TASK 14 (5 TPE) Describe your player and/or team’s journey through this latest season. What were the highlights? What were the lower points? What might you have done differently? What are your expectations for next season?
Coming into the season, the Arizona Outlaws are considering a top 3 or even top 2 contender to win it all. The team had it all on the offense. The QB Charlemagne Cortez is one of the brightest QB stars in the entire league with his amazing rookie league. He is well complemented with a whole slew of strong receivers which includes Taro Raimon, Darren Pama, and Thomas Passman. And not to be one-dimensional, their running game is the best in the league with reigning MVP Tatsu Nakamura and Deadly Memes to boot. The defensive is solid with the best safety, Jadakiss and a whole slew of solid cornerback and defensive tackles. After the entire season, the Outlaws came out of the conference in the first seed with a 11-5 record. Both ends of the team performed well with a top 3 offensive in all categories and the defense was top 2 overall in point against. They were also the unanimous best defensive to prevent the opponent's running game. There was several highlights throughout the season. Starting at Week 15, Cortez threw a career defining type game to help Arizona officially secure their 1st seed in the ASFC. He ended with a 110+ passing rating and threw over 400 passing yards and 2 touchdowns. in Week 10, Tatsu Nakamura showed he still can continue off his MVP season with a fabulous performance. He almost rushed 200 yards minus a few yards and got 3 touchdowns as a result. This performance is definitely up there in considerations as offensive performance of the year. In the playoffs, the Outlaws continue their curse of playoff anti-success with yet another exit in the ASFC playoff game. The defensive couldn't stop the passing game and Cortez had a horrid start.
Moving to Raimon's season, he had another great season at catching the ball. He received over 1400 yards which almost matched his breakout season in S27. His highlight came late in the season where he starting to pick up the pace after a mediocre first half of the season. In Week 12 and 13, he caught a total of 250+ yards. In Week 16, he caught over 130 yards including the game winning touchdown in overtime. In the playoffs, he set his playoff and career high in single game reception yards with 181 yards. However this didn't come with a lowlight. In the 1st half of the game, Cortez threw to a wide open Raimon which let him run almost over 70 yards. But Raimon was tackled and he fumbled the ball into a turnover. After that, it pretty much set the tone to the end of the Outlaw's season.
