Only one player has me excited from this upcoming draft. Carlito Crush. The dude is 6'6, and 260 pounds. Do you think anyone will be getting in his way? He's as strong as a bull, and can absolutely destroy kids out on the field. He's a complete monster. Built like a frickin truck. And don't forget, he can block as well. Nobody's getting past this guy. Need to get your running back some space? Put Crush out there. His name fits his job description perfectly. Looking at his scouting report one more time, this guy can fucking catch too. What can't he do? The recent first overall pick of the Colorado Yeti is looking like a complete stud of a pick. Can't wait to see this guy out on the field wrecking people left and right.

This guy will be jumping in and making an immediate impact for the Yeti. Look to see him take over as the starting tight end immediately, replacing that scrub Sebastian Joyce. He'll be the best tight end this league has ever seen, guarantee. 100% Joyce stamp of approval. Now, time to hit the gym with Crush and see what he's all about, Yeti style.

At the time of writing this the draft has already happened but I am extremely excited for a few rookies in the nsfl. First up is Carlito Crush who was drafted to the Yeti's. Carlito Crush absolutely "crushed" it in the tight end position his rookie year in the Dsfl. Despite a small tight end class he is still number one tight end of the year and nearly mvp in my eyes (Only beat out by my next favorite.) I honestly can't wait to see how he is come the next season. I hope he is able to prove a formidable weapon and asset to the Yeti's. Up next is one of my personal favorites from the Dsfl and the guy that got most valuable player (Extremely well earned I might add.) John Wachter. Being drafted by the Baltimore Hawks, John Wachter is going to be a serious threat this season. Boasting a massive average yards per catch I wouldn't be surprised to also see John get more touchdowns this season as most of the Portland touchdowns were scored by Carlito Crush. Up next is someone very near and dear to my heart, Gregory Fletcher. Drafted sixth overall Gregory Fletcher was selected by the Baltimore Hawks as well. Despite the extremely tough wide receiver game in the Nsfl I have high hopes for Gregory. Despite only three interceptions in his first Dsfl season Gregory was able to achieve a league highest amount of passes defended with seventeen! Gregory needed a little bit of tackling practice but that was taken care of in the off season. In conclusion there is a tremendous amount of talent in this draft and I am excited to see it all!

The NSFL is trending towards a passing league more and more. So being able to have an efficient passing game on offense and being able to disrupt the passing game on defense are two critical jobs of a team. In Baltimore, both their first round picks are weapons to help achieve those two goals. WR John Wachter and CB Gregory Fletcher join what are already talented position groups on the Hawks but they will make their marks starting at game one. Both players will be able to exploit mismatches while the veteran WRs and CBs on the team will take the more difficult assignments. Off the field and in the locker room both players have received rave reviews from peers about their character, and you can't have enough people like that on a team. When Wachter and Fletcher were in the DSFL, they were part of the rivalry of the past two DSFL champions, the Pythons and the Marshalls. Both players had fantastic seasons in the DSFL and will be one and done players. The fans of the Hawks are excited to infuse these two super talented rookies to provide depth in the present and hopefully develop into superstars of the future. (202)

Perhaps I’m a bit biased, but as the new Wraiths’ co-GM, I’m super excited to see Cameron Taylor make his way up to the NSFL. As one of the top prospects this season, he was the guy that I had my eye on to come in and take our defense to the next level. He was a top TPE earner in the DSFL, accruing almost 200 TPE during his time in the league so far. While other teams sought to target Cornerbacks, Tightends, and Wide Receivers, these were all positions the Wraiths are very strong at. However, a good Safety can do a lot to impact their team. While Cornerbacks like Dermot Lavelle and Philippe Carter keep the long-range passing game in check, safeties like Taylor provide that next layer of defense that is so essential to victory. After all, first-downs are often the result of many short passes and runs, both of which Taylor and his fellow Safeties will be there to combat.

I am extremely thrilled to call this man one of our own and see him don the Wraith colors. We know he’s going to be a tremendous part of our defense for the next few years to come and possibly well beyond that. Welcome to the Wraiths, Cameron Taylor!

In a very top-heavy S5 NSFL draft class there were several high value prospects to be found in round 1 that GMs are sure to lean on heavily even in their first professional season in the NSFL. One such rookie who is bound to get a heavy workload starting on day 1 is Carlito Crush of the Colorado Yeti. Although tight ends are not a powerhouse position in the NSFL I expect the Yeti to find clever ways to utilize him in the passing game in order to give struggling interception machine Pierno some more options to work with. By lining Carlito up not only at tight end but also out at wide receiver or in the slot they can potentially create some interesting mismatches against opposing secondaries. Also having a tight end with some experience as a blocker could hopefully give him opportunities to seal the edge and break open standout running back Boss Tweed for some longer runs this season. Long term I imagine that Carlito Crush will likely end up transitioning to a full-time wide receiver as he becomes his quarterbacks #1 target in the passing game. If he can find opportunities to showcase his speed and hands and keep the chains moving in Colorado they stand a chance to break into the playoffs in the next three seasons.

Cameron Taylor was drafted in this years NSFL Draft at #4 by the Yellowknife Wraiths. Taylor who had a superb season in the DSFL with the Portland Pythons has a new home in the Canadian Northwest Territories. Although it's not exactly a new home, Taylor is after all Canadian by birth and spent much of his childhood in the beautiful country.

Taylor stands at 193 tpe as of today and primarily plays in the safety position. He joins an already stacked Wraiths secondary which features S2 standout Dermot Lavelle, S1 veteran Jogn Floggity, Marcus Kane and S4 breakout player of the year Clee Hardrool.

Taylor has potentially the most rounded skillset of any prospect from this years draft with 73 agility, 76 speed, 71 endurance and 67 hands heading into S5. While speed is not the biggest factor for a safety when the cornerbacks are capable, we could still see some problems for Taylor.

The Yellowknife Wraiths will hope that Taylor is the impact player that will push them over the line in their elusive goal of taking the Ultimus home to Canada, especially after last seasons crushing Ultimus final loss to the Orange County Otters. Can the Wraiths finally overcome the struggle of not being able to win the big one?

The man who I am going to talk about is the most exciting player to watch the future star of the DSFL known to be John Wachter. He has won awards which means more than one in his first year in the DSFL. Wide Receiver of the year, Offensive Player of the year, offensive rookie of the year, Most Valuable Player and Outstanding player. That is mad and that is incredible. Going to Portland, leading them to successful season with a 11-3 record and being successful in the post season. He was like a ball game. He has incredible speed, incredible endurance, and incredible hands. He is somewhat a lit guy. He had a total of 5 touchdowns, 1144 yards and 95 receptions which makes sense on these awards he've won.

Now where will he end up in the draft? Since the draft have passed, i will pretend I do not know the results. He is for sure a top 3 pick but if he goes to Colorado, him and Pierno are a good one two touch in the future and that will be awesome to touch and really help the Yeti. If he goes to Baltimore, we know how it will end up. So he'll be a fantastic player for ny of the 2 teams get gets drafted to.

Ryan Sierra – OL – Orange County Otters
(S5) PT #1 Rookie

With all the excitement of the Season 5 NSFL Draft, we were all delighted to see it unfold last night in all it’s glorious fashion. There were a few surprises and there were some picks that went chalk. The excitement I felt as a draftee was real. Having plenty of confidence I would be going in the 1st round, my research into other’s mock drafts told another story. The surprise I received was not that I went in the 1st round, but who drafted me. To my surprise, the Baltimore Hawks did not draft me, even after two weeks of correspondence and having two opportunities to do so, with picks #3 and #6. Their loss, as the Orange County Otters chose me with pick #7, a steal in my opinion, to find the 5th highest TPE gaining player in the draft. Perhaps I was a position change away from being a top five pick, but now there’s no doubt the OC Otters will reap the benefits of an active player who’s willing to do whatever it takes to help the team be successful, regardless of position. To the four other teams who felt Ryan Sierra was, “just not who they needed at this time”, we’re looking forward to seeing you on the battlefield.

There is definitely one player that interests me the most, and another I'm curious about.

First up is Terrell Brister. The user has been very active around the league. The fact that he is the DFSL defensive rookie of the year is no joke. He definitely puts in the work and will probably be one of the most memorable players in this draft class.
On top of his player activity, he has spearheaded the recruitment team. This is definitely very challenging due to the need of going to different online communities and pitching the idea of a simulation league. It's possible the communities don't want to be solicited towards or they don't understand the appeal of the simulation league. Either way, he has his work cut out for him.
On top of that, he will now be part of the front office for the legion. I think this is great and he can really breath some life and activity in to a team that just had a mass exodus.


The other player I'm curious about is Tegan Atwell. Mainly I'm curious about how she will be the first female drafted in to the NSFL and the buzz around that. I'm curious how the locker room will go and I think it will be very interesting to watch.

It’s really easy for me to pick Carlito Crush or John Wachter since they were both my teammates and I’m super pumped to see them go to the big leagues, but I wanted to give some shine to my defensive teammate Cameron Taylor (@CDub2). Not to take anything away from either of them, like you can since they are beasts on the field, but I still can’t believe he got picked so late in the DSFL draft and even though PDXBaller said Carlito was the steal of the draft, I disagree with him on that. Taylor was great to have in the locker room and was interesting to see as a punt returner too. I loved his punt return against the Norfolk Seawolves in the West finals and he played a big part in a lot of games towards the end of the season. I think us defense guys take a bit longer to ramp up with TPE, but once we get the right skills going we shoot up in productivity. I saw that in Taylor and he was a top TPE guy in the DSFL for sure. The Yellowknife Wraiths picked up a real quality guy and he will be around for a while if they keep him active.
