I am thrilled about the recent changes, especially the launch of Dotts trading cards, a project I have been heading up. I believe that the money/economy aspect is the area that most needs improvement. So many users have so much more money than they can spend because of league jobs and media. The Dotts trading cards will hopefully partially address that issue by giving us more to spend money on. Another money issue yet to be addressed, though, is contract realism. There is this weird dynamic where the best and most active users have the worst contracts. In fact, it seems there is this pressure to tell GMs in scouting that you'll take a minimum contract in order to boost your draft stock. Another issue with rookie deals is players skipping town after one year. I have a suggestion that fixes both: a rookie contract structure similar to the NFL. All rookie contracts have a set length (I'd suggest three years) and the pay scale is set according to draft position. Here would be my suggested pay scale:
1st overall: 4M per year
top 5: 3.5M per year
First rounder: 3M per year
Second rounder: 2.5M per year
Third through fifth round: 2M per year
sixth through eighth round: 1.5M per year
Ninth round onward: 1M per year

This pay scale would add a level of realism, would protect the interests of rookies who are trying to impress GMs, and would keep teams from getting burned by their draft picks skipping town. A player could still leave after one year via trade, but the team that drafted the player could get compensation in return.

Written Option: The league has made a major change recently, one which will hopefully prevent future accidental Discord incursions by neo-Nazis getting confused by our less-than-appropriate name. In your view, what are some other changes you think need to be made to the league, its rules, or how it runs? Are there any pressing changes or issues that you think should be fixed?

- mandatory reading lessons
- reduction in tampering regulations and rules
- more stuff to spend money on
- trading cards to be given price min and max caps while being both sellable and tradeable
- add a general 2 channel for when general 1 is too aids
- give punishments to brainlets who talk shit but dont put feedback in the wiki section or have the stones to enter the discord, especially those in this thread that believe they themselves are big brained but small peened
- make this PT a weekly thing that people can choose to do OR the 200 word prompt
organise team discord roles please god, remove roles from players who are not on the team anymore so roles mean something
- give dev team guy raises
- give dotts team guy raises
- give us more stuff to spend money on x2
- mandatory lobotomies for the chimps of the nsfl
- raise contract minimums
- take on that guys idea for perks or passes or let us buy pt passes
- let us buy ultimus PT passes even please god
- when we move to new site and if we have ability for badges, please GOD let the style be uniform. Like if i hover over one dudes HOF badge it should say HOF User, on another it should say the same not Hall of Fame User and be differing

There are a couple of rules that I would like changed in the ISFL. The first being is the free agency aspect of the game. Right now, the rules are kind of stale, or unfair and I wish for a more exciting period just like the NFL. There should be a time and period where players with expiring contracts can legally tamper with other teams to try to sign up with a team. I think around the end of the trade deadline would be a good timeline. It'll give teams options to explore and make their perspective teams a whole lot better. This would also clear up draft needs by the time teams have to draft. In addition, players could earn more money by maximizing their contracts and it would help shorten the gap between the ultra rich and super poor. Another rule that I'd like to seen change but has been voted on is setting term limits for DSFL Gm's. I think 2 seasons as a Gm should be enough to get players foot in the door for opportunities in the ISFL. This will help users learn how the sim works, how the league works and overall expand the potential GM pool for the entire league in case mishaps happen for one of the teams.

You ask about a change and I would have to say that there would be a list of things. Recently I had heard about some people in higher up positions got caught in a chat scandal where they were talking trash about others. How about I would make it so those that actually did that would be held accountable. The higher ups should not be above the rules and shouldn't be above anybody at all. I say that you guys should make it that this should never happen again. Quite frankly it's appalling that this was allowed to happen without people's jobs being replaced. I get it, they are required around the league and their dedication is good for the league but so is the fact people shouldn't be trashed. No one should have to be shit talked on a simulation league at all, I have said some stuff before but the higher ups are supposed to set examples. So I'd change those who talked shit and I would have them replaced with people who wouldn't do that sort of thing. I am not doing this for TPE either as I don't have a player in the league. I am just doing this because I feel I need to express my side of things.

I started my sim league career in the PBE, after having played OOTP for quite awhile. This set me up well, because it was really easy to enjoy the product of it all. I got the part that I found the least confusing, the stats and the baseball, really quickly. I just joined the ISFL, so I still have not adjusted completely yet. The streams are a touch inaccessible because of the simulation system it has got and the index can be hard to understand. Here is the thing: that has got nothing to do with the ISFL. It is just that the PBE is super lucky in that sense. None of that is super important to change until a better alternative comes. What I want can be boiled down to one word, and it is something that keeps damn near every person in the person rising up in the morning to get something done. I want validation. Pls. Being a FS is not really a stat heavy spot, and all the stats in the index are counting stats. Aside from having three sacks and two forced fumbles, which is pretty sweet to be fair, I really don’t know how I am doing. This draft process has been nice because a lot of people I have talked to talk to my like I have already been drafted by em, so I’ll probably go pretty early in the draft, but how is Button doing. In the PBE, I know when I suck or am good. You don’t need to know to much about baseball to figure that out. Here, and maybe it is because im on the defensive side of things, I have got no clue my guy. They should make a quarterback rating for each position. Again, not something that the ISFL desperately needs to change but please, please. Give me a playoff interception. It would make my season.

So, I am not going to lie and say I read all the changes that are happening to the league. I did however skimmed through them and liked what I saw. As far as the whole Neo-Nazi thing, I had no idea that even happened and that is nuts and hopefully for sure what is being put into place prevents that from ever happening again. I like the new name, just like the abbreviation of the other one a little better.

I love that the site is being moved to a better build and custom website to better features and integrated elements. I for one am not a huge fan of the current site and build. There are several things that I do not like and that SHL site has and makes it super easy. First off, I do not like the copying of links into your update page. There is one extra step and kind of lame how you must enter it in. The other thing that I do not like that SHL has is being able to see your past posts, or someone else past post. I know if you went into mobile mode you can see them but cannot tap on them. So, if this gets easier, I am all for it.

I cannot wait for the trading cards! I am super stoked and had this idea I pitched to someone in the SHL, but we determined it is kind of hard thing to accomplish without a team.

So I've been thinking about some of the rules and sim balance changes I made over the seasons and I think it's time to tweak one of them. One of the things we did is change the yardage sliders for pass yards and rush yards. The goal was to make running backs and rushing attacks more important. I'd argue it worked and worked well and we have very balanced teams now,. However I think we should still adjust it again just to make sure we keep everything looking balanced. In my opinion passing yards are a little underwhelming and we should just bump up the passing yard slider a tiny notch. Just one click (I think it was negative 4 clicks before)) but maybe 2 clicks could work also. Obviously running tests to make sure it makes sense is a good idea. But yeah I think it would help a little bit with offenses staying balanced and making sense. Besides that I really think most other changes look pretty good so far. Maybe revisit some DL weight limits to see if we can boost sacks for the big boys? With as many player OL as we have now the DEs might need some love to help balance that aspect of it out. Again would need testing and such but it's a gut feeling.

I joined this league in Feb 2019. It’s now been more than a year. I can’t think of any pressing issues to fix. The league is now moving to another forum which I guess is a pressing matter for some reason. I don’t really get it. I’m not looking forward to how it might mess with the bbcodes and stuff. I don’t want my sigs wrecked like they were in SHL, the worst sim league I’ve ever played in. Overall, the NSFL is a great league but I wish they’d have an even mix of Trivia and Predictions for next season. Predictions were sometimes hard to keep up with and now, any joe shmoe can be a max earner with hardly any effort. I find that ridiculous. This league should be earned not given, and given losers an opportunity to be hall of famers is not my idea of a great league. Also, I think the wiki team should have more members. The NSFL is a great league but has a tougher time keeping history cause our index is inaccurate and off. I wish there was a better way to keep track of our history automatically instead of manually which takes quite a long time. Thank you for reading (?).

I believe that change on the whole is good. That being said, I did not know that the recent league name change came about due to the misconstruing of the initial acronym. With that also being said, I do believe there should be a few relatively minor changes that I think should be fixed. The main change that I think should be fixed is the navigation interface on this main website. I do like the layout and aesthetic of the current website. However, I believe that the navigation on this website can be improved a bit as sometimes, it can be confusing on where to find forums to post content and updates such as the point tasks and the update pages. I believe that there should be a more fluid navigation system that allows for not only better navigation of the website but also allows for less clutter throughout the website. In addition, I believe the messaging system on this website can improve a bit too in regards to alerts and such. I believe that the alerts for notifications can be bigger and more noticeable, thus allowing people and players to more readily and able receive notifications regarding their own players.
