I recently received a message regarding Free Agency from a team and they mentioned something that I can try to correct here. It was mentioned that I don't speak a lot in media so my free agency wishes are probably a little unknown to some. I figured i'd clear the air and let prospective teams know what I'm looking for in free agency and what exactly it would take to sway my player to your team.[/div]
1. Contract: I'm not looking for anything that dramatically breaks your teams bank. I'm not a selfish prick who takes 23 Million to be carried to a championship game like some other players. I'm not looking for anything long-term per say as the landscape of teams in this league seems to switch on a week by week basis. Probably looking at a two year contract as the max term and the value anywhere from 6-8 Million dollars per season at the max.
2. Locker-Room: I'd love to play with some guys that I know of and know are committed in other leagues that don't go inactive. It's always best to know some people so it's not a bunch of randoms who go about their business without a peep being heard from the locker room. A more mature older locker room would be cool as well, as having played with Ethan Hunt; youngsters are a little bit annoying.
3. Roster: Looking for a roster with a quarterback that is at least above average and not someone that has "build on things for the future". Quarterback is the one thing that makes my numbers the way they are and without a capable one it doesn't make sense to join that offence. In San Jose our quarterback had a connection with one receiver and thus I never was thrown to in the end zone. I factor that on a couple things with one of them being they didn't properly know how to work a depth chart to overcome this whole thing.
4. Realistic Approach: Don't tell me "Oh and if you sign we'll be getting this guy!". I want the realistic approach and not some fantasy land where you tell me everything I want to hear. Think about it, every team is going to tell me they have the best shot at a championship and the best chance at beating the non-parity NSFL Arizona Outlaws. I want to know what reason you'd be able to compete and not that you are gong-ho about winning and that you have all these Trump-like promises.
5. Attention to Detail: If you didn't know I was a free agent until now, don't bother messaging me. It shows you aren't paying attention and that's not someone I really want to sign with.
If you can meet me on some of these we might have a deal. Also I'd love to be the number one option and not stuffed down the depth chart.
