Chris' rivals consist of all the people who doubted that a QB from Navy could function in a pro offense, of all the people who said, "Who is he, why does he want to be a QB?" of all the people who doubt the offense that he leads. Chris carries a chip on his shoulder the size of @`BenLongshaw` and as we all know, this is a hefty chip indeed! There are personal rivalries interspersed within this all encompassing enmity as Leroy Jenkins, Vincent Sharpei, and Wyatt Fulton (@Jiggly_333, @Muford, @`incitehysteria` respectively) but that is only a small kernel off the entire cob that is the NEED for Orosz to prove himself to the world.
When Drafted by the Yellowknife Wraiths, Chris thought he had put to bed all of the doubters, but even there, he had to fight to prove himself in a Position battle with the Talented LeClair (@Zoone16) and then fight through middling stats plus battles with the demon known as turnovers. He is still battling, the most recent setback being a sub 100 yard game vs the Otters, but if anything, Chris is very resilient and will bounce back with a strong back end to the season.

Honestly, I don't really know who my rival is. Being as I am a late pick, I think that my rival would be somebody like Ian Bavitz just because he was taken in front of me in a spot where I definitely feel I was better than any remaining LBs. We played his team once and we won, if I'm not mistaken, but I think we won that game. It was definitely a testament to my team as a whole, but I can't stand the fact that people thought he was better than me. I think that I'm a better player, but I still respect him. I realize that as far as pass rushing goes, he is a far superior player and I respect that. But I'm more of an impact on special teams and I play sideline to sideline not just north to south.I really think that I am the most valuable LB in the league because I simply make plays for my defense. The MLB is like the quarterback of the defense and we've been a damn good defense, which makes me one of the best quarterbacks in the league. I don't really know why Bavitz gives me fuel, but he makes me want to win every game out there.

With an offensive line pool as thin as the NSFL had coming into its inaugural season, the competition between guys was ramped up significantly. While you might think that the excess of spots and the lack of players to fill them would mean you wouldn't have to worry about not getting pick, you'd be forgetting that everybody wants to be the guy to go first. I sure as hell wasn't only focused on making a team -- I wanted to the first guy to make a team.

Leading up to the draft, there were two favourites from the offensive linemen to get picked first out of the group: myself, and Angus Winchester. While I have nothing but respect for the man, the fact that people were putting him higher than me -- in the highest spot there was -- on their boards, meant that he naturally became the guy I had to beat. And I did. When the draft finally came around, my name was just the 16th called on the day, and the first on any offensive lineman. Winchester was selected at #25. I'd done it -- I'd won.

But that was only the first battle of many to come, and certainly the least important. What matters is how you perform at the top level, and at the moment there is nobody performing better than Winchester. And while he's on top of the pack, I'm about halfway down. So I've got a lot of climbing to do. But as long as my rival is ahead of me, climbing, progressing, improving, and dominating are all that I'll be looking to do. And one day, I'll be back on top. It's just the way it's got to be.

The rival of professional national simulation football league quarter back named Joshua Aaron Bercovici hailing from the glorious state of Arizona in the greatest country in the world is none other than Vincent Maximus Draxel, also a professional national simultion football league queer back, hailing from the back woods hillbilly shitbole of South Carolina, where taking cock is the norm and expected amongst relatives, which explains a lot about Vincent, if you ask Joshua Aaron Berocivi.

These two gentleman hate each other. They've been involved in on field and off field altercations, and the bad blood runs deep. Currently Draxel helms the stern for the Arizona Outlaws, kind of ironic given its Bercovici home state, while Bercovici is sternless over in Gayfornia with the Orange County Choppers- I mean Otters. After one subpar performance Berocivi was benched for Michael Angelo Boss, and is now third string for no good reason, so the rivalry between Vincent Maximus Draxel and Joshua Aaron Bercovici is pretty boring right now.

Hopefully a team will need a quarterback next season and we get to see Draxel vs Bercovici become the NSFLs version of Thomas Brady vs Peyton Manning, with Berc playing the obvious role of Brady. For now, though, Bercovici is left with just throwing shade from the bench.

Alex Hayden has one primary rival. Phillipe Carter, fellow Yeti cornerback. Alex considers Phillipe to be his direct competition on the team. During the inaugural draft, Carter was selected third overall, while Hayden was selected twenty seventh overall. This bit of discrepancy has left Alex with a small chip on his shoulder. He pushes himself to try to match, or outperform Carter in everything they do.

During practice, Alex always compares himself to Phillipe. They frequently go head to head during drills. While Hayden is the better athlete, Carter is the more polished, intelligent player. Carter can read the play faster, and is always where he should be. Hayden uses this friendly rivalry to try to learn from Carter, to make fewer mental and technical errors.

So far, the season 1 advantage goes to Hayden, in terms of statistics. Alex has 30 tackles, 1 for a loss, 1 forced fumble, 4 interceptions, and 14 pass deflections. Carter, on the other hand, has 27, 0, 0, 1, and 3, respectively. There are a still a few games left in the season, but it seems unlikely that this will shift significantly before the end. Hopefully, this competition will lead to both players becoming better, and turn them into a fierce cornerback pair for many seasons to come.

Rivals? I wouldn’t know nothing about that.

The funny thing about rivalries is, just like grudges, they require active thought about a person that is not you. Which leaves me in a bit of a pickle -- because that’s just not in the cards. I don’t care which eleven players are lined up in front of me, regardless of who they are, my job is my job. Of course, as you can tell from the phrasing of the prior sentence, there’s also the less egotistical problem that linebackers don’t really have specific offensive counterparts. Corners and receivers have each other, so to do defensive and offensive lineman. But for a zone-oriented off-ball linebacker, there just isn’t anyone to pinpoint as a natural, positional rival. And without other people bringing my name into stuff –I’ve been mentioned in maybe one article the entire year – I won’t really find myself in any true rivalries.

I will say that I have a few friendly rivalries with teammates. My main function in the defense isn’t to stop the run but, that said, when you have the best running back in the league on your team, there’s some measure of pleasure in bringing him down. And I have to mention Alex, there’s yet to be a game where I haven’t, at least in the back of my mind, aimed to out-tackle him. Oh yeah, I also have a long-running beef with weight-related contract incentives, but that’s a story for another day.

DJ Laws biggest rival?

DJ Law currently sits at 10th ranked receiver spot, which is nothing to be upset about. Although DJ Law, and many of his other critics know the athletic receiver could be doing much better. Heading into the season DJ Law expected himself to be in the top 3 for receiving yards. After the first couple of games we could quickly tell that was not going to happen. Law who was only average around 3-4 catches a game, and only 40 yards per game had some obvious holes in his game.

DJ Law became his own biggest rival, the mental side of his game started to eat away at him. The one time confident receiver, was no longer cocky, and no longer confident in his skills. Law was plagued with running incorrect routes, and a lot of drops each game. He struggled to motives himself every week, going to the gym was a struggle and taking the field made him a nervous wreck.

Law knew he needed to change something, that is when he hired his cousin who was a star receiver over in the WFL league. Law changed his training technique, and his mental game quickly started to improve. They worked on his hands, and his route running. The past couple of weeks have been DJ Laws best games of the season. It seems that he is starting to fight of his inner demons, but can he keep them away?

The biggest rival for Mike Boss in the NSFL is going to be getting enough cabinet space in his house after he wins several dozen individual awards during the course of his career. He's always been cursed with too many championships or personal accolades and not enough shelf space to display them properly. Boss commented on the situation:

"When you're as successful as I am at such an early age, these sorts of things can really sneak up on you. I've been getting trophies for sports for as far back as I can remember, but I've never been able to keep up with the inventory. You see, when I say I win so much I'm tired of winning, I actually have a case for it. Nonetheless, I fully expect to add a lot more trophies and rings and ribbons and things to my collection by the time my playing days are over. I'm planning now, while I'm young, that way I will have enough time to get the needed space to show everyone how great I am. Sometimes people need a reminder, and honestly, I couldn't be happier to keep reminding everyone. I'm the real deal and there's nothing anyone can do about it. I accept shelf and glass donations."

When Johnathon Saint thinks of rivalries, one name is always consistent, Alexander Selich. Selich was widely regarded as the best linebacker prospect in the draft. Every time a linebacker was scouted, their game was always compared to Selich’s. Even in the pre-draft interviews, one team (the Sabercats) asked every player, not just linebackers, how they compare to Selich. Knowing he could not only play but he could dominate the league, Johnny Saint couldn’t wait for the draft to come. Sitting there with a bucket of Wingstop and a gallon of lemonade, he anxiously waited for his name to be called. One named was called, it wasn’t his. Then another was called, then another, neither name was Johnny Saint. The next name was Alexander Selich and Johnny Saint was livid. He thought he was better, he knew he was better. He believed that Selich was only picked this high because of the pre-draft hype. Talent vs. talent, Johnny believed no one was on his level. He had to hear 54 more names called after Selich before he was finally drafted with the 58th pick by the Colorado Yeti. After getting picked in the 10th round, to say that Johnny Saint is playing with a chip on his shoulder is a massive understatement. Johnathon Saint is looking to prove to the GM’s that he is and always was better than Alexander Selich.
