Ryan Sierra – off-season workout program
This past off-season was the first year Sierra has had a full off-season to train solely as an offensive lineman. Firmly bulking up, by submersing himself in the Häftnor Bjornsson diet, consuming roughly 10,000 calories a day. Merely eating this much food throughout a day is a workout in of itself, but then adding weight training, agility training, and unconventional cross training with “The Mountain” himself, Häftnor. “Having a training partner like Ryan has really pushed me as I prepare for the World’s Strongest Man competition.” Said Bjornsson. When asking Sierra about how he got hooked up with Häftnor, he said, “I've always been a fan of the Strongman competitions, and when I was 15, my dad took me to one of the regional competitions outside of Lake Tahoe, CA. I was hook from then on. During my last year at UK, I reached out to Bjornsson through his booking agent just ask about his workout regimen. When he call me back personally, I was flabbergasted, so stoked to be talking to someone I had so much aspiration and respect for. We hit it off well from the jump-off.”
Ryan Sierra has benefited from his combination of unorthodox workouts but credits Bjornsson with his new found drive and motivation to become the best athlete he can because of Häftnor's leadership and love for helping others.
