Sitting at 2-2 (now 3-2) through a quarter of the season, the Berlin Fire Salamanders are due for a winning streak. This team is too loaded to believe that they'll hover around .500 this season. I'm expecting 11+ wins out of them this season and another year atop the NSFC. However, I do have to say that the NSFC has shown up this season. Sarasota is balling, as expected, but Colorado and Yellowknife are both playing better than expected, and there is no longer a gimme win in this division with Philly and Baltimore shaping into much better teams and Chicago playing much better than their record indicates. I initially thought Berlin's roster was just too good to be beaten more than a time or two this season, it looks like I underestimated the power of opposing rosters in my excitement to be surrounded by the best team I've played with. I still think that as far as bounce backs are concerned, Berlin will go on a hot stretch here in the middle of the season and sit atop the NSFC by week 10. One other team due for a bounce back is the Ultimus runner ups from last season in Austin. That team is too good to hover at .200, expect them to at least be a .500 team by the end of the season. All that to say, this is the deepest and most talented that I've ever seen the ISFL be top to bottom. Expansion time, anyone?
