Some drama that has not been mentioned, but is in full swing, especially right now on the six week road trip involves none other than Quarterback Chris Orosz. The First two games of the season, Yellowknife was at home, and Orosz posted a combined QB Rating of nearly 110. On the road the following two weeks, his combined QB rating plummeted down to right around 60. Could the reason be somebody forgot his “Vitamins” back in Yellowknife. After taking a team friendly contract of only 500k a year for three years, it has been a very rough time finding replacement “vitamins” on the road, especially when you’re going to such hostile grounds as the Wraiths have been. There has been quiet mumblings in the locker room about what might happen the next four weeks on the road. It seems like a lot of the locker room is trying to conceal their nervousness about the next four road games in a row. It is said that Orosz is trying to get ahold of somebody in Yellowknife to get his “Vitamins” to him on the road, but it is very hard considering the blizzard that just tore through there. Only time will tell what is going to happen with Orosz and the Wraiths Offense.

Well I wouldn't exactly call it a "famous" rivalry, but the rookie competition is heating up in Baltimore. With the Hawks starting so many rookies, there are always going to be people who fight harder than others. Two rookies that have shown to be tough as nails against each other are James Wright and Darlane Farlane. Farlane has shown to be a great running back from the jump. Being one of the best backs in the entire league. Wright on the other hand was a preseason warrior, racking up amazing numbers during that time. When the season started he has put himself under immense stress and pressure to perform well that it is affecting his play on the field. Because of this lack of performance he is taking it out on Farlane in their drills. They are both battling everyday to get better and nothing creates a better player than tough competition. Farlane and Wright understand that in order to make steel, they have to be forged through the fire. So in the end, they are both fighting for the same goal, to get the Hawks to the playoffs, but during practice, there is nothing held back and everyone is fighting for a job.

One of the biggest dramas of the NSFL is quite obvious. The Orange County Otters QB situation in the first season of the NSFL. They drafted a whopping 3 QBs hoping that at least one of them would be willing to switch to a different position. In the end, no one wanted to switch and they had three QBs battling it out for the starting position, while the other two would sit on the bench.
They drafted Mike Boss, Josh Bercevici and also Ethan Hunt. Now many know that Mike Boss eventually became the starting QB for the remainder of the season but with some growing pains. Mike Boss, the starting QB. At the end of the season he had the most Interceptions thrown in the entire league. He still holds the record till this day. Mike Boss had many struggles so they decided to start the other QB, Josh Bercevici. Now he had some mediocre games and eventually lost the job back to Mike Boss, who went into the Conference Championship Game and LOSING by throwing more interceptions to the Arizona Outlaws. Bercevici was mad and was extremely happy when he was able to go to a different team, not named the Otters. Ethan Hunt was irrelevant. [div align=center]

One piece of drama that hits home for me is the Ethan Hunt saga that emerged seemingly out of nowhere after we (San Jose) were eliminated from playoff contention in S1. Hunt made it pretty clear to basically anyone who would listen that he had no interest in re-signing after his contract ended. Only problem there was that he forgot he still had a full season remaining on his current deal. After that was brought to his attention, he quickly pivoted his plan & asked to be left exposed for the expansion draft. Once again, his plan was foiled because we weren't gonna be bullied into moving someone who was still our best option at QB & he wouldn't dare give anything short of his very best, even if he was just auditioning for the other 7 teams.
Hunt's gotten off to a hot start for the Cats in S2 & recent reports have him potentially reconsidering a potential contract extension with San Jose. Guess we'll have to wait & see how this pans out for both sides. ![]() ![]()
The Second half of the Matt James trade went practically unnoticed and provided Philadelphia with a second problem. The sign and trade of Jazzy J from the Wraiths to the Liberty will go down in history as the first female to sign a contract and play in the NSFL, but what problems does this bring to the Liberty?
Well, I think most of us are fine with the fact that a female can play at the same level as men, but there are others who do not feel this way. Will there be tension in the locker room? does she need a separate locker room to change and get ready? I don't think our league can handle a co-ed locker room without the media go crazy over some minuscule irrelevant detail. Are there amenities that need to be updated to allow for her to work a normal day? Do other teams also have to update their stadiums to meet regulations? what happens if there becomes a relationship between teammates or players in the league. yes, I know a man and another man can elope, but this would become a more common issue. The league will definitely learn a lot from this situation, whether it turns out good or bad. Lets pray that it is the former. (213 words) ![]() ![]()

This incident happened during Week 3 of the second season of the NSFL. It was on the night of the showdown between the Yeti and the Wraiths in Colorado. The Yeti ended the Wraiths' undefeated season and held their high powered offense to just 3 points. However the drama surrounding this game happened the night before. At 3:30 A.M. the night before the game, somebody pulled the fire alarm in the hotel that the Wraiths were staying in. All of the Wraiths' players had to get out of bed and wait outside of the hotel for half an hour until they were cleared to go back in. The Wraiths used this late night disturbance as an excuse for their poor play against the Yeti the next day. However, the person who pulled the fire alarm was never caught. One eyewitness described the culprit as looking like Yeti running back Boss Tweed except he had a mustache, although the mustache appeared to be fake. The culprit was fast and ran away before anybody could get a more exact look at him. Regardless of the cause of this incident, it appears to have added more bad blood to an already intense rivalry.
