Well I wish I could be doinig this point task about myself, for not only me but for my fantasy owners as well, but unfortunately this season didn't exactly pan out production wise for my player. Looking at the Outlaws, there is one player that stands out as someone who could win an award this season, and that is Saba Donut, our top wide receiver, for the wide receiver of the year of course. Saba has more than 900 yards so far this season, 916 to be exact, which is tied with the second place receiver Deondre Thomas-Fox. The thing that sets Saba apart from Deondre Thomas-Fox is the touchdowns stat, which Saba currently leads by one. The nearest player to Saba that has more touchdowns than him is James Angler, the tight end for the Sarasota Sailfish. He currently sits at 820 yards and six touchdowns. I would choose Saba over Angler, because ~~I am a lmapping homer~~ In my opinion the 96 yard difference is better than the one touchdown difference. Another player I think might have a chance to win an award this season is Jay Cue. Cue is second place in yards through the air, however this is quite a large margin, almost 300 yards behind Dexter Banks II. He has also thrown two fewer touchdowns than Banks, so Cue will need to be in top form for the second half of the season if he wants to compete with the Sarasota QB.

Coming in at over three-hundred attempts across the season thus far, Easton Cole isn't shy about putting the ball into the air. While he is technically about sixty attempts behind the leader in attempted passes on the season (Dexter Banks II), it's not really that far off - a game or two, maybe? But what I am getting at, the part that sets Easton Cole apart from the pack is his phenomenal quarterback rating, which is an indicator of impressive numbers. The first statistic to discuss is Cole's third-place completion percentage, at 59.2%. That's what you want in a quarterback as a foundation - them landing the ball in their target's hands more than half the time. This allows for more directed, specific game-planning. In addition to Cole's superb completion rating, his efficiency is indicated in his top-of-the-charts quarterback rating (QBR). As I said earlier, this is a representation of positive performance, specifically in the touchdown-to-interception ratio. In this case, Cole has ten touchdowns on the year, thus far, coupled with only 3 interceptions. He is keeping the ball safe, yet managing to put up double digit touchdowns to keep up with other teams. This, to me, is a solid indicator of someone who deserves league-wide recognition.

I think I've got a pretty good shot at getting Defensive Rookie of the Year considerations. I know Defensive Tackle isn't the sexiest position stat-wise, but my player has been making life for quarterbacks pretty rough. Halfway through the season, my player has 3 sacks. It doesn't sound like a lot, but that's 12th among DTs. In tackles, my player is 8th among fellow DTs at 30. There's a ton of players hovering around 30-35 tackles, so my player is keeping pace pretty well. He's currently fourth overall in the league in tackles, which puts him at first among corners. I think he's got consideration for Cornerback of the Year, even if he doesn't have the "sexy" stats like interceptions or touchdowns. We've had a pretty rough season but he's been a highlight for us. One player on our team that could make a case for the "big one" is Mike Hockhertz. As a linebacker, he leads the league in tackles. But what really stands out is his hands and speed. My guy has a PICK SIX. He gets after the ball too, posting three pass deflections. I don't see any holes in his game other than perhaps sacks. But sacks are a stat more indicative of defenders playing up on the line. Overall, our defense has individual players that have put up great individual numbers even if it hasn't translated to team success.

Franklin Armstrong is not having one of his best seasons so far that’s for sure. He is nearing the end of his career and the team is struggling to make the playoffs as of now with a 5-5 record, with 3 teams currently 6-4 in the conference. Armstrong is trying to bring his team back to the playoffs one last time for another shot at the Ultimus. He is currently throwing 59%, with 2516 yards, 13 TDs and 8 INTs. Overall he has an 83.8 passer rating. He also has another 228 yards on the ground with 2 TD carries. It remains to be seen if he can manage to win some more awards on his way out the door but he can try. He would probably nominate Nakamura on his team who currently had 747 rushing yards and 6 TDs on the ground. He’s certainly getting a lot of carries and the hope is that he can get the rushing title from Hanyandi. Hanyandi is currently about 200 yards above the competition already as well as having a really good Y/A. It’ll take a lot from Nakamura to steal the rushing title from the favorite, Hanyandi. But overall the main goal is to get the Orange County Otters their 9th total Ultimus trophy.

Let us have a discussion about the current Defensive Rookie of the Year race in the ISFL, and why Greedy Sly is in my opinion the front runner for the award. Currently Greedly leads all rookies with an impressive 78 tackles over the first 10 games of the season. Likewise, he boasts an impressive 7 passes defended which highlights his prowess to make plays on the ball whilst it’s still in the air. Filling up the stat sheet across the board, he also has a TFL, a FF, and an interception on the season. While it’s fair to say you might like to see the interceptions number crank up a bit over the next six weeks, its safe to say on the whole the first year safety has had an excellent season with the tied for first Colorado Yeti defensive side. It has become trendy in past years to downgrade a player's chances at an award if they play out of the nickel back position, but that seems uncalled for in my opinion. Greedy has done everything you could ask of a rookie in the league, and all signs point that there's more to come from the young safety prospect. Look forward to seeing his name called come awards time in the off season, and hopefully for Ultimus MVP.

The DSFL kicker of the year should and will be, once again, Melvin Murder-Moose. I am more than certain of this, so certain that I am saying this without having checked their stats yet. I am positive, but let’s take a look anyway so I can prove that I am right. So right that pppaul317 should win most right-est in the dsfl award, unless that’s like a political thing. Most correct-est, that’s better. Melvin Murder-Moose leads the league in extra points made with 19, 2 more than the next highest. That, of course, comes with having the most extra points attempted, probably because the Seawolves are super cool and score like, a lot of touchdowns. This leaves mr. Murder-Moose with a 90.5 extra point percentage which is pretty solid, aside from other kickers performances. Murder-Moose has struggled a bit more on the field goal side of things with 8 goals out of 12 attempts, putting them roughly in the middle of the pack. They have also struggled a bit with distance, having missed a few from far away. They are, also, the coolest kicker around. All the field goal troubles do not concern me. First of all, because the Norfolk Seawolves are so tight and cool the only times they don’t score a touchdown is when there is a lot of pressure so that adds a lot of difficulty and leads to fewer attempts. Also, who cares about field goals when you can touch down and do extra point. It’s like, 4 more points, especially when you’ve got some as ol’ Melvin there to get that last bit. Lastly, Melvin is cool and on the coolest team so there is no way that we don’t see some regression to the mean, the mean being Melvin Murder-Moose Feasting on fieldgoals.
