Patrik Money has long had a business outside of football. In fact, if you ask Money about his profession, he is a footballer second and farmer first. Money has the largest potato farm in all of Canada, an impressive feat given the harsh weather conditions in Yellowknife. He provides most of the potatoes used in Yellowknife and the surrounding area and makes plenty of money on the side doing that. He has always made more money from that than any football contract, so he considers his playing career as a much more secondary income. He has even decided to invest some of the funds from his playing career into the stock market for his longer term future for if he ever feels like sitting back and relaxing without farming anymore. All of the stocks and indexes he invests in are all potato themed though so he is being true to his roots. Money really needs the crisps, chips and waffle industries to really go through the roof to make significant money off of them but he doesn’t mind as he should be more than capable of looking after himself off just the farming money. The farm itself is a large investment should he ever choose to sell it and move to a sunnier climate.
