Everybody knows him now, but last year his numbers were good not great. This year Ryan Flock has really stepped up his game and is definitely in contention for the most improved player. Last year Flock had an impressive 71 tackles and 3 interceptions for 3 passes defended. Solid stats for his rookie year but Flock had 0 tackles for loss and no touchdowns, there was definitely room to improve. This year Flock has become one of the most impactful safeties with only Lincoln Jefferson being the only one arguably better than him. Through eleven game so far he has 50 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, an impressive six interceptions, 9 passes defended, and a whopping 4 touchdowns off of the 6 interceptions. Flock has been able to double his interception number from last year through just eleven games so far. Also last year he wasn't able to take any of his three interceptions to the house, this time around if you see Flock pick off one of your passes there is a damn good chance he is going to take it all the way. Also Flock has three passes defended that didn't result in interceptions this year. Even when he isn't able to get both hands on the ball he is making an impact with tipped passes and just generally getting in the receivers way. With that being said Flock has definitely outperformed his expectations and has been one of the best safeties this year making him the most improved player in my eyes.
