Saleem Spence doesn't really have any sort of "dirt" in his past, but there are a few events in his life history that could be wildly misinterpreted. Growing up in Compton, Spence was caught in the crossfire of several gang wars, that tended to erupt whenever Spence was leaving Pop Warner games. Occasionally, people got shot by someone with actual marksmanship, and when he did, Spence was often questioned and then released by police officers. This could be misinterpreted as Spence being a criminal somehow, by a reporter short of ethics, intelligence, and morality.

Spence also has similar "dirt" to many other athletic stars in the league, as a result of his abuse of drugs such as Total Pectoral Energizing. Spence, like many athletes, notices no adverse health effects, and insists the drug is safe, unlike steroids and growth hormones and etc. Many reporters, bought and paid for by rival drug companies, like to slander the drug in the papers, and Spence is one of many athletes who are high-profile users of the drug. A Supreme Court decision on TPE's full legality one way or another is pending, so it'll be anyone's guess as to whether this dirt ends up being useful is taking down Spence or not.
