Yes, because it's going to be the same answer each time. Contract minimums will not change before we have people at the top tier. All that would result in is us changing them back when people get there. We are not going to change a rule just to change it back later.

I can get behind budgets being updated each season to reflect players TPE tiers. If a player rolls into the next tier their contract bumps up

No that's what I meant. I mean scaling it to increase with TPE. So if Chess already passed 400 TPE his salary should increase to 2M. That's what I was suggesting.
