Training camp is always a fun way to regroup with some teammates you might not have seen since the end of the previous season. This season's training camp in particular held a different air about it, as it was the longest time in Domine's career that he had been away from his teammates. For the Chicago Butchers it was the first time in four seasons that they would miss the playoffs, adding an additional couple of weeks to the team's offseason. The team had not added any new faces, but the departure of wide receiver Joshua Campbell to the San Jose Sabercats was a notable change in the atmosphere. As the players scattered around the field to stretch and perform their respective drills, Domine surveyed the scene. The star CB Shields, the surefire Hall-of-Famer Rubbe, the fan favorite Gelbman--they had all announced that this season would be their last one playing professional football. Other key players--Von Hayes, O'Donnell, Firestorm-Fjord--would likely not be far behind them. Domine sat squarely between the team's aging veteran core and the new up-and-coming talent, and he realized that there would likely come a time when not a single player remained on the team from when he was drafted. Even though he had just reached the prime of his career, Domine felt like an old veteran.

Noah Johns is ready for his 2nd season of action on the Portland Pythons and Training Camp has come and gone like a passing car, very quick. It was fun in training camp seeing all the guys again. Noah knows what coaches expect from him and he showed them that he still has what he has and will be ready to have another great season for the team. The team looks even better than before actually so I won't be surprised if we make it far in the playoffs. I am really excited to just get playing again because offseason can be boring without Football y'know? So getting back on that field on Tuesday will be a nice thing to do since it's been gone for awhile. And just go out there and have some fun in preseason games because the real test is lurking after those. Now with that being said Noah went out with the team for a nice dinner after the last Training Camp practice and ate a really nice dinner. Man this might be the season you may never know. The chemistry is there and so is the team it's just all about the execuution that comes along with it.
While Sir Peter Jackson was drafted to the New Orleans Second Line in the draft he will be playing for the Tijuana Luchadores this season. Training camp for the Luchadores was great. A lot of familiar faces from the team that got to the Ultimini last season. Really hoping that this year we can make it back to the Ultimini and win it all this time. We still have our phenomenal quarterback Invisible and we just got future ISFL linebacker star Sherriff Woody who is gonna be in the running for defensive rookie of the year. Sir Peter won both Cornerback of the Year and Defensive Rookie of the Year last season for his efforts and hopefully he can have another similar performance this season.
As for NOLA well I think this will definitely be a better season than last season. On the offensive side we still have our amazing quarterback Ben Slothlisberger and his favorite target Ed Barker at WR. We also have Brock Bodenhamer who will play opposite of Barker this year. Adam Spencer is now going to be our starting TE and I imagine great things for him this year. We also have high hopes that rookie WR Quinton Crash will be able to come in and make an impact from the slot. Mike Rotchburns will be our lead RB this year and behind him will be rookie Remus Roman. That duo will be running behind a stout offensive line lead by Adam Mellott and Cade Williams. I have high hopes for our offense this year. On the defensive side of the ball our defensive line is continually getting better with Medicinal Toblerone, Azarius Ranger, and Lebong Simwell lead the charge there. Our LB corp is lead by Vincent Jones and Busch Light and should be formidable again. Our secondary is always our crown jewel of our defense and is lead by Andrew Witten and Mason Blaylock. Dorothy Zbornak looks to have another awesome season at CB. ![]() ![]() [OPTION]Height: 6'1"

Training camp is such a magical time for players in the ISFL. After a full off-season, most everyone is excited to get back into the swing of things, and the players for the Philadelphia Liberty are no different. After yet another season of rebuilding, and another season under .500, the team finally feels like the pieces are coming together. They are now entering their fourth season under the guidance of General Managers Lip Chap and Lip Stashe, and while the duo has been heralded for the roster moves they've made in their short tenure, they are yet to see the product come together on the field.
One player that everyone within the organization and on the outside has an eye on this season is second year Quarterback Ryan Negs ( @negs ). After what most would call a disappointing rookie season in which many experts said he just looked unprepared for the speed of the ISFL game, Negs has put in numerous hours with famed Quarterbacks Coach Rich Gizzlebaum, and the player we saw at start of Season 28 and the player we saw at training camp were almost completely different, as we saw in preseason where the Liberty decided to let Negs sling it 153 times in four games. He was extremely efficient, completing 106 of those attempts (69.3%) and tossed 8 touchdowns versus 0 interceptions during preseason. "This team goes as far as Ryan takes us this season," Head Coach Man Summers told reporters. "Last season was a bit of a shock for him I think, but this season he's not going to be surprised." ![]() ![]()
What an offseason! This was a unique one for me as it was my first offseason seeing things from the team side of things. No longer being a rookie made this a super interesting draft to watch. I knew our chemistry from last season and some of the gaps we needed to fill. Being able to follow the draft with prospects I have seen in and out of the locker rooms and being able to root for (or against) other DSFL picks was a different, more involved feeling.
The best part of this offseason was the textbook draft put on by Minnesota and the war room team. One thing seemed to be clear. Minn was going to get the best players out there. This didn’t always line up with what the team needed but Minn drafted these players knowing that they are versatile and we’d be able to try them out at different positions finding the best fit for these rookies and our team. Find that athletes and make them fit in our system. Minnesota is returning a lot of talent to season 29 and for us to be able to go out and get top notch players and fill our needs fills the locker room with excitement. Ducks have a high expectation for this season! #quackattack ![]() ![]()
Obviously, with a win in last season’s Ultimus, the Yellowknife Wraiths ended the year on a high note. That doesn’t mean, however, that we just showed up all willy nilly to camp with no plan whatsoever. Nope, general managers Fly and PMoney must have spent all offseason devising up new and innovative ways to make the players wonder if they should ask for a trade because camp so far has been grueling and definitely not a cakewalk. After cornerback Sulaiman Kazi showed up to the first practice late (typical diva behavior for him) the whole team had to stay doing physical conditioning drills late into the night. Also, no training camps in balmy, tropical locales for the Wraiths, as our camp is always held on the frozen tundras outside Yellowknife. New rookie running back Jay Cue, Jr., looks great as expected from a first round pick. He and linebacker Big Slammu were named Team Captains of the offense and defense, respectively. As far as the playbook goes, a few new tricks have been added, but if something works, why would you change it? The coaches did relent a bit later on into the camp, and treated the players to a nice dinner out on the town as a treat for our championship win. In all, this season’s camp did an excellent job of preparing the team for another run at a ring.
