I really do believe that the Yellowknife Wraiths will come out on top. If you look at their team this season, you see a team with a defense that is dominant. We know that defense wins championships and they have had a very, very solid defense. Then you look at their offense and you see them with their best OL yet and a three headed monster with Hanyadi, Bigsby, and Swift. Throw in guys like Bender Rodrgizuez, Will Hardigan, and Acura Skyline and you fine yourself a top tier offense as well. Just top to bottom you can see the Wriaths being arguably the best team. I think teams like the Otters behind Franklin Armstrong and the Second Line can give the Wraiths a run for their money. If you look at the history of the Wraiths, it also just seems like they are about due to win one. They have become a meme at times and have been so close to winning it all. I really do believe this is their year. They will need Bigbsy to step up in the playoffs and continue his MVP level performance as well as continue to dominate in the trenches. If this happens, I belive they will win the whole thing.

NSFL postseason is dumb and also has already started so im going to talk about the DSFL instead. Imagine that, Dwyer actually caring about the DSFL, its a damn miracle.

So the Tijuana Luchadores clinched first place in the DSFL. Not only did they clinch first place, and thus home field advantage, for the entire playoffs, but they did so before the final sim of the season, showing just how dominant of a team they are. You know what that means right? It 100% means they are gonna lose in the first round to Norfolk.

Thats right, I'm predicting my own team to lose. Why? Because Murphy's law thats why. Plus im pretty sure the sim has decided I havent suffered enough so its gonna raw dog me like everything else in the league. The other reason is that against Norfolk this season, Tijuana is 1-2 counting the preseason. The only time they played them at home was a week 1 loss. So history is not on their side.

Instead I predict a Minnesota/Norfolk finals. Why? Well because @ForSucksFake keeps saying its gonna happen so I believe he is speaking it into existence. On that front, Minnesota has beaten the Seawolves In both of their matchups, once even shutting them out, so I will predict the Minnesota Grey Ducks as your S22 DSFL champs!

Typically I try not to make predictions on how playoffs will go mostly because it's virtually impossible for anyone to accurately predict how things will shake out. In sports luck can change in the blink of an eye with no rhyme or reason. But when I look down the standings for this, and having played against this team myself, I don’t see there being any team that can beat the Tijuana Luchadores in the DSFL. They only truly had two bad games all season, their first two games against London and Norfolk, after that the two games they would lose later on in the season would only be by one score. Luck can always change and Tijuana, at least I believe, has the raw talent to overcome that problem in the playoffs.

Tijuana has the best passing offense in the league, led by quarterback Ben Slothisberger. They managed to consistently put up 23.6 points a game all throughout the season, which is best in the league. They also have one of the best defenses in the league which either was on top in yards covered in run and pass or was 2nd at worst. Given all the talent, all the active users, all the drive they have to win, I believe we will see Tijuana claim their 7th title.

This was Doug Howlett's first full regular season in a sim league and boy was it a stand out year for the true rookie receiver. Tijuana has one of the top receiver rooms and Howlett came out second on his team in receiving yards behind his teammate and league leader Vequain.

Interviewer (I) : How do you see yourself and your team going into the playoffs?

Howlett (H) : I am very confident, we had a rough first couple weeks at the start of the year but we pushed back and came out on top with the highest win rate in the league. Going into the playoffs, I see myself making some vital upgrades and have been practicing my strength and conditioning to really earn some grit. We play extremely well on both sides of the fields so I have a lot of confidence going into the playoffs.

I : Who do you expect to see in the finals?

H : Minnesota.

I : Why?

H: They have a great organisation and some of the best front office personal behind Tijuana. There players have really been given the opportunity to shine behind their schemes.

I: Any closing remarks?

H: Yeah. Keep your eyes peeled for what we luchadores can do. It's not all about TPE and Money.

My dark horse pick is going to be the Yellowknife Wraiths. Now I can already hear you scoffing and being like uuh how is that a dark horse pick. Well it's cuz they failed to win the cup in their last four finals of which three were at home.

Now I don't know if you know anything about this league, but away final wins aren't common especially not before the Yellowknife run. In the 17 seasons before that only 2 other teams had lost the finals at home.

Anyways what's differnt this year, not much that I know of really. They will likely face the Otters against which is sure to bring back some shivers. As the Otters were 2 of the 3 finals they lost at home against.

I want to believe in the Wraiths to bring the cup back to the NSFC after 7 seasons now. Also fuck the Otters nobody wants to see them win anything more.

Meanwhile Corvo Havran will be sobbing at home remembering the one time he played in a final, which was at home and lost... against the Otters. man fuck those otters. Atleast he is now in a nice house on Hawaii, so it's not all bad right. ANyways he will be rooting for his old rivals to go and win a cup. Go Wraths!

As we approach the end of the playoffs the question has to be asked; how can the Wraiths lose? The Wraiths points for is 210 points greater than their points against. The next best team in the playoffs, the Copperheads, is at 117. The Wraith’s offense is rolling, and their defense makes stops when it counts. So which team could stop their playoff run? My answer is the Otters. The Otter’s defense has the 2nd highest number of interceptions in the league and 3rd highest number of sacks. The Otter’s ability to take the ball away from high powered offenses and put offenses in 3rd and long situations could give them the necessary edge to take down the Wraiths. Pairing with their formidable defense, the Otter’s real weapon is their running game. Of playoff teams they have the most rushing yards, and they have the most rushing touchdowns in the league. Their mobile QB, Armstrong, averages nearly 7 yards per attempt and has 6 rushing touchdowns. This paired with their HB, Bigby, brings another 7 rushing touchdowns to the table. All of this to say that their ground game and stellar defense could bring the Otters the championship this year, that is, if they can make it past the Copperheads.

The London Royals are the undisputed dark horse of the Developmental Simulation Football League's race to the Ultimini trophy in the playoffs. Before the season, many had written them off, including Isidore's infamous power rankings, who ranked them among the worst teams in the league. And yet here we are, the Royals have made the playoffs with some heroic efforts on both sides of the ball.

Now they must go to Minnesota again in order to reach the coveted Ultimini game, and that is by no means an easy feat. However an upset does not seem that unlikely. In the previous season the Royals swept the Ducks, so they know how to beat this team. This last update has also vastly improved the Royals, who have as mighty an offense as many. Jack and Kaepercolin will look to lead the charge, supported by Arrabiata, Cash, King and Batista. That is a lot of firepower. The defense is pretty stacked as well, with a secondary feared by many.

The key in this game will be the offensive line giving Jack enough time to throw. With a win at the Ducks, the Ultimini would be within grasp. Remember, anything is possible, and the SIM will SIM. An upset could be upon us, even bigger than Myrtle Beach missing out on the playoffs.
