It's not as if Garden came in on a $2m contract. I'm sure it wasn't an easy decision knowing how the rest of the league would react either, but honestly, if players are actively avoiding teams because they win too often, that's not a far stretch from collusion.

I think he wanted to encourage teams to BID and for players to seek good deals rather than the majority of the league taking cheap deals.
