Posting private IPs in a public place is a big fat no-no. Punishment may seem harsh, but it’s because of the issues that can result from it. Sucks but, it makes sense.

Maybe if it stayed up I would understand but it existed for 10 seconds
2 seasons mod fine is prob a little overkill considering he took it down about as soon as I told him he shouldn't have had it up. I can provide timed screenshots for an appeal that would show the genuine nature of the entire scenario (with butters permission) which I hope would provide some leeway on the punishment. For a new guy this absolutely could lead to him going inactive (which I hope is not the case) because it will remove his ability to talk with guys from his class in their rookie discord as well as earning him job pay.

I’m just trying to stay alive here
It's amazing to me he thought it was any kind of good idea in the first place. I mean in this day in age posting someone's IP for any amount of time could be potentially dangerous for the other party as there's always people to quick screenshot anything at any time. Kind of crazy to think about tbh

i've been punished for the same reason before. intent or not there's still consequences, and for all we know said person could've easily been doxxed in those ten seconds.
on a side note @[adwyer] is there any way to disable IP addresses being viewable to people with mod perms? |
