The RFA tag is meant to simulate the NFL, but the difference is the NFL is a job. We do things we don't want to do in a job because we have to. This is a hobby that people do for fun. Obviously, we have to create rules that keep things fair and encourage parity, but beyond that, enjoyment of the players should always be the top priority when it doesn't interfere with fairness./parity If someone is ready to move to a new team, it's better to let them move than risk the possibility of them getting discouraged and becoming inactive because they're not enjoying themselves.
Obviously, the likelihood of any one person becoming inactive depends on that person, but I can see RFA definitely having a buzzkill effect in the long run. Better to nip it in the bud.
