If you are looking for fair and balanced play leading to healthy competition, baseball shouldn't be your poster child. When some roided out crazy dude is hitting more home runs, that sells more jerseys and tickets. It's in their best interest to not punish this shit. This is a bad analogy.
It's not like there's a whole era of players who used substances and are now basically banned because of how much the game was tainted.
