8 pages later I'd like to help Manic a bit here because I'm sure hes reading through these messages and wanting to smack a few people.
So I will remind everyone that this thread and this current situation and the eventual voting are about whether Bex is good for the league as Commissioner going forward. This is not about whether she said mean things. This is not about whether she was nice to your face and then nasty when you weren't around, which is a dick move but also not against any rules I know of. This is not about the potential tampering that she has essentially been punished for already. This is not about whether her secret mean girls club held influence in HO decisions (if you dont think nearly every HO member that's ever served had a side group of advisors that they bounced things off of, you're wrong). This isn't about the numerous inconsistencies in behavior between her expectation of others and her own actions (as more than one person has complained about). This isn't about your personal feelings towards Bex as a human being before, during, and after these revelations. This isn't about whether New Orleans held any sort of unlawful influence (DD himself personally informed me that Juosu had zero knowledge of events). This isn't about whether DD was some kind of martyr. He wasn't. He chose pettiness and revenge for slights over morals, ethics, privacy, and trust. He chose to commit what I personally view as several dozen acts of harassment with willful destructive intent. Since I'm on the topic here, let me clear up something I've heard a bit. HO didn't ban him to protect Bex. She didn't say a word about it. They banned him because I asked for it and several other GMs followed suit. If you have an issue with that, I'm easy to find. This isn't about any of these things individually, and any attempt to paint it as being about these things individually is a mistake at best and a lie at worst. They play a factor, sure. The behavior, actions, and results are tied to the entire situation. But to frame this entire situation as being about them is simply wrong. Manic was very careful and very clear on this point and for good reason This is about what each HO member and GM directly feels (via their votes) and every member of this community indirectly feels (via how you influence your voting representatives decisions) about the significant rule break of deleting evidence during an investigation. Regardless of what one thinks that evidence might have been. This is what we all think of the ability for Bex to continue on as Commissioner, regardless of what people may feel about her personally right now. This is what we think of the state of the league if she is not Commissioner, a very real scenario that must factor in (where we will need a new Commissioner in addition to still having to round out HO which is losing 2 more members on top of the one who already quit during these events). What this is about is how this league moves forward. And catty bullshit arguing over the least important parts of the story isn't that. I personally plan to put a lot of thought into this. Not just this decision, but the future of the league, and the future of my involvement in it as well. This event changed the league and I don't know what we've changed into yet. And I have to help decide that.If you really want a part and really want OUR league to go the right way (whatever that may be for you), then the path forward needs to be better than the gossipy trash that has been the majority of this 8 pages that preceded it. While we're still trying to work on player money. Team contracts. Parity. How to handle the upcoming large class. Trying to fill jobs around the league. And also actually play the game we're here for. ![]() (01-26-2020, 05:13 AM)AdamS Wrote:8 pages later I'd like to help Manic a bit here because I'm sure hes reading through these messages and wanting to smack a few people.Stop being fucking rational and making good points Adam you fuck, this is the NSFL!
Ok so I’ve been really outspoken about this and I wanted her fired from being commissioner but after thinking it over and reading Adams response he got me thinking that she probably should stay. By default she should remain commissioner because I don’t see anyone else stepping up. As I use my phone to do these leagues I definitely can’t not I doubt would I be approved for it so I can’t even say I’d try it. It seems the league is in broken pieces and and in order to move forward we have to have someone in the role.
I can tell she does care about the league as a whole, that said every decision moving forward will be looked at hard and under scrutiny from members as it should be. I’m sure Bex is a great person. Unfortunately decisions was made that puts her in a very bad light in a lot of people’s eyes. The shit talking wasn’t what got me, even though my team was involved and it pissed me off in the beginning, but the hate towards a certain team and certain guys did especially from the commissioner. @bex I’m sure you are great person and never meant for any of this. I hate that a fake league has gotten you so upset that it pained you. I never wish that on anyone here. You’ve took this role to help us all move forward so thank you. Unfortunately we make our own beds and have to lay in them and this has messed yours up. I hope you nothing but the best and hope you can prove yourself again as you’ve done good things here. So by default alone I’d recommend you staying on but maybe with restrictions of some sort. To that point I have been in contact with several potential people who could be in a position to take over and whom have a respect level and skill I feel would make the choice appropriate. Including considering whether I should offer to do so myself. If I eventually decide to remove a Commissioner I better damn well be ready for what comes next.
