(S29) PT 3 - Teammates

I was very tempted to select myself, Mr. Honky Tonk Haywood, as the standout Philly player to spotlight for this write up.  But I’m too humble for that.  Even though Haywood is currently tied for 1st in total tackles amongst defensive tackles and is also ranked sixth across the league with five tackles for a loss, it wouldn’t be fair to use this time for that.  Instead, I’d like to take a moment to highlight the play of rookie sensation, Xavier Walls.  I’m sure I wont be the only Philly player showcasing Walls in their article – in part due to the underachieving nature of the majority of our players so far – but also due to the fact that Walls has been a revelation through half the season.  It’s hard enough to come in to the ISFL and make a dent as a rookie, nevermind sitting in a tie for 3rd in total tackles, tied for 8th in tackles for a loss, tied-7th in interceptions, and tied-10th for passes defensed.  I mean the guy is everywhere.  He’s the only rookie in the top 50 for total tackles – and again he’s sitting there with the third highest total.  It remains to be seen if Walls has piqued, but even if he comes back down to earth in the near future, he’ll still finish the season with one of the more impressive rookie linebacker performances in recent memory.

In Berlin, I've got to choose the man, the legend Cmon Skiuuup @Air Crou. This man has been a monster so far this season, with 596 yards and 6 TDs already less than halfway through the year. There's not many WRs who can compete with that production, and the combination of him, Ty Hood, Achtfunf and our TE Boyd has got to be giving opposing defenses nightmares! However, it's not only been on the field that he's been a force, but in the locker room in Berlin Air Crou has emerged as a leader and a big time celebrator of our early successes. He's been wildly excited about his own start, but also about his teammates who are killing it so far this year, and that's always a fun way to spend the season. Looking forward to seeing what the second half of the year has in store for you as you "Crou"se (it's a pun. cruise...) to 1000+ yards and 10+ TDs. Keep flying high, Skiuuup!

Technically not my teammates right now, but I have to shout out the entire Second Line team. Ben Slothlisberger has been the fearless leader of this team at QB for many seasons now and he helped us get to two Ultimus games in a row, and hopefully another one this season. Mike Rotchburns has been a huge addition to this team, especially after we got so used to having both Forrest Gump and Marcella Toriki in the backfield for years. It is really hard to step into the role of taking over for such big names, but Rotchburns has done it admirably. Likewise with Remus Roman who was thrust into his position as the 2nd RB for the team sooner than expected and has done really well his rookie season. Next up is an appropriately huge shoutout for both Adam Mellott and Cade Williams our two human OL players. They are doing a great job at protecting our QB and opening lanes for the RBs. Another big shoutout for Adam Spencer who was willing to move over from WR to TE after our longtime future hall of fame TE Austin McCormick retired. That just leaves our WR corp lead by long time NOLA players Ed Barker and Brock Bodenhamer who have been stellar their entire careers and now up and coming future NOLA WR star Quenton Crash. I'm running out of time, but the entire defense is amazing and I hope we can setup the Medicinal Rangers for some more sacks in the future.

PT 29-2 (Teammates)

Madals birddogs are halfway through the season and taking a quick look at stats I would have to say that my teammate Ricky stanzi is leading the charge offensively for this team. stanzi and I share the same draft class and he is the only rookie starting quarterback in the DSLF this season. Currently he ranks fourth in the league in QB rating and even though he's in the bottom three when it comes to total passing yards he's number one in the league in touchdowns thrown with 9. with nine touchdowns this season and only two interceptions I think stanzi's absolutely killing it this season as a rookie. he's only going to get better and if he continues on the current pace by next season he could be a top quarterback candidate in the DSFL. it's also nice that he's in my draft class and we both share that here in Dallas so I'm going to keep doing my best on the defensive side of the ball cause I know stanzie will keep slinging that rock around the yard and hip in our offense contend for the season. Before we log off this PT test I must also mention that he leads the league in the longest thrown touchdown pass at 85 yards. I mean this kid is absolutely killing it. Also final tidbit. Stanzie is named after a great Iowa QB from a few years ago that was drafted by my favorite NFL Team the Kansas City chiefs. So that’s cool.

Using S29 PT Pass #2 of 4 from Charity Perks/Auctions

The London Royals have a different type of situation they are going through right now. They have a lot of first year players on their roster, especially on offense. There are so many players on this team that could be considered stand outs, and whom can be looked at for leadership and advice. I could talk about the players everyone already knows. You got Lucid Dreams, Buffalo Hunter, Sam Squanch,  and your Savior Dawkins, and even Bradley Welch can be included. He has a way of just getting teammates involved.
The player I want to talk about today is a player whom you don’t realy see talk very much. She is very easily one of the best players, not only in the locker room but in the league. Im talking about DSFL league leading rush Kiara Tenoh. She doesn’t brag about anything, as a matter of fact she rarely talks. She just goes out and does her thing every game day. Currently shes on pace to break the rushing record and the rushing TD record, in her first year in the DSFL. She has a chance to do something that has never been done in the DSFL and that’s rush for 2000 yards. Through 4 games she has over 500 yards and leads all backs in scores, and that doesn’t include her pass catching numbers. She deserves a lot more attention than what she has garnered already, and if ISFL GMs were smart, they will begin to take notice of this player. I see great things in the future for her, and for all these London players. For now, however we are going to focus on this season and making things happen for our fans. If you haven’t clued in to any of our games, you might want to. Kiara is changing the game. I only passed 11 times last game because of the way she has changed the games for us. Just remember the name Kiara Tenoh because by seasons end, she will have made a name for herself.

For the Dallas Birddogs I have to go with rookie Quarterback Ricky Stanzi. Despite being a rookie, Stanzi has put up good numbers, while also having a great Touchdown to interception ratio. In 4 games, Stanzi has 838 yards, a 52.4% percent completion rate, 9 touchdowns, and only 2 interceptions. While these aren't "standout" statistics, you have to consider these numbers as a rookie. Not to mention, Dallas has a ton of starter rookies this season. Dallas has 2 rookie runningbacks, and 1 rookie WR. So, Stanzi is putting these numbers up while having a mostly rookie offense, which to me, makes this even more impressive. I am excited to see what he can for the rest of these games. I believe in this QB, and I think he very well has the potential to blossom into a hall of fame quarterback. Also, I have to shout-out the best kicker in the league (Dallas Dole) for being constantly active in the Dallas LR. He always says good morning and has conversations with us daily. I really appreciate his presence there, even if he's technically not on our team anymore. Dole always seems to be able to hold a conversation and usually is just in a bright, cheery mood.

A teammate who I can talk about for this season is Dustin Parmelee. It might sound like a weird choice to make considering how he’s got the least passing attempts, pass completions, and passing yards in the league, but there’s other interesting things about him. While he has a low amount of completions, yards, and attempts, it also means that he has a very high completion percentage. He’s also third in passing touchdowns. I feel kind of bad when I see my rushing numbers because I know that it takes the ball away from Dustin, but he’s actually been really nice to me. Even though it’s a bit weird, he messages me every week before our games and tells me how we’re gonna be really good and how much he enjoys having me as a teammate. I’m not very good at talking to people, so it makes me feel really good to have a teammate and a team that wants me around. While I don’t really want to stop running the ball if it’s helping us win, I would like to see Dustin get to pass more throughout the season so the size of his stats can reflect the size of his heart. And maybe I can even pass the ball to him!

Half way through the season and you can already tell it's going to be a wild ride to the finish. New Orleans is among the teams in the ASFC that will be in contention for the final playoff spot. You know it's going to be even more crazy when a tie has happened too, making things even messier. For New Orleans, it feels slightly difficult to pick out individual performers to this point. Defensively, we have had been roughly middle of the pack with some areas above average and other areas below. Key takeaways and timely stops have lead to some close wins. Offensively, Slothlisberger still looks like the star of the offense. A lot of credit should go to Adam Mellott and Cade Williams for anchoring our offensive line. It's been quite a while since NOLA was one of if not the most dominant O-Lines, so it's nice seeing two high quality players in that role for the team again. I would like to give a shout out to to the user @MobiausGrander though. That guy is always a hype machine. I've come across a lot of passionate users who would give everything for their team, but Mobiaus has to be among the best. He has bleed NOLA colors since day one and believes in our team with everything he has. Thank you for being a constant spark plug for every season.

Some of my defensive teammates have really stood out so far in the season, especially my fellow edge rusher Etrigan The Slayer. He also had 2 strip sacks like me and 5 sacks total, making the duo of Baltimore edge rushers quite fearsome. Slayer has always been a good player but regressed somewhat last season, but he seems to be at full force this season, and both him and I are giving opposing QBs hell, as we already have 10 sacks combined, 8 TFLs and 4 forced fumbles in just 7 games. On the back end, my teammate Jeremiah Zelos is having a great season so far, with 4 sacks, a forced fumble, 2 TFLs, 2 INTs, 5 PDs and a defensive touchdown. Zelos gives a game changing play every single game and has come up time and time again with clutch plays to solidify the secondary while the pass rush rears its head. Chet Larson is still a tackle machine, good for 4th in the league in tackles, and remains one of the best MLB in the league right now. On the offensive side of the ball, Preston Parker is playing especially well for a new WR. His average YPC shows his efficiency and his TD count proves his usefulness in the redzone.
