I know exactly what Dee Walt would choose to do. He would immediately call out this shady reporter and tell them that they should just spill the dirt. He would first tell them to spill the dirt off of the record, but the reporter would almost certainly choose to either keep it on the record if they actually did have dirt on Dee Walt. Or if they didn't actually have any dirt on Dee Walt, and were just trying to stir up controversy, they would most likely just say that they didn't want to say what it was that they actually had. Dee Walt has probably had two or three or four or five too many margaritas to deal with this reporter, and would be way too confident in this encounter. Even if he thought that the reporter actually did have dirt on him, he would probably still confront the reporter to try to scare them into backing down. If the reporter did end up having actual dirt on Dee Walt that could actually end up hurting Dee Walt's career, he would probably wait until this bold reporter spilled whatever it was that he or she had, and then he would choose to offer a handsome bribe to keep it under wraps. Dee Walt is a gambling man, so he would pretty much just play the odds. As soon as he felt like he had it in the bag, he would drop the subject as soon as possible. If the reporter had something real, he would probably just offer a sum of money that the reporter couldn't pass up. The wage gap between ISFL players and reporters is too big of a margin. It's actually a big problem in our country that someone that creates art out of sports doesn't make 10% as much money as a modern day gladiator. But that's an issue that we can talk about another day.
