It’s pretty simple. Honky Tonk Haywood make be out of the league, but he’ll always be a performer. Haywood would immediately return to his roots in Nashville (sorry, Philadelphia!) and get back into the music scene. He was never a songwriter, so he has no qualms about getting on stage an taking requests or making guest appearances – from the Ryman to the touristy dive bars. So you’ll be able to no doubt find advertisements on the streets of Nashville for the former NFL star’s nightly appearances on the strip, taking requests and venmos from the visiting public. There’s always the chunk of change he’ll make for showing up at Kid Rock or Toby Keith’s bar and bringing some energy. Maybe it’s not the best long term plan for a really large man, but there will be income to be made in his post-playing days by simply existing in his own element. And hell, maybe down the line you’ll see “Honky Tonk’s Honky Tonk” bar down in Nashville – playing all the best and worst country music in the country. Let’s just hope Haywood can leave the physical aspects of it all to the actual bouncers. Although a guest appearance in bouncing would be a sight to see!
