a 98% accuracy on extra point attempts. They are sixth in field goal attempts, however fourth in field goals made and the only kicker to make over 30 field goals with greater than 90% accuracy as well.
Now all that by itself would be enough in my honest opinion to vote Cade York for Kicker of the Year, however I will go a bit beyond in my support of them. Starting with the fact that their team went 11-5 on the season to win their conference, and over the course of the season were player of the game twice throughout the year. Once against division rivals the Orange County Otters where they went 4 of 4 on field goal attempts, and once against the Philadelphia Liberty where they also went 4 for 4 on field goal attempts. If they had not been perfect those two games the team not only would not be first in their conference, but might have missed the playoffs entirely as it would have gone to a three team tiebreak for the last two playoff spots of the conference.
The only two players with as many extra point attempts and better accuracy are King and Small who had 98.2 on 55, and 98.1 on 52 respectively. Meanwhile the only players with better field goal percentage period did it with 100% on 3 attempts, and 95.5% on 22 attempts, and so York's 91.7% on 36 attempts is easily the best stat line in my book. What makes his field goal percentage stand out even more though is his long kicks as he went 6 of 7 on 50+ yard field goals.
All together vote Cade York please!
