Eidur Gustavsson of the Yellowknife Wraiths is the best rookie defender in the league. You might not know it yet but he is going to be a force for the Wraiths, especially after the recent trade that saw Boggs shipped to the Yeti. Eidur is everything you want in an edge rusher, he stands 6'6" and weighs a muscular 330lbs. You do not want to be tasked with stopping this man! The raw strength of Gustavsson is going to be on full display as he seals the edge and hauls down tiny running backs like King Kong swatting down planes.

His foot speed is a bit of concern right now and that might impact his numbers a bit but the coaching staff were raving about his coach-ability and they were hopeful to see this fixed by mid season. Personally I don't think it will matter, he has a motor that doesn't quit and the heart to match and once he gets to full speed he's like a gotdamn locomotive engine. The Wraiths also boast a spectacular defence with a potent secondary and that will lead to this Icelandic giant coverage sacks. Rumour has it that Gustavsson would have been a first round pick but managers were scared off his foreign upbringing and not being immersed in the football culture and I cannot wait to be there when he shows those GMs how wrong they were.
