Spinelli was ranked as the top running back in terms of current skill sets especially when it comes to speed, but that didn't stop him from not only falling all the way to the fourth round, but he was also the second RB taken off of the board with Conall O'Sullivan going 16th overall. When asked about this he commented "I guess Norfolk just doesn't have faith in my development but, I aim to prove them wrong here." He later went on to say "They [Norfolk] were one of my top destinations but, some of their early picks were spent on people who's track records in this league are spotty at best when it comes to consistency....I mean no disrespect to anybody but, it makes me feel a bit better I didn't end up there that's all. We are for sure on a different page. I hope the best for them, but i'm gonna be sure to tear it up against them while i'm down here
