1) Playoff Predictions, Reviews:
Written: Give a short write up of one or multiple playoff matches. If completed before the airing of the sims, give your predictions; if it is afterwards, give a review of the game.

Okay so somehow the Austin Copperheads LOST to whatever team we lost to. Let me check here real quick: The second line!? I haven't even heard of the second line, and Austin lost to them? Wow, such an unbelievable disappointment for the Snakes after coming off an ultimus win. Without famed GM adamS at the helm, perhaps the copperheads looked just a bit more lost out there than usual. It was a high scoring affair, but the snake defense got mauled by an outstanding running attack. As usual, teams looked to avoid the Copperhead's deadly secondary. Safety Takeda Okura, Awkward Sexjoke and Dermot Lavelle Jr. are a deadly trio. However due to the lack of passing attempts, very few balls were given the chance to be stolen away by one of the three. B. Jones also had a stellar game, averaging 32.5 yards a carry. That's pretty crazy, and should be commended. Overall, it was a great game and both teams should be proud of the well fought battle, even if one of them were championship favorites. The favorites also, let me add, didn't have a patented Easton Cole interception, and still lost! When's the last time that happened? Since Cole first joined the team?

6) With the expansion draft incoming, many teams look to protect their talent. But the team with the most top talent, is easily the Austin Copperheads. Protecting 2/3rds of their valuable secondary, their elite DE Kyle, and their entire offensive trio of Gaines, Cole, and Mako, the snakes look primed for a great season next year. If there's one player being drafted who would hurt them the most, it's easily Takeda Okura, who led the league in forced fumbles, was top 6 in interceptions, #1 in defensive touchdowns, and top 30 in sacks despite being A SAFETY. Perhaps due to his low athletic ability the Austin Copperheads think they can get away with making other teams believe he is a system safety. If they can, they'll return with the best secondary in the game, easily the best 1-2 punch in Gaines and Cole, and look to get another Ultimus. If I were to look at other teams, the Otters are perhaps the favorites, protecting the majority of their amazing players. Loaded with top talent, the teams will look to benefit off of the expansion draft. However, the expansion teams may surprise us. If they can get a few great pieces, look for them to make some noise come ultimus season.

19) I love being a snake. We easily have the best locker room in the entire NSFL, and it isn't close. We all value one another, talk about not just the game of football, and all know one another. It's a great time just being together, and our constant activity is the talk of all the league. We may have a mediocre logo, but our will to use ms paint to give it sans eyes is unparalleled. Our commitment to updating is helped by our discord team, our gms, and carried substantially by their lack of forcing people to update. Because of this, low tpe champions like Okura can get away with literally not updating or doing predictions for months, and still being one of the best safety's in the entire NSFL. How does Austin even get all this talent anyway? It seems like the team hasn't lost a single player to FA, yet continues to gain new great players through the draft. It's a momentous accomplishment, and the GM's should be proud of their work. Not to mention, the Copperheads have had huge amounts of success in the playoffs and have a history. Our culture is easily the best in the NSFL, and I'm proud to be a Copperhead for life.


9) Similarly related to my previous point, the Copperheads are primed to be NSFL champions for years to come. As other teams reel from the shock of the expansion draft, the young core of the Copperheads will thrive in the new, weaker NSFL. But what will they do about the massive and gargantuan loss of their players? It's a simple philosophy that the Austin Copperheads have had for years: next man up. Constantly building up talent, to the point of absurdity, the depth and skill of every single player on the team is immense. Even if the only team to have players drafted from were the Copperheads, they'd still have enough talent to win four games. There isn't a single spot on the team that has a weakness, excluding the offensive line since every team's offensive line sucks and ours is just substantially worse due to the sim constantly screwing us over and getting holding calls on touchdowns. Look at QB, ya got the man, the myth, the legend Easton Cole, master of the perfectly timed interception. You think they're mistakes? No, he throws them to intentionally get the opponent cocky: it's a mindgame. Then you have Gaines, he just catches the ball and get's TD's, his job is simple and precise. The secondary is all powerful, and the LB Honda Edmonds is the GOAT 2 tackle gang member. Look out world, the next dynasty is Austin.

12) Pay It Forward
Written: Write about someone in this league who you look up to or who you think of as a friend. Why do they deserve to be lauded?

Jason97. Been a friend of his in real life since high school and we have still been close. We both share an interest and passion for sim leagues so that helps forsure. Would make it so much more entertaining for me if I would be on the same team as his. It would make the lockeroom environment so much more enjoyable and also a pretty good laugh. I know basically nothing about being apart of a football league and I do not think he has much knowledge aswell, he could have and it would be news for me. I think with us both being on the same team and trying to become succesful in this would be funny because we actually have absolute no knowledge or experience in knowing if we are going down the right path. I would take his opinion when it comes to my player and would assume he knows what he is doing when it is extremely possible that I am doing the opposite of building a good player. I would not want to give too much advice to him because I do not want to be one to blame if it starts to go south in his career, which is obviously not where I want it to go. I would want to point him into the right direction, try to introduce him to the people who have been around a little longer and have been successful in building players of different positions and the positions that we have created.

Claude Miller The Second does have some strong suits. I would like to think that one of them is football but wow is he built, he is nice and handsome and well, he is one big human. Being a Defensive Tackle and coming in at a size of a little over 300 pounds at 301 lbs and also standing tall at 6 feet and 4 inches. I would assume that he would be a good athlete for the body issue of ESPN or Sports Illustrated, I am not even sure the company. Or even companies like Under Armour and Adidas and Nike and whatnot. In this day and age, with womens positivty and body shaming, using bigger models and not the clean cut and chiseled type is very in the norm. I would not be surprised if Giorgio Armani wants to make a custom suit for me and show how his high quality fabric and very talented tailors can make even the biggest of people look great and feel comfortable in things that are known as being uncomfortable and tough to wear for long periods of time. As an athlete and a formal guy, Claude Miller also likes to go dressed in suits to the game. So I think a high end fashion desginer would be one that I would want to get. Also, I have italian origins and they not only have great fashion designer and suit tailors there, it is also culture of looking good and feeling good in order to play good.

19) Team Culture
Written: What is it about your team’s culture and/or locker room that makes you happy to be there? If there are any problems, what do you think should be done to improve them?

Honestly, the main reason why I joined this sim league wass to give me a little extra something to do during this whole pandemic crisis in the world and having to deal with quarantine. But there is one thing that has always been an interest point for me sticking around and that is Discord. It is a great application and having access to an instant messaging lockeroom or commuinity, depending the server you can be in, is fantastic for keeping in touch and staying active. The London Royals are an expansion team for what I understand and we are all working hard for updates and cheer so much to try and make the team do good and have a good history behind of it. The little I have been there, I can honestly say we all have a great passion for the team and the league and it is exactly that that makes people come back and wanting more for the sim league experience. If I can come on and know that every little thing my player does can go down in history and giving the team an identity, I know I will be active. And that is the feeling and the goal that the team wants to have.I am not one to start problems either or look for any if no one crosses me the wrong way. We all take the positivty out of every situation, even though it is a little tougher as an expansion team and not making the playoffs. We know we have to work a little tougher in order to be succesful and change that stigma that kind of hovers around the team.

4) OL or K/P Appreciation
Written: Write about an active human offensive lineman or special teamer that is in the playoffs, and how they will or did affect the outcome.

The Portland Pythons have not had the best luck with our kicking and punting during this season. During a discussion on the state of the kicker/punter position, especially in the DSFL, my manager KanakoTheSquirrel (former kicker) said this: “people Blame you for missing one FG/XP out of some times 3 to 4 but don't say good job when you go 100%.” In that spirit, I think that @Kalakar’s rookie kicker Kal Solarin needs to be recognized as the key to Myrtle Beach’s Ultimus win. After averaging out as the second-worst punter by yards and the fourth-worst kicker by field goal percentage, Solarin exploded in the playoffs, accounting for 21 of the Buccaneer’s 45 total points in their wins over Norfolk and Kansas City. Dax Frost and the rest of the Buccaneer offense made the effort as easy on Solarin as they could (5 of their 6 field goals came from under 40 yards, and 3 were under 30), but Solarin delivered on every single field goal attempt, including their longest from 45 yards out to seal the deal against the Coyotes. Despite Solarin’s one missed extra-point attempt, this level of execution in the playoffs deserves to be recognized. Solarin returned the favor to the Buccaneer’s defense by putting up 400 yards on their 9 punts, pinning 4 of those behind the 20-yard line across MB’s two playoff games. Kicking and punting are most often considered a game of inches, coming into greatest scrutiny when games are on the line in the final minutes. Myrtle Beach soared through their two playoff games against Norfolk and KC by 18 and 17 point margins respectively, so the narrative of these games most likely won’t come down to the contributions from special teams. However, MB’s dominance in the S22 playoffs clearly only comes off of the back of their team dominating in EVERY stage of the game: offense, defense, and, thanks to Kal Solarin, special teams.

18) Awards Season
Written: Make the case for one of your teammates to win an award at the NSFL or DSFL levels. What have they done to earn the nod?

Zamir Kehla had a wild rookie season. Moved over from his natural position as an outside corner over to the free safety position for the first couple of games in the season, Kehla struggled to put up numbers or to make an impact in a loaded backfield. As a result of Zamir being a weak link at FS, Portland’s defense suffered in those first two games, giving up 31 and 24 points. After a move back to the outside, Kehla made a lot of noise in the numbers column. DSFL defensive coordinators were eager to try and challenge the young defensive back, but Zamir on the outside was put into a position to maximize all of his biggest strengths and to make those OCs sorry. With his natural athleticism and elite speed, Kehla blanketed opposing wide receivers in 1-on-1 coverage. With his lightning quick reflexes, Kehla could give receivers just enough space for quarterbacks to believe that they were open before Kehla zoomed in to jump the route. After a streak of games making crazy plays on the ball and some clutch receptions Zamir Kehla was way on top of the numbers for DBs and the clear favorite for DBotY. OCs in the coming made adjustments as Kehla established his side of the field as a no fly zone and the numbers took a drop as lesser DBs were able to catch up in that category. Now coming into awards season, Kehla has taken a fall in analysts rankings for DBotY candidates. In doing so, they remain blind to Kehla’s role in the fierce Pythons defense as a man-on-man shutdown corner. And Kehla’s lead in interceptions in the DSFL remains, showing the level of statistical success he could have if opposing offenses weren’t scared to even look at him when they take the field. Kehla should be the clear DBotY favorite for the DSFL and a candidate for DPotY.

8) Revenge

The London Royals beat us twice this year. Acura Skyline romped over our defense and made us look like a high school team. The Royals come right into the league as an expansion team and hide across an ocean where no one can get to them. They might think that their black and gold lion might make them look royal, but it just makes them look like a bank. And everyone hates banks. Given the fact that 40% of their wins came against one team (us), they obviously suck as they couldn’t beat anyone else. They lost twice to Portland (lol) who couldn’t buy an offensive touchdown this season. It is apparent that the Royals took advantage of the matchup in the sim to beat us. Rest assured, this won’t happen again. Their precious running back might come back, but he won’t be able to get through our defense again without getting knocked on his ass the next time those bourgeois big cats can be bothered to make the trek across the pond. Advice to Royals: bring your muskets and your overcoats, polish up your swords and put on your stupid black fuzzy hats. Make sure your mum has the tea in the kettle ‘cause next time you return from a trip to Minnesota you won’t feel like getting up off the couch to grab your own biscuits.


6) Next Year

Dewalt27 and CLG Rampage have been great GM’s for the Grey Ducks this season. They are very active in the locker room and are kind and helpful to each and every player on the team. However, this season did not pan out as we had hoped in Minnesota. Lots of this was due to bad luck in the draft. Many Ducklings went inactive shortly after the draft, including almost every cornerback that we drafted. While other teams were hitting future 200 TPE players in the late rounds, the Grey Ducks could not catch a break. But this will not be the new normal. The Minnesota GM’s hit on their early picks - the ones they scouted heavily and really wanted to get. Therefore it is logical that in a smaller S23 class, Dewalt and Rampage should be able to repeat that success throughout the whole draft. With Vega leaving, it seems the Grey Ducks will have a big hole at QB, with the new de facto starter being Sim SnowBow with only 102 TPE. But Snowbow started out very slow and has been gaining well and consistently over the end of the season. Assuming his continued growth, Snowbow will function essentially as a high-round S23 pick. Expect him to have a good season for the Grey Ducks next year.

12) Pay It Forward

Lawrence Bass (@RussDrivesTheBus) has been one of my closest friends and motivators since entering the league from reddit. On the field, LB has balled out and become one of the leaders on the Grey Ducks’ defense. Bass is tied for second in the DSFL with 147 tackles, behind only S21 linebacker Gregor MacGregor of the Portland Pythons. Combine this with 6 tackles-for-loss and 6 sacks, it’s a mystery to me why the Grey Ducks’ captain is not getting more traction for DPOY.

Off the field, Lawrence is a steady presence in the locker room, filling it with positivity and encouragement. He and Mo “Mamba” Magic effectively act as captains of the team, encouraging us to get our point tasks in and maintaining the activity in the locker room. With Bass at the helm, the Grey Ducks have come together as a team. We celebrate each others’ victories and help each other through hardship. We have become our own little family.

I hope that the stars will align and we will continue on as teammates in the NSFL, but I know this is only a small possibility. However, I know that either way we will remain close, and whoever gets Lawrence Bass will have added a fantastic, positive, encouraging piece to their team, who will facilitate growth on and off the field.

4. alright so lets take some time to appreciate the best players in this league, the best atheletes on the field each and every game and the difference makers for each and every team. Those people are the Kickers. Of these kickers, the one that is the largest impact factor for a playoff team is gonna be Banana. He is one of if not the best kicker in the league, a true difference maker for the Yeti. You can be assured that if he gets his shot at an Ultimus trophy he will be sure to take advantage of that opportunity like he has in so many other games. Last time this elite kicker got a shot at a title (and the time before that) he was essential in the Grey Ducks winning the title. His performances withing 50 yards is incredible with a very high success rate, and the ability to pin teams deep in their own territory is next to none. Givin the chance I think we all can assume that Banana will be able to single handedly win his team another title and he hopes to be able to do so in the next few season as he starts to reach his peak.
6. So the yeti did not have a great season because the management continued to refuse to let me kick Field goals on first down. So in the future I still think that our outlook is to be one of the best teams in the league. The good teams will get Butchered with the expansion draft coming up so we should be good to go. All of our best and actives are protected so its just he trash like Ass Clap that we have exposed. Now we still have to start kicking in games far more often. Lets just take a look at the break down. We had a bunch of surrender punts this season because we could not do anything on offense in the red zone, so I suggest that we make the change needed and start kicking on 1st down after taking some big shots down the field. This would allow us to maximize our efficancy and get more drives out of each and every game. This is the key for us. If we refuse to do this there is no chance that the Yeti will be competing come next season and Banana will walk to a team that will let him kick on 1st down.
9. Alright so lets go over the reasons as to why there is a chance that the Yeti will have a great shot at becoming the next super dynasty in the NSFL. So it all starts with the most important position on the field, the kicker and they have one of the best in the agme in banana. This guy is an elite talent that they were able to pick up late in the draft and has shown to be the most clutch kicker in the history of the DSFL and now he is making his case for being the best in the big league. Now what they have to do is find another pidgey for their team, so that in addition to a good staff, they can also have more fun in the locker room. Now the next thing they have to do is start kicking more FGs on first down. As discussed before this is a new and elite strategy for winning football games that no one has the balls to try out and make it work. If the Yeti can do these two things, they will make it so that they have a great dynasty opportunity. I can see it happening we just have to wait.
10. I talked about this last season as there was a bit of a conteversy in the LR as the Gms refused to take the actions that I proposed that for sure would have seen our team rise to prominence in the nsfl. The first step that we should have taken and would take if I was the GM would be to create the draft board. There are a few good players but we are only looking for system fits and that means we are ranking the top kickers in the league. We will draft only kickers and trade picks where kickers are not available. This is the first part of the plan. The next part is to figure out who is the best kicker of the bunch and make him the actual kicker. We then need to find a way to maximize the sim for our abilities and this means making a way for the engine to let us kick on first down when ever we can. In addition to kickers its about building a top defense to stop the other team in their own end. We will play a field position game and by doing this we will for sure be able to win a championship or 20 with this new tactic.

6. Next year
The Dallas Birddogs would have probably made it to the playoffs this season if the sim had not screwed them royally for 4 straight times. Even if they didn’t made it to the playoffs, their record this season shows promise as they fought through the season without a single senddown and yet won against top caliber teams like Myrtle beach Buccaneers. This was due to the outstanding rookie class – the best in the DSFL according to many analysis articles- drafted by GMs inverted and Gucci.
The Birddogs will only be stronger in the next season as they will be getting back several members of said outstanding class back as senddowns to anchor the offense and defense for the rookies next season. And even if gucci stepped down as GM after the season, the scouting ability of the Birddogs had increased a lot, with addition of analytical genius isetgosaurus and several S22 rookies joining forces in the war room. With them on the helm, the next draft class will be even better than this one.
The Birddogs have a bright future ahead of them, with their quarterbacks Monty Jack and several other prominant players returning to the team next season and the GMs and war room members ready to start off a great season with a great draft, the Ultimini is no longer a far away objective. (227)
10. Armchair GM
Improving the Dallas Birddogs is fairly simple as the Birddogs are a DSFL franchise. You just have to draft well. As an armchair GM, I'll discuss my moves to improve the Birddogs through the draft.
The most obvious need for the team will be front seven of the defence. The Birddogs only have one active defensive end- James Cho- now and even Cho has high possibility of leaving the team next season. Also, defensive tackles Deshun Jones and Big Edd and all three Birddog linebackers- Stanislaw Koniecpolski, Haha Mango-panda and Benson Bayley Jr- have a quite high possibility of being in the NSFL next season instead of suiting up in the birddog uniform. So, front 7, especially defensive ends, should be the number 1 priority for the Birddogs in drafting.
For the offence, quarterback and runningback position isn't needed that much as the Birddogs will likely get the starters from the position back for the next season. However, the receiving corps might need some new blood as WR1 William Lim and receiving TE Jeffrey Phillips are most likely to be on the NSFL roster by next season. Even though they have some depth in the position(especially TEs) the Birddogs will seek to replenish the depth. Also, the Birddogs desperately need help in offensive line no human player is in that position. As Monteray Jack had a very hard time under that line, offensive line will be another prioritized position along with front 7. Apart from that, the Birddogs can do with some improvements in secondary for depth and a kicker as their current one is IA. (266)
19. Team culture
The culture in Birddogs locker room is great, especially considering they are an expansion team and do not have their alums in the locker rooms currently. Gucci and inverted, the team's inaugural GM duo, remedied the problem by simply drafting many active people and bringing them to discord locker rooms. As a result of their effort, a lot of people- like current co GM iStegosauruz- who was deemed inactive before the draft was contacted, brought into the locker foom, and merged in as a member of birddog community.
Currently, the Birddogs locker room has numerous vocal members and is active around the clock as members are across several time zones like U.S. east/ west coast, europe and asia. The locker room, or the dog house as the members affectionately call it, is a very cool place to hang out in any time of the day and have a casual conversations about various topics. Also, the dog house often buzzes with NSFL related talks- like statistical analysis or mock draft comments- as many members also actively participate in those activities in forums, often setting new trends. The recent influx of NSFL sxouts, who came to see many of the Birddogs who are regarded as top draft picks, added even more to the activity.
All in all, I love the culture of the Birddogs locker room. Everybody is friendly with each other, and it's a good place to ask any questions that you have. I really hope the rookies after us get to enjoy this amazing culture, too. (256)
20. Nostalgia
The happiest memory I have of NSFL so far is that of my first career touchdown reception, which happened in week 10 game against Kansas City Coyotes. I have been worried for several sims before that as I had no touchdowns for the season so far, despite having a more than deent yard and yard per catch stats. I was hoping that I get a touchdown or two before the end of season, sparing me of the fate of having something like 500 receiving yards and no touchdowns.
However, those TDs proved to be evasive as I didn't had many touches in the first place, let alone in the red zone, because of my team's run first scheme. I then realized the only chance I had at having a touchdown this season was on a big play, as the play calling became even more run oriented than normal in the red zone. As much as I wanted to complain, but our run game was more efficient than the passing game, so that playcalling was the right thing to do.
With that burden, plus the mindset that I have to help my team win a crucial game of the playoff push, I entered week 10 game. And that 30 yard touchdown catch &run in a crucial moment of a close game made me so happy and relieved at the same time. Even though we lost that game in a heartbreaking manner a quarter after I caught my first touchdown, that moment stays as my happiest memory in NSFL. (257)

13) Interview a star.

Interviewing KCC DE and upcoming draft prospect Ismael Sanchez

Net) Firstly congrats on making it to the ultimini! How are you feeling about this ultimini matchup? Any expectations performance wise?

Ismael) I am feeling Hyped and nervous for the ultimini. Hyped because this is gonna be amazing making the ultimini in my first season. But nervous since MB is a really tough opponent and it will take lots of effort to beat them. But i expect KC to manage to win this in a close game.

Net) Looking back at the season what do you think made the KCC the team that they are now?

Ismael) Right now the draftees were the ones that made a huge difference on our team. Last year we were pretty bad but after this draft we were stacked with active players.

Net) How you feel about the upcoming draft and what is a team getting when they draft you? What separates you from the rest of the class?

Ismael) First of i am determined to become the best DE in the league. Im focused and im willing to grind TPE so i can make it to the top. I try to get past any obstacles in my way to the HOF. Teams will expect an amazing run stopper and someone who will always get to the RB. They would also expect a hard worker who will always be determined to get my team and myself to the top.

Net) Will KCC going to the ultimini be a common thing? How much faith do you have in butters and star with handling KCC?

Ismael) With the talent we have now i think we could make the ultimini a lot these season. If the rookies that get drafted get sent back down most likely we can make the ultimini back to back. I have a lot of faith in Star and Butters to take this team to the top. So hopefully i can believe in them getting the best draftees next year and then the next and keep up these ultiminis coming.

16) Scouting report: White Goodman

Bio: White goodman was picked in the second round by the birdogs since he is there GM. Building a team from scratch going RB was a smart move and guaranteed a good earning Receving and Rushing weapon. This season Goodman had 914 yards, 4.5 average and 6 TDs, which is impressive considering he was sharing Carrie's with Jones who had similar numbers. On the receiving side he only had 60 yards and just 1 TDs which is odd for his build but his scheme probably didn't used him much of a receving threat.

Strengths:

Elite speed and burst (90+ Speed)

Can go sideline to sideline on a dime (73+ Agility)

Can run routes like a receiver (73+ agility)

Low center of gravity making it easier to evade defenders (5'6)

Excellent hands making him a versatile weapon that can line up anywhere (70+ hands)

Weaknesses:

May have trouble finding the holes and relys more on his pure athleticism (40+ intel)

Weak when blocking, a scheme use him as a pass blocker would have a rough time (25+ pass block)

Doesn't break tackles can easily be taken down with arm tackles and doesn't move where during contact (40+ Strenght)

Overall: White Goodman could be a versatile weapon for any offense, got potential to be elite as a receiving option and a running option but power heavy schemes may have trouble using him. Goodman could got somewhere in the mid first to the early 3rd round

20. The happiest moment in the league ln the league was definitely when se austin won there first ultimus during s21. It's a very special moment in history and four our team because that was the first ultimus win for our team and to reach that accomplishment in only 5 seasons that was truly amazing feat that will leave a mark in the NSFL. It came so unexpected too nobody had us winning the ultimus in our predictions in the beginning of the season, some people don't even have us naming the playoffs and to shock the NSFL world like that and proving we are contenders was a good feeling already but to win the ultimus going from a winless team just 5 seasons ago truly that will be a memory I will cherish in the NSFL. Even if we win more ultimis in the future I for sure know that it won't have the same feeling as last ultimus win just because of how quickly we risen and I didn't even expected it a few seasons ago too, because I know we was a expansion team and it would take some work for us to get there but boom it just happend and we now have one ultimis win under out belt. Hopefully more to come too.

17. After a great come back seasom after having mediocre stats last seasons with a mere 2 TDs, Net finally got noticed after a great season passing over 1000 yards net had gotten about more than a dozen sponsorship offers. Of course being the business man he is net has to take them and of course he wanted to take the offer that will generate the most views so net can wait for the money to flow in like the cash cow he is. Net decided the sponsorship he'll take it no other then everyone's favorite deodorant brand old spice. The commerical it starts like this, Net is lined up wide left, the ball snaps net runs passed a defender, the ball is thrown high and net makes a stunning one handed TD catch and the fans go wild. What's this net starts running back to the Locke room for some odd reason. The next scene net is shown digging through his bag and then grabbed the one and only Old Spice spray and starts spraying some, next scene he runs back in the field all the cheer leaders glances of the very sexy Net Gaines and then net says the finishing line "Old spice, the old spice smell with worth celebrating from" next scene shown net dancing with the cheer leaders.

1) Playoff Predictions, Reviews:

Well, after upsetting the Colorado Yeti last week in round one of the NSFL playoffs it was off to Baltimore to face the NFSC leading Hawks in their house. Not many media pundits were giving the Wraiths much of chance heading into this game but people seem to have short memories and this Wraiths team was a team heading into this game hungry to Change the Ending. After a 0-0 1st Quarter which consisted of each team more or less feeling each other out the Wraiths EXPLODED in the second quarter putting up a whopping 24 points. Cooter Bigsby played his heart out slinging the pig skin for two TDs in the quarter but it was a timely pick six by yours truly that really put the Hawks in a whole heading into halftime. The Hawks pushed hard in the fourth quarter to try and overcome the 2nd quarter deficit created by the Wraiths but the defence was just too much for the Corvo Harvan led Hawks and the Wraiths prevailed 24-19 to defeat the highly favoured Hawks to book yet another Ultimus birth. Offensive player of the game was given to Mathias Hanyadi who ran rampant over the Hawks putting up 117 yards. One more upset to seal the Ultimus.

3) X-Factor

There are a couple of players on the current Wraiths roster that could be considered an "X- Factor". Of course you have to consider some of the savy vets like Danny Grithead, Cooter Bigsby and Nate Swift but none of those are my choice for team X Factor heading into the Ultimus game next week. I think come next week against the Second Line Mathias Hanyadi will be the teams X Factor. In our back to back playoff upset wins Hanyadi has carried the team on his back putting up over 100 yards on the ground in each game and chipping in, in the passing game as well. He also had a fantastic regular season rushing for over 1000 yards and punching in 7 majors. I really think to beat the Second Line next week the team will have to establish a solid run game lead by Hanyadi to help open up the rest of the offence for the likes of the aforementioned Bigsby and Swift. We handed New Orleans their first loss of the year this season and in that game Hanyadi was instrumental putting up 93 yards on the ground and an additional 71 yards through the air to seal the victory.

8) Revenge

Revenge is a dish best served cold. The Orange County Otters have been a powerhouse since I joined the league in Season 17. In my first couple of seasons I had the pleasure of making it all the way to the Ultimus game only to be defeated by the Otters again, and again. We have been beat in the playoffs by a couple of other teams since them but those early losses, cut deep. We were a good team those season...maybe even great and the Otters slapped us with reality when it meant the most. For that reason I always want revenge against the Otters, even in the regular season. I think it adds to the rivalry and thirst for revenge that the team is lead by MVP Franklin Armstrong who was a former teammate of mine and WR Dexter Banks who is a fellow Season 17 member who has become one of my fiercest competitors in the league. Every time we match up with this team it turns into must watch TV and typically ends in a great game. Those first couple Ultimus losses will always cut deep but in my petty little world a regular season victory here or there definitely makes me feel better!

12) Pay It Forward

I joined the NSFL for the football but ended up getting sucked in and staying for the great community. Because of that there and a number of guys I could write this PT about who are very deserving of being recognized for great players and great people but the one I will feature is a teammate of mine, Maurice Virtanen. BaconBrother or Murtsi as he's known around here is an absolute stub LB from season 18. I have completed every PT since joining but some how this guy has caught up to me in TPE and I have a whole season headstart!! He's incredibly active in the locker room and is always a positive voice no matter what's going on in real life or in the league. I should also mention that he has the cutest puppy in the league. He is a force in the war room and is always glad to do whatever it takes to help the team win. I really can't think of a single negative thing to say about this guy and quite frankly it's an honour and a pleasure playing alongside him. I genuinely believe that he has made my NSFL experience a more positive one and I'm happy he's my teammate!

Scouting Report
My scouting report is going to be for the upcoming draft of the NSFL. The player is defensive tackle Big “Snacks” Edd. Edd was picked as the 149th pick for the dallas birddogs. Over time though he has become one of the top Defensive tackle prospects. Edd an excellent combination of size, strength and athleticism. He isn’t a massive body but has enough power to play as a nose tackle in a 3-4 scheme or as a 4-3 defense tackle or end. He utilizes excellent hand strength and quickness to control defenders. Edd is often unblockable for one offensive lineman and draws many double teams from opposing offenses. He shows great range to make plays outside the tackle box and is quick to shed blockers to get to the ball. Edd is a disruptive lineman that can create havoc with penetration versus the running game. Edd has developed an expanded pass rush package with counters coming off his initial power move. His production, power, athleticism, technique and versatility make him arguably the best interior defender in this years draft. Edd is a dominating player that projects as an impact defender in his rookie season. Edd has a supreme blend of power and explosiveness from the defensive tackle spot. Possesses great size and strength to hold up at the point of attack in the running game or bull rush the pocket. Uses his athleticism and instincts to chase down running plays. Highly-competitive performer with a big-time motor. Terrific hand use to disengage against the run. Edd’s been a highly-productive and versatile player during his career. (264 words)

I want Nike to contact me and sponsor me to do 2 ads during the Ultimus bowl. One obviously for the corona virus. Something as simple as the camera panning to me playing wreaking havoc on the quarterbacks and getting sacks, getting all dirty from the field. After words show me washing my hands properly. Turn on the sink, wet your hands and lather with soap for 20 seconds. If you can’t time that then sing the happy birthday song twice. Then dry your hands. Do this to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Just do it (then show nike swoosh symbol) The second ad would be for the company I care about Big brother and Big sister. This organization has been a big influence in my life and I always want to pay it forward. This ad would show many athletes from all different sports, playing various sports with kids of all ages. On top of playing sports showing other activities big brothers and sisters can do like shopping, grabbing a bite to eat, helping studying, playing games, and other various activities. This organization always needs more Big’s to help with their cause and you don’t have to be a super athlete to do it. You can be a change in someone else’s life and be there all-star. Team Culture
The Dallas Birddog locker room has got to be one of the most unique locker rooms I’ve had been a part of. It is a very friendly and enjoyable place to be. We have players from all over and ages ranging all over. On top of that there is very little drama except for the moment where we had Big “Snacks” Edd request a trade. We can hardly call that drama issues. People ask questions and the GM’s are kind enough to answer as quickly as possible. They shoutout when TPE opportunities are available or when TPE claims have been posted. We all have a win mentality. Yes we have lost games but going into all those games our mindset was to dominate the field and the opposing opponents and sometimes the football just doesn’t roll your way. It may have been a bit easier to establish this culture in our locker room due to being a completely new team in the expansion draft but nonetheless that brought in more talent that could have the possibility of bumping heads and yet that has yet to happen. Everyone literally gets along with one another I have never seen an argument happen once. We also have a pokecord so many of us are out there sniping pokemon when we can looking for the best of the best. Overall a great locker room to be in. (233 words)

Armchair GM
The Dallas Birddogs did an amazing draft job this year. Despite being an expansion team the birddogs were able to do 5-7 for their first year which they drafted all there players from. After such a season we have 10 players above 200 TPE that qualify as first round picks into the NSFL. Due to this fact the Birddogs again will have to replenish this strong players that may not come back to the DSFL to play since the top 10 are considered starter worthy options. The front 7 of the Birddogs on the defensive front was the core strength of this team. Unfortunately 3 of those starters will probably move up into the NSFL to start and therefor the Birddogs will have to find a new Defensive end, Defensive Tackle, and Linebacker. Defensive ends and tackles are very scarce to begin with so the birddogs first challenge is to replenish them with strong and good upcoming talents. On the offensive side they will probably lose their starting running back and quarterback. The quarterback may stay to play in the DSFL to continue improve his stats. The running back position is deep but dallas again will lose two starting caliber running backs. Offensive line is another option to go as most teams tend to only have automated bots playing the line. Currently I do believe Dallas has no actual offensive linemen that are human. Hopefuly the Birddogs can hit on this draft and do even better from what they have built this year. (253 words)

19) Team Culture

The Grey Ducks locker room has been a great escape from the morbid reality we’re all facing currently. Everyone is having a great time, sharing media, posting pictures of their precious pets, and checking in on each other. It’s been truly a fantastic place to be when I’m done working or feeling lonely during isolation. Even though we had an incredibly rough season, the spirits in the locker room remained high. Guys like @thevoicelesscreator, @FurFurFurson and @SnowyWolfz are always on and keeping the conversation going, so the LR is never really dead. One of my favorite things about the culture of Minnesota is how helpful everyone is. If anyone has a question about truly anything, it’s answered immediately. We discussed the cloaca today, so there’s that. @Dewalt27 and @CLG Rampage are always keeping us up to date on all of our TPE opportunities, and working with guys on how they should apply that TPE if they need help. It’s been such an amazing locker room, that I honestly neglected joining many others because I felt so at home in Minnesota. If any prospects are reading this and they’ve been anxious about joining a DSFL locker room, put those fears to rest and join Minnesota. You won’t regret it.

12) Pay It Forward

This is a great opportunity to shout out Dewalt. He has been an absolutely fantastic GM for Minnesota this year, and it’s only his first year to boot! Early in the season, I was getting frustrated with the sim and our results. For the first 6 weeks, we went 1-1 every stream. But it felt like nothing I was doing was actually having an impact. In the locker room, I had been vocal about wanting to get better and asking about changes that could be made. Dewalt took it upon himself to reach out to me and talk it out. He eventually taught me about the sim and how the team is run, giving me the insight and visibility to strategy that I had been craving. He made me a team captain shortly after, and I couldn’t be more honored. Dewalt is a fantastic human, who works his ass off for this team. Anyone who says different is either intentionally lying, or utterly misinformed. He prepares for every game like it’s the Ultimus, and put us in the best position possible to win. The sim was not on our side this year, but I have 100% confidence that he will turn it around and Minnesota will lift the trophy again very soon.

11) Rivalry

Everybody listen up. The London Royals are now officially Minnesota’s number one rival. Wings down. No questions. These snooty jerks came into the league, with their fancy teas and silly accents, and beat the reigning champions. Twice! That’s not right. First of all, they’re cheaters. But Russ, how can you say that? Easy! They’ve got a damn car at running back. Even though the Acura is a trash vehicle, our defense could only keep up with that four-wheeled demon for so long. How is that allowed in the league? @bex, get it together. Second, they think they’re better than everyone because they managed to get gold as a team color. Check the stock market, ya idiots. Gold isn’t even that valuable anymore. Maybe you can put some gold rims on your shiny Acura and watch him ride away to the NSFL along with your chances of ever winning the Ultimini.
In a season full of ups and downs, though, we have to look at the positives. For instance, we got the last laugh, finishing a game above them in the standings. Now, does that eliminate the pain of defeat? No. But, will they ever beat us again in the history of this league? Also, no.

10) Armchair GM

This year was atypical for the Grey Ducks, to say the least. Based on our GM’s incredible draft, we should have cruised to a third championship, with little resistance. However, even though they returned two of the most productive offensive players from the previous season in Zach Vega (QB) and Baby Yoda (RB), we struggled to score all season. Moving forward, Vega will be changing position to WR, and Baby Yoda is going to be called up to start an incredible career in the NSFL. That’s the bad news. The good news is, SnowBow is going to be a great QB for them, and a great leader in the locker room. The biggest needs for this offseason will most likely be in the defensive side of the ball. But, based on research conducted throughout the season, I truly believe the impact of having a couple human controlled OL players, will put the Grey Ducks right back where they belong. If we can hit on a solid CB/S combo, some front seven guys to put pressure on opposing QBs and one or two OL in the draft, that will go a long way toward steering the Ducks back to the Ultimini. Is that an easy task, certainly not. Are Dewalt and CLG up to the task? You bet your ass.
