Mike Boss was pretty much the laughing stock of the NSFL in season 1, and with good reasons. Everybody just loved bringing up that infamous 6 INT game against the Outlaws. People probably will for his entire career but if he keeps playing like he does in S2, this game will soon be nothing but an unpleasant memory.
With two games less played, all of his statistics are better. He completed roughly 62 % of his passes against 59 % in the NSFL's first season. It might not seem like a big difference but it is considering how much more he passes overall, with 451 passes attempted vs 352 last season. He also already has 7 more TDs this year and will probably finish the season with over 1k additional yards gained. when compared to other QBs in the NSFL, he leads a lot of categories.
While, as a team, the Otters are in a very similar position this season compared to S1, they are probably far more confident going into the playoffs this time around, with a quarterback who showed an exceptional progression in such a short period of time. This could be explained by his ability to make better decisions on the field or perhaps by the vote of confidence he received from the Otters' management when they decided to keep him over Bercovici. Sports are often about what's going on between players' ears and Mike Boss is a good example of that fact.
