A new thought just occurred to me.
What if, in addition to just having one OL position open for each team, the GMs just got to choose their other 4-5 OL from templates? Maybe they'd all be 100-150 TPE versions of the run blocker, pass blocker, etc. Each GM can choose how many of each they'd like, and they can move them all around at their leisure.
Your human player is pretty much always going to be stronger than your bots, so it would keep the focus where it should be. And GMs can move their single player around to counter strategies from opponents (e.g. Where do I think Tuck is going? If they keep him on the left, I need my PC OL there. If I think they're going to put him on the right, I should counter him there. Maybe put your OL at G or C to counter someone like Dan Miller.) I think it adds an interesting element of strategy.
