Defensive Line Standouts: Week 4
Welcome to week 4 of our weekly look at defensive line performances across the league. While week 3 had some absolutely monstrous performances, week 4 seems to have calmed down a tad. The Outlaws have shown that they have, arguably, the best defensive line in the league, anchored on the ends by Tuck and Dam, with the Legion close on their heels, riding on the massive backs of their unstoppable defensive tackle duo, Ramrio and Cox. Week 4 is showing the elite linemen distancing themselves from the rest of the league. Enough chit chat… Let’s begin!
Defensive End Top Performers
D. Dam
($$$) 5 TCK, 2 TFL, 2 SCK
Dam took over as torch-bearer for the Outlaws defensive line this week, coming through in a big way with 5 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, and a pair of sacks. Dam may play second fiddle to Tuck most week, he has shown he has more than enough talent to stand on his own by making this list e out of 4 weeks.
K. Hendrix
($$$) 3 TCK, 2 SCK
After a bit of a down week (against the best O-Line in the league, the San Jose SaberCats), Kendrix posted yet another multi-sack game, his third of the season. Kendrix currently sits at 6 sacks, second most of any defensive end in the league. He’s the heart and soul of the Hawks defensive line.
J. Tuck
($$$) 3 TCK, 2 SCK
Also making his third appearance on this list, Tuck actually posted his worst game of the season since week 1, yet still managed to end up on here. Let that sink in. He’s been playing out of his mind recently and has recorded 8 sacks in the last 3 weeks.
Other Top Performers
A. Tomlinson
($$) 3 TCK, 1 TFL, 1 SCK, 1 safety
J. Spearhead
($$) 4 TCK, 2 TFL
B. Blade
($$) 3 TCK, 1 SCK
F. Wozy
($$$) 3 TCK, 1 SCK
This week really showed off the talent difference between S1 and S2 players as only one player listed above is an S2 rookie. Interesting to note, every player listed above has appeared here at least twice, with four of the seven making it on three times.
Defensive Tackle Top Performers
V. Cox
($$$$) 6 TCK, 1 SCK
Making his fourth appearance on the list, Cox once again stood out from the pack with his 6 tackles and 1 sack performance. Despite his impressive season so far, Cox has generally taken a back seat to Ramrio when it comes to recognition, but deserves just as much as his teammate.
M. Ramrio
($$$$) 5 TCK, 1 SCK
Like his teammate above, Ramrio is also making his fourth appearance here. With 5 tackles and 1 sack, Ramrio leads all defensive tackles in the NSFL in both tackles (22) and sacks (6). This tag team of Ramrio and Cox is truly a nightmare.
G. Taylor
($) 9 TCK
Taylor is making his first appearance on the list, and he clearly earned it. With 9 tackles, Taylor absolutely controlled the interior line and made it tough sledding for the Hawks to get any decent run game up the middle.
Other Top Performers
B. Bjornsson
($$) 6 TCK, 1 TFL
B. Bot
($$) 5 TCK, 1 TFL
L. Pierce
($$$) 2 TCK, 1 SCK
Bjornsson, Bot, and Pierce have all appeared here multiple times now, with Pierce making it his third. While Pierce is clearly benefitting from the immense pressure on the outside, he is standing tall on his own merits.

Arizona’s defensive ends give opposing offensive lines absolute fits and really open it up for pressure up the middle from their defensive tackles. The Outlaws have shown, once again, that they have the top defensive line in the NSFL. The Legion, on the other hand, have taken a different approach and have made it their mission to punish teams in the middle. With a little help on the edges, the Legion line could be unstoppable. San Jose was the only team to not have a player appear on our list this week. Please feel free to share your thoughts and comments below!
