Heath Evans has been drafted two times now, once into the Developmental Simulation Football League and once into the National Simulation Football League, at 39th and 15th respectively. While Evans was fairly confident that he would end up going to Myrtle Beach in the DSFL he knew there were other tight end prospects that they were considering drafting. Once Phillips had left the board, Evans was certain he was going to the Buccaneers, this started off his career and ultimately led to his agent Thor being selected as the team co-GM two seasons later.
Evans also had strong suspicions about being drafted to the Outlaws, but didn't expect to be off the board so early in the second round. While he was a little concerned to be joining a team in a rebuilding phase the offence has utilised him as a lynchpin leading to a tight end of the year nomination in his rookie season. This season has continued to be more of the same with Heath seeing a significant amount of targets and another good chance at a nomination for TEotY alongside a potential pro bowl nod. The draft process overall was very exciting and Heath's agent Thor is glad he gets to be a part of the draft every season now ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() [OPTION]Balanced || 6'5'' || 265 lbs || #77

The DSFL draft was a pretty big one for me, as I desperately wanted to go to Myrtle Beach after recreating to Despacito Jr. I felt like if I could go to a team a bunch of my pals and other cool people are with it would invigorate actual SHL activity in me, and it did.
However, the NSFL draft was the huge one for me. I was incredibly stressed going into it because although I knew I only wanted to join OCO all along, I was not at all sure of their interest in taking me. On the day of the draft I knew I was not going to go high at all cuz obviously I went IA at 57 TPE on my last player, but with every subsequent round after the first two that passed, I started to get very nervous that the Otters were looking in another direction. Then, in round six Orange County came around to drafting me at last, and I was over the moon. There's a bunch of cool people in there and although I'm not super active in their Discord due to this being my second league, I could not be happier to be their player and I'm super excited to join their squad next season. After the whole Myrtle Beach tampering fiasco I told myself I was going to leave the site altogether unless Orange County took me, so since things ended up working out for me I am happy to be sticking around and helping out my boys in Orange. #FreeJeffie (260 words) ![]() ![]()

I have been part of 2 drafts now. And both of them were awesome and exciting. I will tel you something about NSFL draft i have been part of. The time befor the draft is always very interesting because a lot of people contanct you and talk to you about your goals, your team spirit and a lof of other (sometims funny) things. I had a lot of good talks with all these team scouts and managers. And then the most important day of my young carrer came. The season 23 NSFL draft, The whole day i was super nervous because i really had no clue where i would end up. I hoped that i could join one of my friends in the hawks or the sailfish team. I expected to go round 2 or 3 and i thought that i would be number 2 or 3 CB in this draft. I waited round one and to an started to get a bit nervous because 3 other CB had been picked in front of me so far. The hawks picked another CB over me. That made me feel a bit mad to be honest. But then round 3 started and it was up to sailfish to pick. They first picked Mike Karpaasi and after that it was my turn. Bex said sarasota picks mikel van perkins and that i am the steal card they cash in on there. I was very happy to land up on that team with my mate James Angler. I immediatly talked to GM Frostbite and we had a great conversation. After 3 CB were picked before myself i got hungy to prove them all wrong. I wanted to show my new team that they can count on me and that i wooul to more then last season to improve myself and get stronger. So in the end i would say it was an awesome draft with a very good result for me. Next season when i come upp to the NSFL i will show no mercy with all the doubters.

Drafts are always a very interesting thing. My first draft was an incredibly special and unique one for me. I was not really around for very long yet and I did not have a huge clue about how the league works and what this was going to be like here. I was surprised to see that I had a really decent shot to be picked in the first round, thanks to being really enthusiastic early on. I ended up having great conversations with some of the GMs and thought that there were a few teams that were really interested in me. At the time, I really got along very well with one other player in the draft, Benson Bayley, who I bonded over wrestling with and we became good friends. Through that, we had a small dream of being taken by the same team, which suddenly seemed like a possible thing, as San Jose had two draft picks back to back. It seemed like they were ready to take Bayley already, so I was hoping to also be picked by them, but instead they ended up picking a kicker. It really disappointed me and I think it gave me the motivation I really needed, to be really great and to have the type of career that I ended up having, leading to eventually being inducted into the hall of fame.

It seems crazy to me that the Season 17 NSFL Draft was almost a year ago, but I remember having no idea where my player would be drafted. I was one of the top earners at the time in my class so I figured I would be selected in the first round, but there were very few teams that were desperate for a wide receiver. I remember having particularly good conversations with sloth, Arizona GM at the time, and speculadora, Orange County GM at the time. Both of them were slated for later in the first round so I figured I would have to wait. I was eventually drafted by Orange County, but they actually passed on me at first. They drafted Honda Edmond, but Austin really wanted him so they essentially traded back one spot with Austin and picked me. I had a pretty wild ride of emotions watching it unfold in the stream, but I was very thrilled to join the most successful organization in league history. In hindsight if that trade had not gone through I would have likely slid into the second round because Arizona was fixated on Saba and nobody else with picks in the first needed a wide receiver. Looking back at our draft class as a whole we were small, but had a high percentage of dedicated users. S17 will likely go down as one of the more underrated draft classes in history.

I joined the league shortly before the DSFL draft was meant to take place, to be honest, I didn’t even know there was a draft when I first joined. The build-up consisted mainly of trying to get my player prepared for the draft and try to learn as much as I possibly could so I didn’t go into this blind. I was also in communication with some scouts that were interested in me. The awesome part about this was the fact they helped me prepare for the draft as well seeing as how this could potentially not only benefit them but also me.
Originally, I was concerned that not only would I be taken in the draft, but that I wouldn’t end up on a team at all. One thing that reassured me was the interest shown in me by the Grey Ducks association. I was also open to a position change which seemed to help raise my draft stock at the time. Finally, the day came I was nervous and excited; I wasn’t sure where I would end or who I would end up with, but I was hoping by this point to land with the Grey Ducks. Then it happened with the 34th pick in the S23 draft I was picked up by the Minnesota Grey Ducks. I was excited and relieved it was the ideal situation that I was hoping for and it came to fruition. ![]()

Ah the S22 NSFL Draft. What a draft it was. Most stacked class in NSFL history, sporting over 280 players, and I was one of them. Going into the draft, it was regarded that I was one of the top wide receiver prospects in the class, along with two others. William Lim and fellow Coyote Michael Witheblock. Both outstanding players and deserving of a high draft selection. As it happened on the day however, us wide receivers tumbled down, as the defensive needy teams, which was every team, feasted on the buffet of talent there was on offer. The third round came round, and I felt strongly that this was the round I’d be taken. Halfway through, Honolulu is on the clock. Then Commissioner Bex announces a trade! The Austin Copperheads acquire the selection through a mighty trade. An S23 1st and 2nd, plus a S22 7th, in return for the S22 3rd and an S23 2nd. Austin was a team openly looking for a top talent in the receiver position, and I had felt very strongly about my interviews with the GMs and had a blast in the scouting locker room. And there it was! I was selected with the 31st overall selection to the Austin Copperheads, with the honour of being the first WR to be selected that draft. It was a superb feeling and I was thrilled to be part of such a great team and start my career.
