[div align=\\\"center\\\"]In all my time in sim leagues, I've been a very steady one-team player. In the SHL, although I spent much of my early years being traded around, I made my debut with the San Francisco Pride and haven't left the team since. In PBE, both of my players were signed by the Death Valley Scorpions and I never looked back. GOMHL, I joined the Montreal Royals as a favor to their GM and even though that GM is now long gone, I'm still on that team fighting to get our first playoff berth. So it's apparent that I've spent all my time here in the NSFL with the Orange County Otters.
I was drafted to this team in S1 after I frantically messaged the GM and since then I've done my bit to help build a dynasty that ruled over the league for years. Over the span of two players, I have never even touched another jersey. Not the least of which because the last time I went through free agency, everyone who called was asking about me playing CB. Now, as a WR planning to stay as one, this season is a very different story. Most of the excitement has happened over just the past 24 hours and I'd like to take you guys down a list of teams who I talked to and why they weren't right for me.
Baltimore Hawks
Y'all didn't even call, so this is all you get:
![[Image: chloeflipbird.gif]](https://image.ibb.co/iGcEen/chloeflipbird.gif)
You've got Asipi too, so that'd be a no from me anyway.
New Orleans Second Line
I absolutely love @bovovovo and all of his works. I am a blatant Bovosexual and would love to doot doot all day long with his Band of Doot Doots. But unfortunately, he's got a great team already with him after winning the Ultimus. And even worse, there's no room for me. So that ended everything for NOLA before it really got started.
Colorado Yeti
I think the Yeti got put into some bad circumstances in this situation. Not only were they late to the party, but they also argued a few points that weren't even up for contention with me. I like a lot of the people on the Yeti, especially good ol' Haruki Ishigawa, but it just wasn't meant to be. At least Sapp remembered my render's name. Or at least my old render.
Philadelphia Liberty
Also late to the party was Philly. They were actually a bit interesting to me because they have a ton of draft picks and by joining them, I could potentially help build another dynasty with a new QB. But if I wanted to build a dynasty with a young QB, I could just stay in OC and do that. So that was about the limits of my conversation with the Liberty.
San Jose Sabercats
Here's where we get into a bit of the deep stuff. One of the first teams to contact me were the Sabercats last night. They were extremely interested in bringing me in and had a WR1 spot open for me right away. One of my big issues was the LR. I don't know anyone there. That's a big thing for me, because I like to be around people I know and like, people I'm comfortable with. So if I can't even recognize who the GM is, then that may be an issue. In the end, even though he kept pushing and offering more money, I had to turn him down.
Arizona Outlaws
I'm using a lot of imagery from Life is Strange recently and if this final decision is like that game's final decision, the decision for whether or not to even consider these guys is like deciding how to say goodbye to Warren. Do I tell them to fuck off? Do I continue leading them on, knowing I'm going to sign for someone else? Or do I just play it straight and tell them why I don't think I'll ever play for them?
At literally a minute after Free Agency opened, @run_CMC sent me a PM which basically read like a real free agency packet. Super professional, I felt like he was sitting me down and giving me a PowerPoint presentation on "Why Arizona is Right For You". Everything was pretty much there, honestly. They had cash to spend, people I liked, and a free spot at WR1. The problem was about the history between the Otters and the Outlaws.
You guys know me, I like creating characters and trying to make them consistent. I like making players who feel like real people when I give them voice. I also like to give them morals so that it makes it a bit easier on me when I have moral decisions to go through. I just felt... Isn't going straight from your team that you've played your whole career for to their bitter rivals inherently evil? Like, there's been bad blood between the Otters and the Outlaws for a while and while many of it has washed away, the history of it is still there. I remember freaking out when people were suggesting that I'd be drafted by them when Tegan went through the draft!
Run. I love you. But you're just not the one for me.

The Final Decision
![[Image: kWTyvWH.jpg]](https://i.imgur.com/kWTyvWH.jpg)
How do I explain why this choice is so difficult for me? I guess I'll put it this way: I like loyalty. And I'm not just loyal to groups of people, I'm also loyal to individual people. I live by the Chicago Fire's three tenants of "Tradition, Honor, Passion" (even if they don't).
I don't quite remember when I started PMing @Bzerkap for advice, it just sort of happened. I was a DSFL GM at the time and getting talked about for all the wrong reasons. I was going through really bad depression and huge amounts of loneliness, but he was a major friend to me. He gave feedback on my music, even though he didn't really know how to. He was cheaper than a therapist (although only 65% as effective) and has been a friend to me this whole time, even though I've never been on the same team as him. A couple seasons ago when I was trying to go into Free Agency the first time, I warned MP that if he put in a good enough offer, I was out of here. I wanted to do at least a little bit to give back for what he'd done for me. Unfortunately, he didn't have the budget for it and I stayed in OC.
About OC. That last article I wrote? That was all smoke and mirrors. Do you really think I care about whether or not I'm a number one wide receiver? No! That was bait to see how many teams would contact me. Teams who came to me with that and money as the main part of their pitch just didn't understand me. As I said, I am loyal to my team. I firmly believe in the plan that TC has put into place. But still, there's something else.
I've played so long in just one place. I have spent more than a full real life year with this team. That's better than some marriages. While I would love to continue to play with the Otters without even a thought of another team, I don't know if I can. I want to see the different options out there for myself. I like having sigs made for myself and I guess what better way is there to do that than to go to a different team? I always like to think of my players as journey(wo)men, but they always stay in the same place. They never really change. Even if I'm not writing anything interesting, I'd at least like to make my head canon fun.
So before I officially announce my decision, here's my Open Letter to @speculadora, @RedCydranth, @Molarpistols and @timeconsumer:

This team was my first love. I've always done whatever was required of me. The whole reason why Tegan is even playing is because I saw that we had a need and I filled it. Then you guys returned the favor later on by trusting me to change my position to one we didn't really need and allowing me to just be who I wanted to be. I hope that you will continue to trust me in the future.
And Marlene Aurlane?
