1. Some people have questioned your motor and level of passion during games in college. How can you reassure teams about this?
2. What's the thing an offensive lineman can do to hamper your game the most?
3. What part of your game are you looking to improve on the most with the help of NSFL coaching and conditioning?
4. What sorts of activities do you enjoy during your free time?
1. Some people have questioned your motor and level of passion during games in college. How can you reassure teams about this?
I think those that are questioning my motor need to go watch the film. In 2015 I led the nation in sacks in a top conference. In 2016 I faced 2-3 blockers on nearly every play and I still got 9 sacks and 14 TFL. Those guys saying I wasn't passionate in the games and don't have the motor don't know what it's like on the field with three guys on you. Once I get to the league, I'm going to be lined up next to guys who also need double teams so you'll see me beating the 1-2 men that line up against me.
2. What's the thing an offensive lineman can do to hamper your game the most?
In the NCAA a lineman's favorite move was to hold me. If they can't get away with the hold the double team and/or chip block can always cause a DE like me to change my game a bit to get home.
3. What part of your game are you looking to improve on the most with the help of NSFL coaching and conditioning?
I am looking to improve my strength and endurance. Coming into the league I want to take full advantage of the pros strength and conditioning so I can stay at the top in strength for my position and stay on the field for the entire game.
4. What sorts of activities do you enjoy during your free time?
When I'm not on the field or watching film I like to play some basketball. I've also starting playing these new tabletop board games, Settlers of Catan has been by go-to for a relaxing Sunday afternoon after a big game.

A lot of players get swept up in their own football persona. There's a lot of talk of guys not knowing how to make the adjustment to normal life once their careers are over. If you weren't playing football, what profession would you be in? Do you feel your time at college has prepared you for anything other than a pro football career?

I finished my bachelors degree in three years and started my M.B.A. I declared for the draft before finishing, but I plan on circling back on completing it once my career is done and I'm inducted to the HOF. With a degree in business I would probably go with some management roles in the start-up market. Here in the Bay Area I've seen a lot of the silicone valley money in action. My college experience and my natural born leadership skills would make me a good fit for management of up-and-coming businesses close to home.

1) What distracts you the most from the game?
At this point in my career I have learned to manage distractions to my game. Football is my passion and I've worked hard to get where I am now. That won't be changing.
2) If you had 5 concussions in your first 3 years, would you continue to play even with the risk of future health problems?
I haven't had a concussion in my career. I have been well coached to use proper equipment and tackling techniques. I would have to reevaluate my decision if I started going down that road.
3) What's your favorite lift?
I'm all about the dead lifts.
4) What can you bring to an NSFL locker room?
I've got intensity and natural leadership, with words and example. I"m the guy that keeps his teams in games even when we're down 30 at the half. I came from a school without a lot of respect or success on the field but even when we played the best in the nation from the Pac-12 our team was playing hard.
Plus, when the game is done. I'm there with the jokes to keep morale up.

What's the strongest part of your game?
The strongest part of my game is my technique. You see a lot of the top prospects coming out and they've got one, maybe two moves.
I've spent years developing moves so I can manipulate the Oline and get to the ball. If you watch my film you'll see bull rushes, speed rushes, swim moves, spin moves, rip moves, and even hump moves. Once you got all of the moves down the offense can't predict how you're going to attack and it makes it hard to limit you from impacting the play on every down.

5. Are you more likely to get picked high and underachieve, or fall and overachieve? Why?
1. What's the best way you find to get hyped for a game?
Man I like to take in the sound of the stadium. The home team gets my going because they're all in to the game just like we are. When playing on the road the hate from that other team really fuels me. The deafening sound of a stadium gets my motor going.
2. Do you prefer to practice alone or with the team?
I'm all about the team practices, but I still hit the field solo to put in extra time. As an edge defender I understand when the rest of the D is playing well, I play well. If the corners force the QB to hold the ball longer, I can hit him more. If the other DE is having a good game, I'm not taking every RB/TE chip. And when my big boys are getting pressure up the middle the QB can't step up and escape me.
3. Will teams have a good LR presence from you, or a bad one? Be honest.
Man, my college teammates and me are brothers. If you ask any one of them they'll let you know that I show up to win. If somebody isn't playing hard, I'll light a fire under their ass to make sure we're playing our best football as a unit.
4. Which team are you looking forward to being apart of and why?
I'm looking forward to play for any team in the league, I have worked hard to be here and can't wait to show the world that I can play with the best. Plus, I can't tell you who I'm most looking forward too, since I don't know who has the #1 overall pick yet.
5. Are you more likely to get picked high and underachieve, or fall and overachieve? Why?
I don't care where I get picked, I'm going to overachieve. I'm going to be the best player in this draft. Every team that doesn't pick me is going to regret it for my career.

To start, some have question your dependence on strength. What do you say to those who think you are unable to utilize agility effectively?
I don't know who's saying I'm too dependent on strength. I put up one of the fastest 3-cone drills for a DE all-time. If you watch my film I got into the backfield regularly with my quickness of the snap and my spin moves, which are all about agility and quickness. So to those guys I'll just tell em to go watch some film.
Lastly who was your mentor through out your young career? A coach? Maybe a Parent?
My mentor is definitely my father. He played pro bowl when he was younger, so I was able to watch him tear it up on Sundays. I got a head start learning the in-and-outs of the game, which has helped with my development in terms of the cerebral part of being a player and my technique at the line and in coverage.

Is there any Defense End in the NFL or College you model your game after?
I like to model my game after a guy named Cameron Jordan man. He's out there playing hard all game and leading defense that may not put up the best numbers. But he's getting to the QB and making plays.
How many sacks will you get this season?
I'll have to earn playing time this season so I'll go conservative and say I'll be trying to beat 13 sacks on the season, and 20 TFL.
Do you expect to have any difficulties containing the outside run?
I don't expect to have difficulties. I'm a strong player that understands my role in a defense. If my coach needs me to have outside contain so we can get a stop, that's where I'll be.
Is your goal to decapitate as many quarterbacks as possible?
Nah man, if you go for the head that's a penalty in this league. My goal is to make 8 QBs shit themselves this season.
Why should quarterbacks fear your pass rush?
I mean...do you want your family to see you shit yourself on the field?

No one is questioning your speed! You can trust me on that. Rather you have a strength when it comes to bull rushing but you may be less effective with spin and swim moves. Some may see that as one dimensional. Any thoughts to those people?
For these people the first thing I'm going to say is watch the tape. I used the bull rush a lot in college because it's how I made plays. I was rarely left 1 on 1, where the swim and spin moves are most effective, the rare occasion where I had the opportunity line-up against one guy, I demonstrated spins and swims. On the majority of plays, my biggest shot at getting to the ball was running through a couple of guys.
When I'm given the opportunity in the pros to line up in one on one situations, I'll be able to more regularly display all of my skills. And you can bet your ass I've been putting in extra work on my swim and spin moves since these questions have arisen.

Do you feel like you're a superior prospect to Tomlinson Spearhead and varga?
I think there are some really good guys out there that do some really good things. I'm a fan of power guys like Spearhead and I think there are a lot of similarities to our game. A lot of these guys are coming out of big, successful schools where they were surrounded by talented players, I had great teammates at Cal but nobody on the defensive side of the ball is in this draft but me. I think I'm on of the best players in this draft.
Do you feel like your name similarity to justin tuck helps?
I think the name helps. It gives me something to live up to. I don't want to disappoint the name.
Do you think working on your block shedding technique needs work?
I think I can always improve my game. If I am stuck on a block on a single play in a game, or for a half second too long on a play, then my game there needs work. That's why I'm constantly putting in the time.
When will you be drafted if gms are smart?
If they're smart they'll draft me before their opponents and before their QB, otherwise they're going to have to face me and risk that guy going down for the season.

Despite increased concerns in CTE developing in football players, you chose to ignore those concerns. Why or how did you rationalize to yourself it was worth it?
I love this game. This game is my life because it is my passion. I'm not going out on the field for paychecks and fame. I'm going out there to chase greatness on the field that I love.
Obviously the league could do more to protect players, but as a fan and player of the game, I take necessary steps to protect myself on my brothers out there. I use the appropriate equipment and form when taking on blockers and making tackles.
Which position do you think makes the greatest impact on the game?
There's a two way tie here. The guy who gets his guys the ball and the guy that stops that guy from getting the ball to his guys. Obviously, I'm the latter.
If you could play for any team in the league, which would you pick?
It's always been my goal to play in the league. There are a lot of great teams out there and I'd be happy to help bring any of them to greatness.
The Arizona Outlaws have a great culture that I become a part of, the San Jose SaberCats are my local team so I wouldn't mind being an idol for the kids in my community, the Yellowknife Wraiths seem like an organization that are building a great culture and winning atmosphere. All of the teams in the league would make me honored to be part of their franchise.
Where do you think you'll wind up in the draft?
I should go in the first round, but realistically I wouldn't be surprised to see myself go in the 3rd or 4th round. I don't mind having a chip on my shoulder. Teams are going to regret passing on me.
Favourite animal?
I'm all about those Chameleons man. Those things are crazy. They're lizards and they're in trees changing color and shit. That's some magic right there.

My mental fortitude man. Mentally I am stronger than I am physically. You can wear down an opponent with mental challenges as well as physical ones, that's something I like to do with my diverse skill set and pass rushing moves. I can work through pain and injuries, and I've got the drive to keep putting in the work everyday. It doesn't matter what's going on in my life, I'm going to keep punching that clock.
Do you think your placement in the recent mock draft is a fair assessment?
No. If I don't go in the top 25 it's going to be a travesty for every QB in the league, because I'm already to be out for blood this year, these guys don't want to give me any more motivation.
Any Offensive Linemen/Tight Ends that you're interested to test your pass rushing skills on?
I lined up against a lot of these guys in college and at the Senior and All-American Bowls. Angus Winchester seemed to be pretty impressive in the All-American Bowl and I would be excited to go head to head with a competitor like that in the future.
I wouldn't call lining up against a tight end a test, that's a mistake.
Care to reveal some of your special moves to get past the OL and get to the QB?
I think you'll just have to wait and see what else I've got on game day. I'm a competitor and don't plan on giving up my secrets for fame.
What's your favorite fruit?
Cherries are my go to man. I used to pick them right off the tree as a kid.

Thanks for holding this presser, and good luck in the Draft!
1.) Given the prospects in this years draft, can you tell me who you would rather line up with on defense at every level? (Dline, LB, and DB)
J.J. Reigns is a guy that looks like he's going to be a different maker from the DT position in the league. Vinny Cox is a force in the run and pass game up the middle too.
I wouldn't mind having a guy like Tyler Varga, Jason Spearhead, or Fuego Wozy on the other end of the line. I think two top end power rushers can take a game over.
Dirk Cutter is probably the best CB for my money in this draft. If you can get a guy like that who can shut down a an entire side of the field, they just buy me more time to get to that QB.
2.) Regarding this years Running Backs, is there anybody that will be a handful for you and your team if they are drafted to another team?
I haven't seen any RBs in the pre-draft games that have really stood out for me. I'm working on improving my game and gelling with the guys I'm lined up with at this part of the season, I'll worry about the RBs and WRs when they're the guys I'm going to be taking down on Sunday. That's when I'll hit the film hard.
3.) We all know Mobile Quarterbacks are a nightmare on any given Sunday, so with the Mobile Quarterbacks in this years draft, who are you looking forward to catching first?
I like to hit QBs. I don't care if he's the fastest guy in pocket or a guy in a wheelchair. I want to hit him.
4.) I understand that you believe in your ability and technique, but is there one aspect of your game that needs work?
I look forward to working with NSFL level coaches, trainers in staff to help me improve all aspects of my game. Whether it be technique, conditioning, strength, or breaking down film. No aspect of my game will never NOT need work. Even the best can get better.
5.) Lastly a fun one. What song would you like played after a sack, or when you enter the stadium during pre-game. Pre-game something heavy to get me pumped. Throw me some ACDC. After a sack I think something light hearted and good for laughs might be more appropriate. How about the Scooby Doo chase song leading up to and following the sack?
