The two names I like best are Mike Boss and Ethan Hunt. Now I know what you are thinking: What is so special about these two names?! But I can explain.
Ethan Hunt is the main character from the Mission Impossible movies, which is an awesome thing in my eyes. Imagine the backstory! Super secret spy becomes star Quarterback. Just imagine the headlines! It could be so awesome to read backstory of him and to go deeper with that character.
Mike Boss is admittedly a lesser awesome name, but I just really love how it sounds. Could lead to many puns and catchphrases like "Like a Boss" etc. Lots of room for marketing and making a lot of cash off of endorsement deals.
But the real reason is that I have created this fantasy in my head, where Mike Boss and Ethan Hunt are secretly dating and will create a lovechild. A lovechild that will combine their two names and eventually it will make a SUPER Quarterback named Mike Hunt.
Mike Hunt will be amazing. No matter the rain, he will just play even better when he is wet. Let's just hope he won't get pounded by the defense because otherwise he will be sore the next day.
