[1350-ish words. Ready to be graded.]
God, this is a long post and a little weird for me to be doing to be brutally honest. Probably going to be a bit of a clusterfuck so I apologise but at least I will get dank money for this! I ain't been in sim leagues all that long with Jon Forty-One being my very first cultist in Feb 2019 so these type of posts are new to me like regression here was overall.
I see a lot of people do these posts and I usually feel sad that the league's losing an amazing player or meme player and for mine I just feel like wanting to get it over with.
Basically I am going to be retiring Laszlo Forty-Two now. I do not really know what to say. If you are on the Yellow knife Wraiths team I can only continue to say I am sorry. It is not really a secret I have been inactive all season wanting a break and more so now I just want a fresh start. Should have done this quite a while back but I did not want the work to go to waste. Catch 22 really.
I made sure to give the Wraiths the corpse of Laszlo for this upcoming season cause I do not want to be a total dick and a human Offensive Liner can be very useful. Hopefully gives you a bit of time to invest in the future Offensive line draftees to replace me when needed. I want to say fucking thank you for everything though. The active as fuck locker room is a great place and I am really happy I was able to help break the Providence Crabs final curse and yours in the same season.
I know in the past a lot of human Offensive Line players get bored the position but I genuinely have had way more fun watching Laszlo's pancake counter go up than anything I did or attempted to do as a Wide Receiver. The Colorado Yeti should not take that as a passive aggressive comment to them cause even if we had a full total points earned QB at the start and the Laz was WR1 I do not really think I would enjoy it as much as I did Oline. I could happily play as an Offensive Linesmen in a future recreate but I just need a fresh restart and I really want to try a defending player.
I am pretty good in the Super Casual league ran by TLK so why not attempt it here but in either safety or CB position for fun.
But yeah, I have to thank Cal for helping me make Lazzy into a pretty bullshit Offensive Lineman overall. He will be a hall of famer for sure and I am just glad he was so welcoming. OL is a great fucking position and do not let anyone tell you otherwise. The up and coming players are going to be god damn great and I am glad I got to show them what a high TPE OLine player can do for offense.
I will say thank you to Bwest as well. He was always a bro to me and helped me out and was a hell of a Wide Receiver for the Colorado Yeti. As for the actual Colorado Yeti. If I am 100% genuine...I am fine with all of you now. Mainly indifference. The song Somebody I Used to Know by Gotye springs to mind but luckily I fucking love that song. Real banger. The bridge between us is most likely burned forever which ain't ever nice for either the team or player but it will be one of those things. I am glad you drafted me and I am glad I helped improve things from the days of the toilet bowl days. Sucks we never went deep but at the end of it all we both got 1 Ulitmus title so it really is a win-win for both sides. Both beat each other in the conference finals so yeah. Good luck to you all next season.
Thank you to Yellowknife. I mentioned them once before but I am a messy writer. Those 2 General Managers are great guys and I am grateful they let me be a part of a great team (And they let me accomplish my NSFL dream of seeing Arnie on the banner at the top of the forum.) Everyone is great and you deserve the trophy guys. I may not have been on the team for the other finals losses but as a Providence Crab I make up those feelings elsewhere til this season.
Laszlo finishes with nothing of note to be honest. I helped Tijuana Luchadores dick everyone in the Development Dimulation Football League and we won an Ulitmus. I did a bit of scouting the season after for them too. My Wide Receiver career had nothing of note nor will ever be remembered past 1 pro-bowl appearance in my last Wide Receiver season finishing like 4th or 5th best overall. Offensive Line I won OLOTY with the 6th or 7th highest ever pancake tally and helped make Offensive Liners get into the pro bowl. I did also finish the highest this season but was inactive so Buckley 100% deserves it. I kinda like only ever giving up 1 total sack though. I think the proudest match I have ever done is the Ultimus final where Lazzy got 13 pancakes. Really feels good to know I had to great play-off game at least. That is about it though. Not Hall of Fame worthy as I was not selfish enough and never really shining. Oh I made Team World, that is quite nice too.
There are a lot of you I love in sim leagues and I always get the big sad when I do not get mentioned but that is cause I am a small fish in a big pond so excluding that weird dude in the discord I have to say I love you all and am looking forward to making my next dude. I will publicly thank myself though. Mainly for putting up with myself and constantly seeing that twat in the mirror constantly.
So basically with all that garbage stated what is next? Like I said earlier I like playing Defensive Line in Super Casual. I am literally addicted to sacking the QB and makes their lives a miserable mess. So I do not want to play Dline cause playing the same positions is rather boring to me I am thinking about gunning a CB or Safety Hall of Fame career. Like really fucking go for it and help whatever team wants me to fuck up the rest of the league. I personally think this could be rather fun since I only need to do Tight End, CB and FS positions in sim leagues now.
But before I recreate I will be basically be taking a break. Probably just for this upcoming season and barely do anything. Maybe write a few joke medias or fake hype to my next player but most importantly chilling and relaxing so I can enjoy this league again like I did when I first saw San Jose vs Philly final about a year ago. Will probably make my next dude at the best possible time/whatever week I want to join or remake in. Letting everyone know this just so every team is on equal footing cause I am flexible as of now.
