I don't tend to spend time in my DSFL locker room at this point for a multitude of reasons. Thankfully, I've had some great interactions with people in the locker room for my ISFL team, the Honolulu Hahalua. They're all amazing people, but I want to specifically highlight 82. This is not someone who I had many if any interactions with before being drafted to the Hahalua, but this dude is a real star. My life can get very hectic, and he's always been willing to offer a helping hand to make sure I don't miss anything. From helping me go through things to claim for my update, to reminding me to actually submit my point task on time, I'd probably be pretty far behind my class leader without 82 in my corner ready to help out. Also, he's provided me with the most hilarious pocket text I have received in my life time, which is honestly just icing on the cake. It's an honor to get to be on the same team as this amazing human who goes out of his way to help with testing, player development, and keeping a positive outlook in our team conversations. Thank you for being a stellar human being, and I can't wait to actually take the field with you soon!

Gotta go with my man Jamar Lackson, currently sporting a very elite 1337 TPE, the man is as humble as they come. He should honestly be in the running for RBotY with his talent, but I've never see him pipe up in terms of needing more touches or anything like that. Even in situations where everybody in the stadium felt he should be getting the ball, he does what the playcall asks him to do. A real blue collar, lunch pail kinda guy. He's got a lot of heart and all the intangibles.

When we win, he never attributes the win to himself, even if he was the game's MVP. When we lose, he checks on us all and gets our heads right back into practice for our next opponents. Also, he's a runningback, so he's taking the majority of abuse on our team. Man, I can never understand how anyone can play runningback. Props to you guys. Day in, day out of getting hit. He's the one guy in practice I never hit, that and our QB I suppose, but only because I can't.

But yeah Jamar Lackson is already a lock for the SJS Ring of Honor, but I think he's a Hall of Fame talent. If only his film could speak for that, but such is the way the dice falls sometimes.

The Philadelphia Liberty are currently sitting at 4-6, but now is not the time to talk about records. Now is the time to talk about how some of our rookies are absolutely blowing away the competition when compared to other rookies. First is C.J. Sonjack, he is currently tied for 5th in the league for passes defended with 20, as a rookie. Closest rookie CB to him has 3. Closest rookie regardless of position has 8, but this is a LB, and a member of Philadelphia. This player is Xavier Walls, who as a rookie is currently 3rd in the league for tackles with 71. Just 2 behind the league leader. Not only is he making his presence known with just tackles and passes defended, he also has 2 interceptions, 5 tackles for loss, and 3 sacks. The closest rookie to him in tackles has 50. He is also second among rookies in sacks, the rookie leader being another Philadelphia Liberty rookie, Romulus Roman. Romulus Roman leads all rookies in sacks with 4. He also has 4 passes defended, 31 tackles, and has forced one fumble. The Philadelphia Liberty rookies are not only leading among rookies in stats, they are dominating.

Well, when we talk about outstanding users/players, one person immediately comes to mind: Lucid Dreams. Not only does the man have an amazing 3 crowns on the team, he has been an integral part of the team on the field. Whether it's his 5 tackles, 3 tackle for loss performance in week 6, or really any of his amazing performances during this season, he has been simply amazing this season. I can definitely see him winning Defensive Rookie of the Year and multiple Pro Bowl appearances, perhaps even in the Hall of Fame at the end of his career. Many aspire to be like him, myself included. In the locker room, he's an amazing person, always active with input on any topic, large or small. Many can count on him in London to make us smile or lighten our burdens. Overall, man's simply amazeballs. There's not much to say, other than that I sincerely hope that Lucid keeps up this level of activity - because if he does, he's destined for some amazing stuff. Look out ISFL, here comes Lucid Dreams! Man Lucid, you keep on being you. You'll go far. Try out the PBE sometime if you aren't in it yet, k?

So far this season in the International Simulation Football League, my team - the New York Silverbacks have had a great first half. We are currently 7-3 and tied for the division lead with the Arizona Outlaws in the American Simulation Football Conference. For the Silverbacks, I honestly have to say Captain Rogers would be a great stand out teammate on the field. The silverbacks have the number 1 run offense in the league and that’s in large part due to Rogers’ performance on the field. They are averaging over 5 yards per carry, they currently have 781 yards on 152 carries, and 4 touchdowns. Rogers has been clutch in the field getting critical first downs and draining the clock late game when we have the lead. Another play I would love to give a shout-out to is Sam Howitzer, our QB. He’s on pace to shatter his season bests in passing yards, passing accuracy, and has already shattered his touchdown record of 15. Howitzer handled the run first offense well and when the offense went to pass dominant he has excelled and been dominant himself. Snyder and Kingston have certainly been his trusted options in the red zone with Speedman being the go-to early in drives. This team has such a high-powered offense.

It's another season in the International Simulation football league and Big Slammu was voted as the teams defensive captain. But in previous years it's been his senior, Douglas Quaid, long time Wraith linebacker. He's been a great tutor for Big Slammu and is considered a Yellowknife legend. He is one of only three defensive players in ISFL history to win the Defensive Player of the Game in the ISFL Ultimus Bowl game along with Lanzer Grevious and Hall of Famer Ian Bavitz. He is currently having a pretty great season, with about 7 sacks so far this season. Big Slammu has been struggling this year and has been dealing with frustration of having a not so great season. He has 3 sacks this year and he's been seen prowling the sideline in frustration. He's been seemingly chipped and double teamed at the line of scrimmage which has led to a real struggle for him to make plays in the backfield. This was supposed to be his breakout year and it's been hard for him to have to wait for next year for that to happen. Douglas has been in his ear giving him encouragement and been telling him to act the part of defensive captain. He's still trying to reign in that shark anger and without Douglas he might have been suspended by now.

Madison Hayes is a name that rings through the city of Chicago. She is going to be one of the best running backs in the ISFL. She will be helping Chicago win in no time. She is so fast when she gets that space to run. She also does not get scared to put her shoulder down and just try to run you over and trust me she will run you over. At practice she is running over the defense and it is so funny to see. Her stats this season have not been bad at all. She has 126 carries with 511 yards and two touchdowns, now the Chicago Butchers are struggling but it does not take away how good she is. Next season Chicago Butchers should be a whole lot better so next season look out for her to have an even BIGGER breakout season. The season before she was a rookie. She had 711 yards and 11 touchdowns, she was in my mind the best rookie out there. We all know my player was not even close to having those kinds of numbers in the receiving department. Mike Hunt is a sorry for nothing player that will not amount to anything, but Madison Hayes…. Future Hall Of Fame player.

Being on a team that is 1-8-1 and asked to highlight a bright spot is difficult at best. I am honestly too competitive to find a light in such a disappointing season. I feel like if I single one person out for being good in a tumultuous season, it will make everyone else look like the root of the epic suck train that is Season Twenty-Nine. Instead, I will opt to not highlight one person. As an alternative solution, I'd like to highlight the entire team. The entire Copperheads roster should be highlighted for sticking it out through such a rough season. In my 4 years in Austin, we missed the playoffs twice off traditional tiebreakers and a 5-way tie. We had a subpar season that preceded our miraculous run to the Ultimus last season. Then this trainwreck of a season smacked us in the face, and kept smacking us, and kept smacking us some more.

I have to give props to all of my Copperheads teammates that are still alive and active, which is over 75% of the current roster. The team could have easily imploded at this point, on the brink of being eliminated from the playoffs after Monday night, but almost all of the guys that have the TPE stocked up are still ticking. Over the years, the team has acquired formerly disgruntled players from similarly losing teams, but the morale of those players has remained higher than when they respectively decided to want out of their old situations.

The best guy in the locker room is Jango, and it is easy to say. The guy goes above and beyond, to make sure the gameball graphics are given out in a timely manner. The guy will even make you a sig to use in the forum, without even asking. And on top of that, he is active. The guy just talks. You will never see him shy away from a discussion if he is around. And he is a funny dude to be around. He knows when to be serious, and he knows when to crack a joke. It's the epitome of the ideal locker room presense. He just has that cool and easy-going vibe. And his player, Mario VonPebbles, is a freaking beast. He is not the player that appears in the statsheet, but if you pay close attention to the games, his presence in the line is noticeable. He never hesitates to get dirty. And when he gets near a quarterback, balls start flying around hectically. His QB pressure has led to many interceptions by his teammates. Sometimes, you need players to do the dirty work that goes unnoticed. Jango does just that. On or off the field. And I am really fucking proud to have him as my teammate!

Kai doesn't really know his teammates all that well, but let's talk about Kai himself. Already in his first game, he showed why he should have been taken seriously in the DSFL Draft and not left to hang on waivers for four weeks. Marshall kept it as a chip on his shoulder going into the season and worked to improve on his game. When he got the call from Norfolk, the young phenom receiver was ecstatic. Nevertheless, Marshall proved that he is a phenomenal wide receiver that will make some noise in the season.

When asked about the performance post-game, Marshall (with a thick Aussie accent) said: "I went out there with a chip on my shoulder and reminded myself that I shouldn't be here, right mate? The QB looked for me in clutch spots and I made the catch. And I was able to put 6 points on the board for my team. I think I did well, but this is only the beginning. I'm going to keep working and keep improving on my game and be the best player I can possibly be." It seems as this is just the start for the undrafted rookie phenom, with Norfolk News, I am Doug Williams.
