Bottom half: the Philadelphia Liberty finished with a record of ( 5 - 9 ) the problem they had this season and why they were unable to make the post season was lack of offensive support. They just have to overall be better through ought the season. The 2 WRs each scored 4 touch downs. They will need to double that next season so we can improve on scoringZ there is some defensive touch we need to add to the game as well. The point of football is to score and stop the other team from scoring. We had some trouble on the defensive end as well. They will be looking to add some actives in the next draft and comfortably develop them through the DSFL system. It won't be an easy process but as Philadelphias prospects develop this team can shape up into something big. Look for them to fight for a playoff spot next season


Bottom half part 2: the Las Vegas legion had a terrible first season. They hail married a lot of their draft picks in order to get certain players. None the less they are still a team with some strong prospects and need to improve on everything next season. They need to look beyond this season head into the future. As their prospects continue to develop they will be a strong team moving forward if they can buckle down and win at the drafting table. Look for them to finish better than last season

Playoff review: the ball was kicked The it was thrown and in the end the otters got rekt. The hawks got rekt. Everyone who didn't make the playoffs got rekt. Anyone who had there hopes up of winning the ultimus this season got rekt. Now we are here at the bees dick end of the season. We have the winner of S2 ultimus!!! The Las Vegas legion. Now I know they didn't even make the playoffs but they held a party and it was better than the actual winners party. I mean Arizona come on you win the ultimus and you throw it at chuck E cheese to save money? Shame on you guys. Even the otters went in on their pity party threw it in the middle of hurricane Harvey. Now here is the problem. Arizona is stacked and I mean so stacked it hurts my eyes looking at their roster. When they threw the ball it just floated to the wide receiver and touch down after touch down was scored. Another thing is their defense oh man their defense is OP can't get passed them even if I tried I remember just hitting the ground for days. Well I mean the ball was kicked it was thrown every other team was eliminated and our eventual winner was the Arizona outlaws. Congrats to them for one hell of a season. May I ask a favour and can you not make the playoffs next season? Okay thank you I mean I want my team to win and you'd just scare the hell out of me if I ever actually saw you there. In conclusion congrats to you Arizona outlaws you deserve the sweet victory and best of luck to you next season.

Championship game recap: well lets just say the arizona outlaws came prepared. They went in on the hawks. The hawks started with the ball and from thatbstsrt youncoild tell it was going to be tough to beat a stacked team such as arizona. The outlaws got the ball and quickly capitalized got a touchdown. The hawks seem to just struggle after that. Never really saw anything promising. The outlaws just kep on laying it on them constantly touch down after touch down. Field goal after field goal. The game eventually ended and the fat lady sang. 33 for the out laws and 6 for the hawks. Ok the lesson here folks is dont try beat the outlaws it is not worth the struggle. Allow them to just destroy. I can see thr outlaws beingnan absolute monster for seasons to come. Its crazy to think that this league is early in it's seasons yet it is about to have a dynasty and a feared team such as the outlaws. Their team ismscary good and they still will continue to add special players to the mix and it's exciting to see where tneg are headed in the future. Congrstulations arizona you deserve the victory again gokd luck to you next season. Dont destroy my team btw ok thank you.

Scrub Kyubee and Chris Orosz were two of the best QBs in the NSFL this season. Orosz led the league in passing yards with 3,657, and Kyubee passed for 3181 yards, fourth in the league. Orosz also completed more passes than Kyubee. (332 completions to 296 completions.) Orosz also threw more touchdowns than Kyubee (21 touchdowns to 14 touchdowns.). However, Kyubee threw less interceptions (15 interceptions for Kyubee; 17 interceptions for Orosz). Orosz also had a way better QB Rating, out-rating Kyubee by ten ratings! (84.1 to 74). Orosz completed 63.6 percent of his passes, and Kyubee only completed 58.6 percent of his passes. Overall, Chris Orosz had a WAY better season than Scrub Kyubee. I think Orosz should win the MVP award, as he was far na d away the best player in the league.

Börk Bjornsson and Jorge Masdival are different players who play different positions, but can be compared. Bjornsson, Yellowknife's Icelandic beast, made 52 tackles, and Masdival made only two less. However, Bjornsson had eight sacks this season, and Jorge Masdival had zero. (It's probably because Masdival is a safety.) Both had zero interceptions, which is surprising for Masdival, who is a defensive back, but expected for defensive tackle Bjornsson. Bjornsson made five tackles for loss, but was outdone by Masdival, who made seven tackles for loss. Overall, both had average seasons, but I'd say Bjornsson is the better player.

I think Philadelphia and Colorado didn't make the playoffs because they simply weren't good enough. Even though Philadelphia had a good defense, their offense lacked and they had a record of 5-9. They were outscored in total this season and only scored 216 points, worst in the NSFC. They had a good home record of 4-3, but they played horribly on the road, only winning one game and losing the other six. They also struggled in the division, going 2-4. Colorado had a better season, going 8-6, but were eliminated on the last week of the regular season, which must've been crushing. They had a great home record of 6-1, but like Philadelphia had a horrible road record. (Theirs was 2-6.) Colorado outscored their opponents this season, and went 3-3 in the division, but just didn't make it in the end. They must be hoping to bounce back next season.

Offensive Comparison: Compare one offensive player from each team in a series. Can be completed at any point

QB Chris Orosz of the Yellowknife Wraiths is by far the best quarterback in the league this season. He has two of the best weapons in Josh Garden and Bailey Cook at wide receiver, and he has Bubba Nuck as his running back. With those weapons, Orosz has been able to post 3657 yards, 21 TDs, 17 INTs, with an 84.1 rating and a completion percentage of 63.6 on the season. He will carry these numbers into the playoffs and quite possibly lead the Wraiths into the Ultimus Trophy. Scrub Kyubee on the other hand has been a middle of the pack quarterback. 3181 yards posted thrown, 14 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. A 74 Rating isn’t bad either, but it’s not the greatest. He is right in the middle of the pack, but he does have the league leading rusher in Darlane Farlane. It could be a battle of the Quarterbacks though, with the Wraiths having one of the weaker defenses in the league, and it is going to be great to see these guys go back and forth with each other. Kyubee can possibly dethrone Orosz especially if he can lead the Hawks past the Wraiths and face the ASFC in the Ultimus.

Jayce Tuck of the Arizona Outlaws is by far and away the best defensive end in the league, and could be in the running for MVP this season. With 67 tackles on the season, 19 tackles for loss, 23 sacks and a safety, Mr. Tuck really knows how to disrupt offensive lines and get in the back field. He is a one man wrecking crew and has been a huge anchor to the stout Arizona Defense. Tuck makes this defense scary and a lot of people expect him to wreak havoc against the Orange County Otters in the playoffs. Adamle Tomlinson is to the Orange County Otters what Jayce Tuck is to the Arizona Outlaws. He hasn’t had the same stats as Jayce, totaling only 31 tackles, 8 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, and 3 safeties. But he has been doing what he can to help sure up that Otter line. Without Tomlinson, the Otters would probably not be in the post season. A lot of people are thinking that the Otters have no chance in the game against the Outlaws, but if they are to somehow pull off this upset, Tomlinson will need to have the game of his life.

A problem that San Jose has had this season, is no doubt some players quitting on the team and the lack of activity. This has been a problem in San Jose since season one, but there have been a lot of changes since Bailey Cook forced his way out after the Sabercats traded A.C. Hackett. There has been speculation that Hackett would not stay in Yellowknife after this season but a lot of people are not believing that. Losing your top Linebacker, and then your top Wide Receiver hurts a lot. Trading Bailey Cook added Darren Smallwood and that has changed the atmosphere in San Jose. Look for San Jose to make vast jumps in the right direction. Las Vegas had a different approach when they became an expansion team right before the start of Season 2. Instead of building through the deep season two draft, they changed it up and traded a lot of their picks for established players. It had the potential to work, but instead it backfired in their face and now Arizona has the #1 pick overall in the season three draft. The Legion had a plan, and they will stick to it and more power to them. They have the chance to make some noise if they can get some late round sleepers and they have already traded away Matthew Peterson to start recuperate some of draft picks.

One season three rookie that has already had an impact and will possibly continue to make an impact is none other than Jayce Tuck’s little brother, Jaxon Tuck. In the game against the Otters alone, he had three rushes for 16 yards, at a 5.3 Yard per carry average and a touchdown. The Outlaws beat the Otters by 4 points, so that touchdown could have saved the season for Arizona. He has been a quiet man around the league, but he has quietly been putting in the work and will continue to improve throughout his career. He has shown flashes of greatness and he already has big shoes to fill following Jayce Tuck, even if it is only the name. He is one of the few players in the league to almost average 4 yards a carry, right under it at 3.9. If Tuck is drafted by Arizona and continues to stay behind the monster line, he will be a great pickup and a man to fill in when Reg Mackworthy gets tired. It already looks like Tuck has picked up a lot from Reg and will continue to do so throughout the playoffs. He is showing that he belongs in this league and will help quite probably bring another title to the Outlaws at the end of Season two.

The MVP of the playoff series between the Arizona Outlaws and the Orange County Otters has to be none other than Tim Pest. He led all Offensive Linemen in the game with seven pancakes and 0 sacks allowed. He also did not have a penalty against the Otters. Having to face against Lightskin Thor and Adamle Tomlinson is no easy task, and Pest handled it with ease. Pest was able to open up room for both Reg Mackworthy and Jaxon Tuck. He is the anchor on that line and he insured that Bronko would have his blindside safe the whole game. Pest followed through with that and helped keep the Arizona Outlaws in it for the long run. If the Outlaws want to win it all again this season they are going to need the same performance from Pest in the Ultimus Trophy, with how Pest has played all season and in this post season so far, is looking like it Is going to happen. Pest is the best offensive lineman this season, and he will continue to carry it throughout. As long as the rest of the line can keep it together, Pest will continue to lead them to the Promised Land.

In the NSFC championship game, we saw the Baltimore Hawks and the Yellowknife Wraiths face off. Both teams have a good quarterback and at first glance, both quarterbacks had a very similar night. Both scored one touchdown and one interception. Their average was very similar as well. The game was close, with only two points separating the teams, so you would think both did really well.

But they also had a very drastic difference. C. Orosz was not asked to do much, only completing 12 out of 25 passes for 113 yards. Meanwhile, S. Kyubee was much more active, completing 34 of 51 passes for 336 yards. He basically had three times the production of Orosz in this game. It really is a shocking thing that this game was so close despite this crave difference between quarterback play.

Part of the reason the game was close, was a 92 yard kickoff return that helped the Wraiths stay in this game. They only completed 2 out of 17 attempts to get a first down on 3rd and fourth down, while the Hawks completed 6 out of 18. This gave Kyubee the chance to throw the ball more. Because of that, the Hawks also had almost double the time of possession.

In the ASFC championship game, the Orange County Otters visited the Arizona Outlaws. Arizona was the big favourite, especially because of their amazing record and home field advantage. Another big advantage was that the Arizona defense is one of the best or the best in the league. Their big star is J. Tuck, one of the favorites to win defensive player of the year after an amazing season. Meanwhile it was the Otters defense that surprised, getting three interceptions (and even that was not enough to win the game).

J. Tuck had a surprisingly quiet game, only getting 4 tackles, 2 tackles for loss and 1 sack, an almost disappointing performance for him. Very comparable was L. Thor on the Otters, who ended up with 4 tackles and 3 tackles for loss. Thor actually only had 6 tackles for loss all season but 3 in this game, showing the improvement he made. A lot can also be argued that the pressure the Otters defense put on Bronko also lead to the 3 interceptions. Both Tuck and Thor were overshadowed by others on their defense, with F. Harris and M. Spector having great games for the Otters, and D. Dam having a fantastic time next to J. Tuck on the defensive line, with 2 sacks and a forced and recovered fumble. J. Tuck will have to improve in the final game if he wants to lead his team to the championship.

1. Offensive Comparison
In the NSFC Conference Championship game, there should be a solid quarterback battle between Yellowknife Wraiths QB Chris Orosz and Baltimore Hawks QB Scrub Kyubee. These two quarterbacks have established themselves as 2 of the leagues top 8 quarterbacks at least. It should be quite the competition to see who can lead there team to the victory. Orosz has shown himself to be the best QB in the league for this season, and Kyubee has not disappointed either. Orosz led the league in Completions, Yards,
Completion Percentage and Rating. Although Kyubee has been a little inconsistent at times, overall he is a fairly good quarterback. His 14:15 Touchdown to Interception Ratio is not good at all, but he threw over 50% Completion and Over 3000 yards. I will have to give the win in this battle to Orosz. He is not only the best QB in this matchup, but the best in the league. He is a legitimate MVP Candidate, and if anyone can stop the defending champions the Outlaws, it will be his Wraiths. Orosz and his favorite target Josh Garden have a great offensive duo that may be enough to get past the Outlaws an get the gold.

2. Defensive Comparison
In the ASFC Championship Game, there will be an interesting cornerback battle between Arizona Outlaws CB, Isaiah Rashad and Orange County Otters CB Anthony Petrakis. Both had stellar seasons at the Cornerback position, and I will now compare them to see who had the better season. Isaiah Rashad had 6 Interceptions, 19 Pass Deflections, 60 Tackles, a Touchdown, and A forced fumble. Petrakis had 2 Interceptions, 16 Pass deflections, and 66 tackles. The win here obviously goes to Rashad. Despite the good numbers put up by Petrakis, they are not even close to what is being presented by Rashad. The only factor that appears to be a strength on Petrakis side, can also be viewed as a weakness for the CB position. Tackles from a CB position can be viewed as the CB allowing the Wide Receiver to catch the ball, and then having to stop them from scoring. The 6 extra tackles that Petrakis have could be explained by the 3 less deflections he has and the 4 less interceptions. Probably not those exact moments, but it does show that Receivers will catch the ball more when guarded by Petrakis than Rashad. That is why I chose Rashad over Petrakis.

3. Bottom Half
With this piece, I will look at the two opposite sides of the spectrum when it comes to teams that did not make the playoffs. I will show why the Colorado Yeti, the team closest to making the playoffs, and the Legion, the worst team in the league, did not make the playoffs. The Colorado Yeti controversially did not make the playoffs due to the tiebreaker system that values Points Scored over Point Differential. The Yeti have a High Powered defense, and not so much on the offensive end. There offense needs work, particularly their Offensive Line. The weakest part of an otherwise strong team cost them a spot in the NSFL Playoffs. As for the Legion, there will be growing pains for any Expansion team. But god was this team bad. There were some shining lights in the dark, such as Running Back Ardie Savea, but for the near future, this team dies not seem to be in a good place. The GM could turn this team around, but it will be hard without their draft picks there. These are the reasons why the Colorado Yeti and the Las Vegas Legion did not make the NSFL playoffs this year.

4. Future Talent
So I am writing this in between the Championship games and the Ultimus game, so I will do which S3 rookie will have the biggest impact in the Ultimus game. I believe that Godfrey King of the Arizona Outlaws will have the biggest impact for the Ultimus game. I believe the Defensive Tackle will make his presence felt, and abuse the Hawks offensive line. Scrub Kyubee will be forced to make throws he does not want to, like he has been all season, leading to interceptions. He will also make sure that Darlane Farlane, the real threat on the Hawks squad, is held to a minimum amount of yards. While is is hard to stop Farlane, I do believe that King could hold a major part in containing the star running back. Do I feel like he will be the Ultimus MVP? No, That would be crazy, he is not even technically a rookie yet. However, I do believe that when all is said and done, people will be shocked by the performance put together by King. This is why I believe that Godfrey King will be the S3 rookie that makes the biggest impact in the NSFL Ultimus Game.

5. Playoff Series MVP
In my opinion, the MVP of the NSFC Conference Championship game was Baltimore Hawks QB, Scrub Kyubee. He threw 34 completions on 51 attempts. He threw 336 yards and a touchdown. He may have throw an interception, but he also definitely helped his team. He had an 83.5 Rating in the game. Even though the Hawks had home field advantage, many saw this as an upset for the Hawks, as their opponents , the Yellowknife Wraiths, had one of, if not the best, QB in the league, Chris Orosz. However, Kyubee held his own out on the field and showed that he could hang with the elite quarterbacks of the league. In the second quarter, he threw a beautiful 8 yard touchdown to Matthew Vincent. It was his team's only touchdown, and without it, the Wraiths would have won. If they had to settle for a field goal, then the final score would only be 13-12, Wraiths. Scrub Kyubee really stepped up this game in the NSFC Championship game, and that is why he is my choice for the NSFC Championship Game MVP.

I feel like a shoutout must be given to Levon Novel, who would have been MVP if the Wraiths had won. He had 3 kick returns, totaling 123 yards and a touchdown. That included a 92 yard kick return touchdown.

Offensive Comparison Write-Up (236 Words)

The NSFC battle for the Glacies Trophy was a close knit affair, with teams trading blows like they were Mayweather and McGregor. The matchup ended with just a 2 point differential, and the Baltimore Hawks beating the Wraiths 16-14 despite a valiant comeback attempt by the Wraiths in the fourth quarter. When looking at the stat sheet, the players at one position jump out as having had a direct effect on their respective team’s outcomes. Chris Orosz of the Wraiths had a poor effort in the game. He threw 12 for 25, which is a completion percentage of only 48%, less than half. Scrub Kyubee of the Hawks on the other hand threw 34 for 51, which is a completion percentage of 67%, and exactly two out of every three passes. This shows, as Kyubee was able to collect 336 yards, in comparison to Orosz’s measly 113 yards. It seems that the completion percentage was really the driving factor in the decision of theme. Both quarterbacks had similar averages per pass, with only a difference of .5 yards between them (9.4 for Orosz and 9.9 for Kyubee). They also both had a touchdown and an interception. So it seems that when Orosz was able to complete a pass, he was playing just as well as Kyubee, but unfortunately for him (and the Wraiths), he completed 19% less passes, which very possibly cost his team the victory.

The ASFC matchup for the Solis Trophy between the Arizona Outlaws and the Orange County Otters was a close one, with the Outlaws able to scrape by and claim the berth in the championship, and the chance for their second straight Ultimus. In the ASFC championship, one player’s performance stood out above all else from either team. Franklin Harris, linebacker, had a night to remember. He finished the game with 11 tackles, 3 more than any player on his own team, and a whopping 6 more than the Outlaws team leader in that category, linebacker Jaylon Lee. Franklin Harris also had two sacks on the night, compared with Jaylon Lee’s one. With a performance like Harris’, it’s hard to believe that he couldn’t guide his team to victory in this nail biter. Statistically, his performance (and others on his team) completely outclassed even the best on the Outlaws. However it seems that one thing, and one thing alone made the thread unravel for the Otters, penalties. While neither Harris nor Lee scored a penalty, 8 players on the Otters did, for 9 total penalties resulting in 75 free yards. It seems that no matter what kind of a performance Franklin Harris gave, it wouldn’t be enough because of that. For Jaylon Lee, it shows that even an off night can still garner the win if your team plays clean and doesn’t give up free yards.

Offensive Comparison:

I am going to attempt to take an unbiased approach to this comparison. Since they were facing off in the conference championship game, I want to take a look at how Mike Boss and King Bronko arrived. On paper, Boss is the better QB but records and accolades would suggest Bronko is the superior signal caller. While boss leads in completion percentage, QB rating, and passing yards, he also leads in the interception category as well. He has a great bunch of receivers but they just aren’t scoring points. With every Otters loss determined by 1 possession or less, you have to believe that these interceptions could have been the difference in some of these games. Meanwhile, Bronko is finding the end zone more as he has thrown 4 more TDs on 35 less completions and he is turning the ball over less. Both of these stats are a direct measure as to why the Outlaws are so successful. Compound that with Bronko standing behind arguably the 2nd best offensive line, and you have a recipe for success. While Boss may light up the stats sheet and make fantasy owners fall in love, he is likely not your top choice when the game is on the line and you need to score.

Bottom Half:

Today, I will take a look at the expansion teams the Philadelphia Liberty and the Las Vegas Legion. Both teams are in their inaugural season and their records are probably what most people expected. The Legion were led by QB Josh Bercovici. While he has a solid receiving core of Stormblessed and Johnny Rocket, he just isn’t getting the job done. Bercovici is barely completing 48% of his passes which only slightly eclipses his passer rating of 54.6. His turnover ratio is 1.43 meaning he turns the ball over nearly 50% more than he finds his receivers in the end zone. All the blame can’t be put on Bercovici though. He is standing behind statistically the worst offensive line in the league. I would say Bercovici has one more season to prove he belongs in the NSFL.
The Philadelphia Liberty, while being last in their division, posted a better record than 2 teams in the ASFC. Their QB, Jameis Christ, is in the middle of the QB pack as far as stats go. His main focus for the upcoming season should be scoring more TDs. Only 2 of their losses were decided by a single score. He’s throwing to Fox North who should be great in the near future and the Liberty may have the best TE in Paul DiMirio. I feel if the Liberty grab a few key pieces in the draft this year, you probably won’t see them in the bottom half this time next season.

Future Talent:

The impending rookie who has made the biggest impact in the post season would be Al Sims. Al joined the Otters mid-season as part of a waiver pick-up. He has been great for them so far as he was brought in to replace Josh Langdon who had been inactive lately and was one of the least consistent kickers in the league. Al Sims wasted no time getting up to speed and became a reliable kicker that performed great under pressure. So far, Sims has missed one extra point kick on a block and boasts the league’s best field goal percentage when kicking greater than 40 yards. The coaches have had no hesitation when sending him on the field to put points on the board. With so many games being determined by 1 score or less, field goals in this league carry extreme value and kickers you can count on are hard to find. While his team didn’t win their playoff match-up, look for Al to be a high draft pick and continue to have success in the NSFL. I could see a team like the Philadelphia Liberty taking a chance on him as their current kicker has struggled with some of the longer field goals.

Defensive Comparison:

I want to take a look at two of the defensive players in the Orange County Otters vs the Arizona Outlaws game. This would be the defensive end position and the performances of Arizona’s Jayce Tuck and the Otter’s Lightskin Thor. Thor had a relatively productive game with 4 tackles and 3 of them being behind the line of scrimmage. For anyone who saw this game, initial field position and the ability to move the chains was what would ultimately decide the outcome. Having a player who could stuff the run like Thor gave the Otters a chance all the way until the final whistle.
On the other sideline, we had Jayce Tuck. In a lose scoring game that came down to the final possession, he had a part in slowing the Otters offense to a crawl. He was able to stop the running back behind the line of scrimmage twice. In a game where the Otters continued to stick to the run game even in typical passing situations and late game, Tuck was there to make an impact. He was also able to sack Mike Boss once late in the 4th quarter which later forced to punt the ball away. While he isn’t the sole reason for the Outlaws victory, he definitely deserves his share of the credit.

Playoff Series MVP:

First off, to be a playoff series MVP, I feel your team needs to win. That narrowed down the candidates to just the Arizona Outlaws and the Baltimore Hawks. Congratulations to both teams on making it to the Ultimus. Looking back, there was only one player I thought made a massive enough impact, that he could be directly responsible for his team’s win and that player is Jayce Tuck. At first glance, his stat line isn’t too impressive. 4 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, and 1 sack. What set him apart wasn’t the stats themselves, it was when he made these plays. He didn’t really make his presence known in the first half as his first tick on the stat sheet came halfway through the 3rd quarter but it was big. He hit Leroy Jenkins behind the line on a 3rd down run to force a punt. His team was able to score a touchdown with their next possession. As the Otters were trying to claw back, he stuffed Jenkins again on another run attempt. His next contribution came by way of a sack on Mike Boss. This put the Otters in a 2nd and long situation and they found themselves punting 2 plays later. His last big play came inside the final 2 minutes when the Otters were making their last attempt for a go-ahead score. On a 4th and 6 run by Jenkins, Tuck once again met him at the line of scrimmage forcing a turnover on downs. This became the last play the Otters touched the ball as the Outlaws wound down the clock to their 2nd Ultimus appearance.

Offensive player comparison:

The Wraiths and Hawks had a very tight game, with the Hawks coming out on top and having the much better offensive game. I want to compare the two running-backs now, both great rushers, with B. Nuck and D. Farlane. Farlane is arguably the offensive rookie of the year, leading the league in rushing yards, while Nuck had a fantastic season himself.

In this game, Farlane comes out looking stronger. He had 31 rushes for 101 attempts and 2 catches for 31 yards. Meanwhile Nuck had 27 rushes for 78 yards and 2 catches for 8 yards. As you can see, Farlane had better numbers all over. He had more attempts but still had a higher average as well.

Even when you go deeper, you will find Farlane was more impressive as a whole. Farlane hadnine rushes over 5 yards, while Nuck had 7. Most impressively, 7 of Farlane's rushes lead to a first down, while only ONE of Nucks did so. However, farlane was not better in every category. Farlane had two drops, while Nuck had one. He also had 8 rushes that went 0 yards or negative yards, while Nuck had six of those. Most importantly Farlane also had a fumble in the game, which could have been a disaster for the Hawks. In the end I still think farlane was better but the fumble is a bit of a game-changer as well.

Defensive Player comparison:

A. Hackett and S. Harrison both lead their teams in tackles, but how do they compare beyond that? Hackett of the Wraiths had 12 tackles, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble and 1 pass deflection, while Harrison of the Hawks had 13 tackles and 1 tackle for loss. At first glance Hackett had the better overall game for sure. Let's go a bit more in depth.

Two big factors that give Hackett the advantage are that he had a forced fumble and a sack. His pass deflection doesn't help either. Those are all things that stand out in his favor.

When comparing the tackles, I looked at every individual tackle. Hackett had nine tackles on rushes, the rushes went on average 3.6 yards. Harrison had ten tackles on rushes and they went on average 3.4 yards. Small edge towards Harrison but he not quite that significant. However, only one of Harrison's tackles came after a first down had already been achieved by the offense. Meanwhile, three of Hackett's came after a first down - definitely the edge to Harrison there.

Hackett had two tackles after a pass, while Harrison had three. Hackett allowed a 4 yard pass and a 20 yard pass, however the 20 yard pass is the one where Hackett forced the fumble, negating the first down. Harrison allowed a 1 yard, a 4 yard and a 5 yard catch, one of which was a first down.

In general, two of the tackles Hackett had forced a fourth down, while Harrison had three of them. In all of these statistics, Harrison has a bit of an advantage, which shows his performance was a lot closer to Hackett than it seems at first glance, but overall Hackett still had the better game thanks to the turnover and sack.

Bottom Half:

The Philadelphia Liberty and the Las Vegas Legion were both expansion teams this season. Neither of them was expected to contend for the playoffs. If anything, people expected the Legion to do better, due to their drastic and aggressive strategy of trading away draft picks and getting established players instead. However, that strategy backfired quite a bit.

Neither team got close to the playoffs, with the Liberty winning 5 games and the Legion winning 3. Both teams struggled with the main advantage in the league, home-field. The Liberty at least had 4 of their 5 wins at home, while the Legion only won one game at home, worst in the league. Home-Field currently has around a 70% win chance, so that is quite a bad problem. The five best teams in the league actually won 91% of their home games, so the Legion only winning one of seven home games really stands out.

The Legion also struggled elsewhere, with the lowest points scored of any team. The Liberty at least scored more than the Sabercats and Legion, but were also worst in their conference. The Legion allowed the 2nd most points while the Liberty actually had a fairly decent defense, allowing the 5th most points.

Playoff Series MVP:

Most likely this player will be overlooked by most fans but D. Dam was the crucial factor in the Outlaws win over the Otters. The Outlaws, by far the favourite team to win it all, struggled against the Otters and only won by four points. With three interceptions by Bronko, the defense ended up on the field for a long time.

After an early field goal by the Otters, they were up 3-0 and after forcing a punt were looking to add to their lead in the first quarter. However, on the first play of that drive, Dam got through to the quarterback and sacked M. Boss for an 11 yard loss. But that was not all. Boss lost the football and Dam recovered the fumble he forced himself.

This put the Outlaws on the 6 yard line and after three more plays, Jaxon Tuck rushed into the endzone for the first touchdown of the game. The Outlaws took the lead and they never gave it back for the rest of the game. It took until the third quarter until the Outlaws scored another touchdown. Without this turnover, this game could have turned out very very differently. D. Dam probably doesn't get the credit he deserves for that play.

Future talent:

Brice Boggs is the predicted number one pick in the season three draft, after an incredible season as a waiver wire pickup for the Wraiths. Boggs was also part of the playoff team that faced the Hawks in the NSFC championship game, a game that the Wraiths ultimately lost. Boggs was solid in the game, with five tackles, but didn't add any other things on the day. He also had a five yard penalty.

When looking at his regular season statistics though, Boggs stands out. He had 82 tackles, 5 tackles for loss, 2 forced fumbles, 6 sacks, 1 interception and 3 pass deflections. In a way, it is sad that he wasn't able to contribute more in the playoffs but perhaps the pressure of his first playoff game was too much. He is not even drafted yet after all.

In the end, I don't think the loss or the somewhat weak performance in the playoffs will hurt Boggs draft stock. A player like him will have many teams interested and if he doesn't go first overall like many believe, he will not be there for long. Expect Boggs to be one of the frontrunners for the rookie of the year award next season.
