Westfield's illegal TPE dumping?  Showbiz's illegal extension?

If you think we didn't take those situations seriously than you don't know what you're talking about. Just because there was never a punishment handed out does not mean we just ignored it.

I can explain this one, short 2 second version, although no one seems to notice it, Graphic submissions are uncapped, so while a week may work normally, you just save 4 and submit 8 next week...granted there's still a way around this...

If there's nothing stopping him getting paid for any gfx he makes (because he could presumably just submit them next season) ... why even bother with a ban at all?

"Illegal" when Brown was given two warnings for double claiming TPE before being punished. "Illegal" when I asked HO before I did anything about it because the precedent and the rulebook don't line up.

You have some distorted notion that we aren't punished for things, but the only real "offense" (Westfield botching his regression), deserved, based on punishments we've seen, a warning.

I am a very quiet person who just tries to do things for this league and have fun. I made a mistake, there is honor in admitting it. But that's all it was, a mistake, I wasn't out here trying to gain an advantage over anyone on purpose. But if it keeps getting brought up in these situations it will feel like a lot less fun and I wont have any reason to stay. I retired Westfield when I found out that I unknowingly broke the rules (which was approved by an updater) and then I waited an offseason to recreate. If you think that I need a harsher punishment than having to retire a player I put over a year into building and just walking away from him. You can just let me know what that is. I'll be waiting for your response.

At no point in any of the campaigning that I did to get you punished (yes, I did actively campaign for it) did I accuse you of cheating. Cheating is intentional. But you did do something you weren't allowed to do, and your player (and team, by extension) was better as a result.

The penalty I proposed, and have continued to propose is "illegal gain removed+50% penalty." This is the exact same punishment we use on salary cap violations, which is another instance of common, understandable mistake that unintentionally results in an unfair advantage.

The rulebook DOES state when extensions may be made.

"Players may extend their contract if they are in the ?nal year of their current contract. A player may NOT extend their contract at any other point. "

Since Molar had already accepted the new contract, he was no longer in the final year of his contract, and therefore not eligible for an extension. This new extension was, therefore, an illegal way of saving 1m in S14, and should result in a 1.5 million dollar cap penalty in S15. Now, if, as you say, HO approved the action prior to you doing it, then obviously you should not be penalized, but that final contract year should be voided.

And @DeathOnReddit, you can say you took it seriously, but it didn't even warrant an announcement.

Your team has twice broken the rules in recent history, was allowed to keep the benefit of that rule-breaking, and received no punishment.

Well I appreciate that you didn't accuse me of cheating. I understand your campaign to get me punished. It makes sense. The punishment you propose is also fair. Mistakes definitely do result in unfair advantage sometimes and small punishments should be handed out.

The way I interpreted it was that the original contact was allowed to be voided because of a misunderstanding and the new one replaced it. honestly it's a stupid fucking thing to allow in general because you can really abuse the 3 year extension ability to sign rookies for one season then immediately extend them for 3 more at the minimum, but I asked and it was allowed so I did it.
