Hi! So as some of you may know, I have been working on a thesis for my Master's Degree in Astrophysics. It's taken a lot of time, effort, and stress (and joining HO while doing this probably was a mistake lol) but I'm glad to announce that it's been fully completed!

You can read it here if you want. And I'll be here to answer any questions you might have on it. It's like 50 pages though so I don't think anyone will actually read the whole thing

Fun story - my defense and the Ultimus sim were on the same exact day, so I found out that I will get my degree and the Yeti won an Ultimus on the same day

Anyways, now that that's over, I'm unemployed so that's fun

I won't pretend to understand any of this, but I saw the picture on page 17 and the nearby words "runaway star" and was immediately terrified at that thought . Regardless, this is a huge accomplishment and you should be proud of it. I know that you are an awesome advocate, resource, and leader in this league and I hope between this achievement and your Ultimus win you've been able to celebrate!

Also, I think progenitor gained so much mass that the resulting ejection velocity was small. It makes more sense that way. But I suppose there is potential for a BSS not to have occured
