During the charity drive, the Norfolk Seawolves auctioned off a Norfolk Locker Room Guest Pass :GuestPass:. We were surprised to see the bidding jump out with a hot start, and the winning bid was 35 dollars! (who knew someone would pay that much to get into Norfolk lol). The lucky winner was @Matty7478! He's such a great guy and one of my favorite non-teammates in the whole league. We talk a lot about anime and irl stuff so he's really become a great friend. I don't remember how exactly it started, but he's also become my own personal nitro butler. I do not have Nitro, but as my own personal joke I still use emojis that aren't in Norfolk, like :kermitlaugh: or :kermitshock:. It makes me laugh even if other people might not know these emojis. However, this is where Matty comes in! He's been friendly enough to quote my nitro emoji's and "translate" for me. As such, he has a special Nitro role in our locker room so that whenever I urgently need an emoji I can ping him! He always comes running enthusiastically to quote me, and it's become quite a fun little game that we play. The funniest part is even at times when he may not be around right away to quote me, he always reads through and makes sure to catch up later when he can. It's created a really fun dynamic between us and we always get laughs out of it from our players. ty Matty :kermitlove:. The things that happened to my player that some might not know about is probably the fact that when it comes to the big games, my paeyr is the key to his teams success. From the start he showed that he was a clutch paleyr who would be willing and able to step on the field at the end of a game to put a game winner between the uprights. In his first season he kicked a GW FG with time expiring at th end of the game to secure a title for the Grey Ducks, and then in his next season he did the same, although this was not at the end of the game but in the first quarter. Two seasons ago it was naners kick at the end of the game that was there to secure the title for the Yeti afte the improbably come back. Of the three titles that I have to this pint, 2 of then were won on my foot as time expires, which is a really cool result to have. Despite this I have never been a great punter which is strange since all kickers and punters are the same. I did win a punter of the year award, but that was a season where no one really punted well, not that I specifically punted well.

Here in Minnesota, us Grey Ducks felt like we were coming off of one of the best drafts ever. Our team was looking stacked, our 1/2 running back punch was actually disgusting, our defense was stacking up very nicely, we really thought that we had a chance to be the best team in the league, and chase that elusive undefeated season. No one in the locker room could remember if anyone HAD ever gone undefeated in the DSFL, but dammit if they hadn’t we were determined to be the first. Then week one rolls around, and we’re seeing the London Royals. I team we dismantled in the preseason. And yes I know preseason doesn’t mean anything, but we still dismantled them. We thought they’d be a walk in the park and we were gonna get our season off to a good start. What happened next? We lost. Just like trivia, we were reduced to atoms. Our egos crushed! We were down 3 scores early, but managed to scrape back and only lose 24-21. Its a shame that we started the season in the L column, but our running game was fire (as always) and we fought back in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th quarter. Our goal now? 13-1. We want the ring and anything less is a sad season.

One of the best short stories from this league may be the recent draft in which 3 straight picks were all grey ducks, but not just that, all of them were in the discord voice chat! It started off so normal. The Everyone tag was sent to see who wanted to watch the draft or just react via voice chat. I joined, so did Rashad Hillard and a few others (TheCC, fsf I think).  Then the draft started, of course, I was not a round one draftee. That would be ridiculous. The draft was going, and so were the players. We started thinking when someone was gonna go, joking around saying that we would all be Mr. Irrelevant. Then we started to get worried, round 3 approached and none of us were taken I think. The third round started going down, and then this is where it got interesting, I was picked with the first pick of the 4th round. Then Rashad, then another, and it was all a lot of fun. It provided some great moments besides the draft that is only for the grey ducks locker room, but besides that part that's I'm pretty sure how the story goes. So thank you for your sweet, amazing time.

Growing up in Oklahoma, Myles was always told to keep his head down and stay quiet; he was told to not stir the pot too much. Even though he was the nephew of the great Hall-of-Fame NFL running back Emmitt Smith, his family still lived on the outskirts of Oklahoma City, with Myles trying to make a name for himself more on the field than off it, since that was his only chance out of there. Of course, people had said things, but Myles always took Mama's advice to heart, since he had been preached it since he was a kid. But now that he was finally in the ISFL, things could change. He used his first paycheck to help buy his mom a new house in the heart of The Big Friendly, set up his brother for college, and finally, let himself live a little by buying some champagne. After seeing the hardships and struggles of everyone at his church, he donated the rest to it, helping refurbish some of the pews and going to the store with Pastor Charlie to purchase the new Bibles for everyone. Myles Smith is a helper. And he wants to help the Baltimore Hawks and Portland Pythons win.

Anyone who looks back on Jed Podolak’s college days can see that he had a stellar career at Futon College which culminated with him wracking up 1619 yards on 258 carries for a 6.3 yard per carry average and 19 TDs.  This was back in the days before Podolak converted to WR to help out his one-time team, the New Orleans Second Line.

What people usually forget in the midst of such a great season, is that he put up these numbers in spite of an absolute terrible game against rival Mid-American University.  That game was doomed from the beginning.  Jed had just learned of the tragic death of a childhood friend and his mind was far from the action on the field.  Sometimes you rise above such things and go out and “win one for the gipper”.  Sometimes the world just crashes down on you.

On his very first touch of the game, a very routine dive right, Podolak got crossed up with his QB, the handoff was a mess and he fumbled the ball away.  His only fumble of the season.  But it just went from bad to worse.  Easy tosses dropped in the flat with daylight all the way to the goal line.  Missed assignments resulting in the sack of the QB.  Missed opportunities on running plays.

Jed’s line for that day?  32 yards on 20 attempts, 3 passes caught for a total of 8 yards and the disastrous fumble to start the game.

I am going to give you a little insight to some of my (Jeeeeroy Lenkins) many pre-game rituals and game-day traditions.

The night before every game of the pre, regular, and post season, I watch the longest yard for away games, I like to envision myself as one of the convicts an underdog as such) and if I am playing at home I watch remember the titans because it motivates me to keep grinding and highlights what can be done if everyone in the team is on the same page!

Before going to bed I need to be wearing the opposing teams jersey and it must have the name and number of their number one receiver on the back. This is not the cheapest of rituals but man it gets me pumped and in the mindset to lockdown my opponent.

Then in the morning once I have woken up I put the jersey on a target forty four yards away and fire forty four of Buster "Boulder" Bawls stones/rocks/pebbles and fire them from my catapult. Naturally this causes Buster to get mad and normally results in me taking a pounding but man does it get the adrenaline flowing! I know after this no receiver, tight end or back stands a chance as they cannot hit anywhere near as hard as that man.
