Deshawn Penne has a taste for the culinary world, and to be honest would have been a chef if it weren't for my freakish athletic gifts. As a little kid I wanted to go to culinary school, so after I retire I'll probably take some time off (a year or two) and then start applying to culinary schools to broaden my skill set. After that, I'll start developing a menu and aim to open up a restaurant in the city where my jersey is retired (hopefully), San Jose. Whether I can parlay this into becoming the team chef or at least the nutrition coordinator for the Sabercats is to be determined, but it's not outside the realm of possibility.
All throughout this time I will be giving back to the community that lifted me up in San Jose as any uber rich and successful athlete should, as well as giving back to my rural small-town upbringings in North Carolina to make it easier for the next Deshawn Penne to break through and succeed.
