As the General Manager of the worst team in the NSFL, the Colorado Yeti, I sure do have a lot to be frustrated about. The team is horrible, and there has been recent dissension brewing in the Locker Room. The most vocal example of a player is Tight End Carlito Crush. He went on a rant against the Yeti, bashing everyone from General Manager Meme Maestro to Quarterback Nicholas Pierno. He even called for a coup of Maestro led by Co-General Manager Matthew Vincent. This is all caused by the fact that the Colorado Yeti simply aren't winning football games. The Yeti currently lie as the worst team in the league by record with no wins so far in 7 attempts. Winning kills all conflict, but the other way around holds true as well. Losing creates conflict, and it is no surprise that the Yeti are being labeled a "dumpster fire" by some analysts. However, after years of being a laughingstock, Colorado believes they have a move in the making to become great. Season 7 may be their last chance at being competitive with their current core including Saint, Tweed, Hackett and more. Colorado says they have change coming, and they better see massive improvements soon.

Alexandre LeClair does not have much in his life that he is frustrated about. After all, he did spend a few horrible seasons on the now defunct, Las Vegas Legion so everything is a lot better on this side of the fence. There are however several minor inconveniences that LeClair’s experienced. The most notable one was during the Baltimore Hawk’s rough loss against the Yellowknife Wraiths. LeClair only had 1 reception for 8 yards in a game that had the Hawks play completely out of their usual playbook. We still don’t know what the coaches were thinking when they pulled this move but the entire team seemed lost, including QB Avon Blocksdale who only completed half his pass attempts. The loss was so bad that media and coaches were locked out of the locker room post-game by the players, as they held a closed doors discussion.

Perhaps even more frustrating was the 24-21 loss to the Arizona Outlaws, at home the following week. It was a close game all throughout the 4 quarters but the Hawks defense really dropped the ball with 5 minutes left to the game and a 17-21 lead. All they had to do was stop the Outlaws but a 1yd run by Mackworthy sealed the deal. This will potentially hit us hard down the stretch when playoffs races are coming to a close.
Two weeks later, the Hawks beat the Otters so what would I know about frustration?

The season isn't going as planned, whether it's struggling teams, struggling players, or just the locker room falling apart, multiple teams are facing tough situations. Write about one of these situations, it does not have to be about your team, it can be on whatever topic that is NSFL related.

Prior to Week 8's game, the Yellowknife Wraiths were languishing near the bottom of the NSFC with an embarrasing 2-4-1 record, something you'd see from a rebuilding team with less actives than the Seawolves, not the defending consecutive NSFC champions. Their offense looks anemic with Akselsen at the helm and many have already called for him to be benched and P Holder to get the nod ahead of monday night's game with defending Ultimus champions, Orange County. Their defense is abysmal with Lavelle at the helm who over a span for 7 entire games ONLY has 3 pass deflections and a fumble forced and recovery to his name. Not the sort of numbers you want from a leader on the defensive side of the ball.

Don't even get me started on their horrendous special teams performances throughout the year who do their best to mimic the defensive capabilities of a single ply piece of wet toilet paper.

The coaching set up in Yellowknife is second to none, yet their HC Spike Crown is having a season representative of Chip Kelly's run with the Philadelphia Eagles , except Spike isn't trading off anybody that's black...atleast I hope he isn't. Only time will tell to be honest.

This season has been a massive failure for the Otters. With 2 consecutive losses, the team might as well forfeit and fold the franchise out of pure humiliation. Molarpistols has seemingly lost all control of the locker room and one of the players, Marc Spector, built a statue named Jobu and offers sacrifices to it in hopes it helps his game. Mike Boss has torn off his sleeves and can't throw the ball straight. Co-GM Westfield thinks he might need glasses. In order to brighten up spirits, the coach has brought out a cardboard cut out of a sexy bikini model wearing a bunch of clothes, and every time the team scored a TD, they remove a section of the clothing. It's an effort to get them fired up. Every time Angus Wichester records a sack, he nails a glove to the wall. The color commentator for the team, Harry Doyle, has begun talking about tanking and the team owner selling the franchise to an entrepreneur out of Miami. But there's still a lot of season left. Maybe old man Phelps can still get some magic out of those old bones of his and stave off retirement for another season. With a little luck, and loyalty from their fans, they can right this ship and make this lackluster and decrepit franchise into a winning one. Maybe even get to the World Series.... er... Ultimus Cup.

I'm a cornerback in the NSFL. What don't I have to be frustrated about?

The league's rules clearly favour the passing game. Have you seen the number of ridiculous defensive pass interference penalties that get called? I'm lucky enough to not get many flags against me, but it doesn't mean I don't have other things to be concerned about. My lack of penalty flags is probably because I'm trying not to get flagged, and probably being overly careful ... which in turn means I give up catches I really shouldn't have to. But that's the reality of the situation in the NSFL. My options are basically either risk giving up huge penalties or allow catches and make the tackle after the fact. I go for the latter.

Award voting for both defensive player of the year and defensive back of the year is heavily biased against cornerbacks, too. The overvaluation of tackling and sacks leads to linebackers leading the charge for defensive player of the year, while safeties are usually overwhelming favourites for defensive back of the year no matter how well a cornerback performs (which usually isn't great anyway, given the flag thing)

And that's just scratching the surface.

Playing a corner back position in this league creates a lot of frustrating situations. Especially being a younger player in a league with top tier wide receivers. One of the biggest most frustrating problems is missed tackles. Letting a receiver catch a ball is frustrating itself but when you add the fact that they can easily prevent a clean tackle and run for an additional 10-20 yards things get extremely frustrating very quickly. It's a tough situation to deal with and just one you kind of have to accept. Celebrate all the small victories and move on from all the defeats. Of course doing the point tasks and training helps to increase your Tpe and chances of success. However no matter how much tpe you have and no matter how good of a corner back you are the odds are stacked against you. It seems the way the Sim works corner backs are just naturally at a disadvantage. Wide receivers seem to always have the upper leg. One thing that makes all the difference though is when you have that defining moment. Whether its getting that clean tackle on 4th down. Or that crucial pass deflection, or even the big one getting a pick six when your team is behind. These all help overcome the frustrations of playing a corner back

Avon Blocksdale has had an incredibly frustrating career as a Quarterback. He is the highest TPE QB in the league. He has an awesome pair of receivers and an incredible running back. And yet, in spite of all of that, Avon remains a great but not TOP TOP notch QB. Last year he was awesome with the best TD to INT ratio, but he has yet to lead the league in passing yards. Avon wants to lead the Hawks to the Ultimus, but thus far he has been unable to do so. He is certainly a pro bowler and has not had problems making the Pro Bowl as a QB (he has made it in both years and looks to easily make it this third year). The problem is that Mike Boss has consistently out performed Avon in spite of slightly less TPE. Boss does have Bradely Westfield and Robert Phelps (two incredible receivers) and that certainly helps, but Avon wants to come in and beat Boss. At some point soon Boss will face regress and Avon may be able to take over as the best Quarterback in the NSFL. Avon is hoping that day will come sooner rather than later. The frustrations are mounting but Avon is not going to get discouraged. 213

I've got to say that I am frustrated with my own personal performance. I have been practicing and practicing and practicing and it seems that I have a ways to go still. I see myself in the likes of elite receivers, with tremendous skill with route running abilities but I haven't lived up to it yet. Why? Drops.

I am frustrated with my drop rate and that is what I am going to work tirelessly on from here on out. I am letting myself down, but moreso my team and quarter backs down with each drop. Tonight is a big game, we need to win, more than that, we need to dominate and show the DSFL why we are the top team in the league.

The past two weeks I came through pretty well. Three tds between the two games. It felt great for us to dominate the Seawolves in week six. A two touchdown game? That's what I want to be, that's who I feel that I am, and I want to be that every week.

It was crushing the next week against the Coyotes, those guys are seriously good. I remember a few key drops as well but as a whole the entire game was frustrating. This week is going to be different, I feel it.

The Wraiths traded a high draft pick for me and so far I am not performing up to the standard that I expect of myself and it is having an impact on the team as a whole. The Wraiths are clearly not performing up to the play off caliber team that they should be and thus far in the season they might miss out completely.

Now you know what they say in the big leagues, if you are not cheating than you are not trying. This is the culture Jayce Tuck hopes to bring to the Yellowknife organization to help get them to the top of the mountain. The defense has not been carrying the team to wins like Jayce expects, so he has been slowly getting everyone on the team addicted to cocaine. Before every game Dermot Lavelle, Fuego Wozy, and Jayce Tuck utilize “Gatorade’s new powder power” to get into the zone.

The offense has also been struggling mightily so when Jayce is not on the field he is keeping a signal disruptor handy to screw up the communication of the opposing defense. Mat Akselsen has been struggling mightily, so his cologne bottle may be over 70% testosterone spray.

And we won’t even go into details about Jayce’s special Adderall protein Brownie recipe that is popular at the Wraith’s film sessions. Hopefully this is enough to get the team out of this slump…otherwise things might have to go even further.
